Fine, that was stupid. Does that make the other statement not stupid? Fair enough, your opinion.
-
Did you even read my post? I'm saying criticize him all you want and I even agree with some of the criticism, just don't say something completely illogical and bordering on stupid like "He's an awful CB" and expect no one to call you out for it.
-
No you're right, mate, he's won all those trophies by sheer luck, became a starter for his NT because no one in Brasil knows how to play football, was bought by Chelsea for 25m because our scouts are shit and attracted interest from Barca and Bayern because they're bad teams and know nothing about football... I don't want to go into a debate about Luiz's abilities right now because I think it's pointless. Like I said, you have every right to criticize whatever you want about Luiz and I do see the most of the points being raised because like I said I think he's having a below than average season, but to call him someone as established and accomplished as him "an awful CB" is just ridiculous and blinded by hate.
-
Mine was actually about a game where he played at CM and I think a couple of others are as well. But the funny part is, here was your reply to my post: I'm not denying that Luiz can be error prone at times, and I get why some people want him gone, but the guy has also showed that he can be absolutely world-class and he perform at the highest level. My point is, let's not insult each others intelligence by calling him an awful CB.
-
Fine that was an exaggeration, just like you saying that no neutral fan holds him in high regards is an even bigger exaggeration. You can't deny that Luiz was very highly rated in the summer and was wanted by the likes of Barca and Bayern for a reason. He's having a below average season, but for all we know he could finish this season the way he finished last, as by far the best CB in England, and everyone would be saying that they wouldn't sell him for 40m again.

I get that you don't like him and you have every right to your opinion, but to call someone as established and accomplished as him as "an awful CB" is just ridiculous. Let's try to keep the discussion a bit logical. Go back a hundred pages in this thread and read.

Unacceptable! This is coming off your paycheck!
-
He gets to about 5-6 yards away from him and just stops like he often does. When the winger touches the ball and switches it to his right foot, Iva makes no attempt what so ever to pressure him and put him off, he just stands there:
-
He had a bad game yesterday, but talk about exaggeration...To begin with, no one had an outstanding game for us, no one, so it's not like it was only Rami who under-performed. Plus, we all know that his biggest assets has always been his energy and his runs which he obviously can't do when opponents sit deep. He always plays worse against teams that defend deep, we already know that.
-
Yes, the guy who's helped his teams win many trophies including two European trophies and the CONFEDs, the main CB for one of the best NTs in the world, the guy who, just in a few months ago in the summer, everyone here was refusing to sell him to Barca and Bayern for 40m and who everyone in the world considered in the top 5 if not top 3 CBs in the world is "an awful CB" We drop two points and suddenly everyone turns into a hormone-crazed pregnant women!
-
Would rather shout at the ref than actually defend. Cech had every right to yell at him. The nervousness at the back cause by this and a couple of defending mistakes is what gave WBA the belief and momentum to go forward and put us under pressure to get an equalizer. Before that they didn't create much.
-
Any news about his injury?
-
The result was frustrating, but not as much as reading this thread. Oscar is shit, Luiz is a pub team player, Ramires is not a footballer and we need to buy to replace half our team just because we dropped two points even though we have been the best team in the league in the past 6-7 weeks! It really gets on my nerves sometimes how spoiled our fans have become..
-
FFS, Mikel cost us the points again!
-
Anichibe was holding his shirt first and then Luiz grabbed his back. That's never given because both players are grabbing each others shirts. And even if Anichibe wasn't holding Luiz's shirt, why in the world would that be another yellow? And finally, don't you find it weird that you're bringing this up when even Anichibe nor the WBA players appealed for it?!
-
I'm hoping it was a cramp and not a muscle injury. No reporter asked about him post-match. Guess we'll have to wait till the City prematch PC to find out..
-
Shit manager, can't even beat "a team like WBA"! No. I honestly don't...
-
If this was an isolated case, then you'd probably have a point. But Iva does this every single time! He never closes down crosses. It has cost us in the past and it cost us again today.
-
-
Maybe, but then he would run the risk of giving away a pen if he blocks off Anichibe and doesn't get the ball and he'd be in no position to do anything if Anichibe missed the ball. Plus, we all know that Petr has been reluctant to get into collisions since his injury. Honestly, Cech is probably the least culprit for that goal after Iva not blocking the cross at least pressurizing the crosser, Luiz losing Anichibe and even Garry Cahill's positioning (Although, I don't really blame him, he was limping with an injury).
-
The reverse angle from in front of the goal clearly shows that he wasn't getting there ahead of Anichibe. Maybe he should have stayed on his line, but he wouldn't have saved it on any account. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1bsut6_goal-anichebe-west-bromwich-1-1-chelsea-11-02-2014-highlights_sport#from=embediframe

Partially at fault for the goal, yes, but he had a good overall game and made some crucial interceptions and blocks. It wasn't a even a 'big' mistake. Anichibe, who had just got on from the bench and was fresh while Luiz had been playing for 86 mins, had a few yards run on him and beat him to the cross. Yes, he should have done better, but I blame Ivanovic for not trying to stop the cross or even put pressure on the player crossing much more than I blame Luiz.
