  1. Palace deserve at least a point from that game. Lucky, lucky Arsenal...
  2. But like Falcao, he has a whole attacking system that is centered around him. He won't have that here.
  3. He's benefiting immensely from a system that was built for Falcao. I'm not denying that he can score, he's a great poacher, but just like Falcao, I don't think he'd get half of those goals at Chelsea. It is no coincidence that Falcao had over 60% of his team's goals and that now Costa is doing the exact same.
  4. I hope the boys prove me wrong. Komapny is blow to their defense, but we'll need a couple of Silva, Toure and Aguero to be having an off day. The problem with City is that they have too many threats to mark.
  5. I'm not saying we can't beat them, of course we can, all I'm saying that if both teams are playing at their best, City are more likely to come out on top. Alright, let me rephrase that: The best I've seen this Chelsea team play is no where the best I've seen this City team play. Right, it was at the Etihad. Yes, united were very poor, but City were incredibly good. They could have 7 or 8 in that game. I don't that we can do that to united even at SB. If it's an early goal in the first 15-20 mins then, no. If we score we'll sit back and we can't keep City out for 75 minutes.
  6. No Thank you. In 4 of the last 6 matches between us and City, the side that scored the first goal went on to lose the match. The two exceptions were the 0-0 draw at SB and the 2-1 defeat at Wembley last year.
  7. Because when both teams are at their best, City are by far better. No one in the league comes close to the football that City can play when they are at their best, the kind of football that they played at OT this season. If they play like they did at OT, we honestly can't match their tempo and abilities; their squad is simply better. Plus City tend to have developed a knack of playing their best games against us in recent years. If you factor in that we have 7-8 consecutive relatively easy, all winnable, matches in the league after this one, yeah, I'll chop your hand off right now for a boring 0-0 draw.
  8. Is he injured again? He's not made a single appearance for them yet.
  9. Can't I like both? They're not exactly mutually exclusive.
  10. No, it really didn't because Ryan's performance against Cardiff was better than most of Ash's performances this season.
  11. Tbh, I don't mind the rotation in the front four. We have a lot of attacking players and a lot of games, you'll need all of them in form. As for the chemistry, I think Jose is trying to build a system where anyone of our players can come in or go out of the side with minimal effect.
  12. This looks really likely to happen. Always good to have more young talent in the squad...and more Germans!
  13. It's not exactly showing respect, especially if you go on to call him naive arrogant and insult and dismiss his opinion. Would you be happy if people call you grandpa and old fart because of your age and just dismiss your opinion by calling you ignorant and a dinosaur? Anyway, you've single handedly managed to destroy this thread with petty insults and disrespect. Make sure that never happens again. Locked.
  14. He's alive. He's ALIVE!! Played 90 mins as Valencia beat St. Gallen 5-1 at home.
  15. I think he's one of the top talents we have in the academy. I think technically he's one of the best players I've seen at his age so it was only normal that we tie him down to a contract before other teams come snooping around. But I very much doubt that he'll be going on loan anywhere before at least two years.
  16. Yet you still resorted to childish insults.. It's not a matter of personal preference of what we want to ignore, but rather a matter of forum rules and what type of discussion we, the staff, wish have on the forum. I don't want to derail this thread anymore, so I'll end by asking you again to try be respectful to the people you are debating with and to avoid insulting them or their opinions. Thanks.
  17. If anyone cannot back his arguments and brings false information, then it should be very easy for you to refute his claims without having to resort to petty things like insulting and disrespecting him or his opinions.
  18. Not really the point. Those are footballing opinions; meaning there is no right and wrong. If there were only one thing that is known to be right and everything else was wrong, there would be no need for football forums to have discussions on and none of us would be here. What there is right and wrong in, is members conduct on the forum; and that'e because we have clear rules that decide what is right and what is wrong. So please try to discuss in the "right" way.
  19. I know you're new here, but you need to respect people and their opinions. If you can't debate respectfully then don't at all. Personal insults are not tolerated on this forum.
  20. What? He's often not a starter with our youth team!
  21. I think Willian will start indeed, but at the expense of Schurrle who's ankle still seems to be bothering him.
  22. Playing with 12 men will definitely give us an edge. Wonder why Jose didn't think of it before! No chance, imo. Hazard and Oscar are nailed on starters.
  23. That's not really the case, though. I've been criticizing Jose on various subjects and decisions since he came back, but I said he knows best regarding this, not because he is Mourinho, but because we were talking about who is physically better. So I said Jose knows better because he gets to see the players train in the gym and make sprints and other physical trainings that we can't see in games. If we were talking about technical ability or any other skill I would not have sad so.
