  1. Honestly, I think Iva was our second best CB last season after Luiz who had an incredible season. I think he was miles better than JT and Cahill last season. I've always liked him much more at CB.
  2. Hey @The Skipper, since the sexiest women thread got deleted, can you get your bitch to post half-naked pics of herself for our entertainment?
  3. I remember I signed him once in FIFA09 and he was very good We should definitely get him
  4. Not to defend Mrs, Bitch, but the discussion wasn't about this incident in particular but the countless incidents since we've signed him when he or his father have spoken to the press. Like I said, there have been way too many incidents for them all to be mistranslations. If he had said what he is supposed to say: "Right now I am focusing on my team, I do my best with Athletico Madrid and if the NT manager thinks I've done enough then he will pick me. It's his decision and I respect it." then the reporter could not have twisted his words.
  5. Is that really unpopular out of Stamford Bridge. I'd probably rank them that way as well, although I'd have Gerrard and Frank pretty much on the same level.
  6. That's not a fact, that's an opinion. I think the amount of effort he puts in is normal, not great and not bad, this season at least. But I also think that he has had games where the effort he put in was just appalling. Doesn't really mean much that Jose is playing him when his other options are a half-retired Eto'o and Demba Ba. If we had, let's say Mandzukic, and Jose kept playing Torres, then you would have a good point. I never said that he puts no effort, I just said that to love him for his effort makes no sense. It wasn't you that said that, but the guy that I originally replied to, but you quoted by reply and wanted to discuss it so I explained what my point originally was to the guy who said that he loves Torres for his effort and work.
  7. No that's just what you want to believe. His teammates being happy for him does not in any way imply that he works hard. There is a huge logical gap between the two. It could be the case, but it doesn't necessarily need to be the case. Here's another explanation: His teammates defend him and are happy to see him score because he bakes them cookies everyday And just like your theory, I can't prove that. Again, I'm not saying that your claim is wrong, just that your logic to prove it is extremely flawed. This season, I think Torres brings a physicality to the team that you really need in some games. I think his movement has been good, his work-rate decent; but his pressing and defending is a bit behind Eto'o. Overall, I honestly think he just shades it as our best striker this season, not that that means much. I can understand praising Rami or Willian or even Oscar for their work-rate and effort, but to say that you love Torres for his effort, to me, is like saying you fell in love with a girl because she has a nose.
  8. Torres was going through a very rough period, he was playing very badly. It was only normal for his manager and teammates praise his "effort" and "training" in those situations to defend him from the (probably rightful) criticism. He's a professional footballer, on a whole lot of money. It is not something out of the ordinary (or worth praise, imo) for him to work in training and try to improve his weaknesses. That is the least you should expect of him or any other player in our team.
  9. I don't mind that, tbh. Some of the best footballers in the world had the biggest egos I've ever seen: Ibra, Drogba, Pele..etc. As long as he's using that ego for the benefit of the team and to win games and not to negatively affect his teammates, then it's perfectly fine, imo.
  10. But surely you can't know what he does in training either so the reasons you love him are completely based on what you want and not what is. Not arguing for or against Torres's work ethic, just against the poor logic you're using to prove it.
  11. I'll take it if no one wants it..
  12. Ramos is a very average defender. I'd have Michael Dawson in my team before him. Threads have just been vanishing around here lately! First the sexiest women thread now this. I think the forum is haunted...
  13. I don't which was worse, the players constantly trying to injure the opposition, or the play acting and diving when there was actually no contact...
  14. That's got to be the funniest shit I've seen all week! Lmaooo
  15. I think I lost a bit of my love for football after that game. What a shit league!
  16. I really don't like Newcastle and Pardew. Hope we put half a dozen past them which really isn't unrealistic with the amount of chances we create. All we need is to be clinical in the final third. We could really use a boost to our GD.
  17. I'm not doing any bets with @Stingray! It says "Mate, you're just evil"....I see you're not a very bright bitch
  18. Reminds me so much of last season :')
