We won't be hearing the end of this, will we? What's next? Being asked to shout "defense" when the opposition have the ball?!

This is a very good read. Garry Neville interview with Luis Van Gaal: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/managers/louis-van-gaal/11052364/Louis-van-Gaal-It-has-been-a-very-difficult-start-at-Manchester-United-but-I-will-deliver.html

Or is it that your tolerance for bellends have decreased? Time for your bellend shot, I reckon

I think ISIS are temporary by force of human nature. It's not a matter of religion or culture or civilization. You only need to be human to reject them. Hence they are doomed to be rejected like a cancerous cell from their birth. The only question is when will they start to recede. That, unfortunately, is a political question. Because, let's be honest, if everyone wanted them gone, they will be gone. They are currently a political card used to put pressure on the opponents by both sides. A very wild and violent political pressure card but still only a tool. I suspect the beginning of their end to be as part of a regional political agreement from Iran to Syria to Iraq to Lebanon even to Palestine. Because only a KSA-Iran agreement (and by KSA I mean USA) can end ISIS. But that is going to be a very slow procedure. I'm talking months, maybe even years. And slightly off the political radar, people will continue to die by the thousands, unfortunately.

Haha, that's nothing. I distinctly remember an African-style multi-color shirt, but with about 10 pounds of 'bling'!

Yes, except those lot want to kill more people. They want to remove the part about Islam being a choice and not something that people have to follow.

I know it has been posted above, but I'll post again because it is hilarious He and his assistant at Cardiff were being investigated for something else (something like fraud or stealing money) so the police seized messages and emails between them. Someone must have sold it to a journo for a lot of money.

Can you share with us what you're looking at?

That's nothing. They plan to destroy the Kaaba (you know that big square black thing that thousands of Muslims pilgrims pray around each year) Don't even ask me to explain why because I honestly don't get it. This last Fitr Eid (it's the Muslim holiday at the end of the holy month of fasting, Ramadan) they prevented mosques from doing the Eid prayer (a very famous Muslim tradition). It's really not defending or making excuses for Islam when one says that ISIS are not Muslim.

Am I the only one who thought he had an excellent match?! Yes, someone should remind him that he can actually move when the ball is at his feet, but that did not take away one bit from the great shift he put in on Monday. He was the engine in the team that kept the game flowing at the tempo we wanted. His interchanging with Cesc was crucial to breaking down the Burnley defense as was his quick one-touch passing. I am almost certain he will start tomorrow.
-
I really doubt he's going anywhere unless he has for some reason requested a loan/transfer.

Haha. But being a millionaire famous footballer certainly does help. Peter Crouch was once asked: "If you weren't a footballer, what would you be?" To which he answered: "Probably a virgin!"

Actually, ISIS said that the current one has been distorted and are now writing their own Quran. I kid you not! http://www.14publications.com/blog/isis-want-to-change-quran/ http://www.pakistantv.tv/2014/08/04/daesh-isis-want-rewrite-quran/#sthash.YWwtySi2.dpbs

Can't believe I'm missing our first game at the bridge this season I expect the same XI that started against Burnley with Luis making a debut off the bench.

You mean the guy who has been for 3 years saying all the things he (and his father!) should not be saying or have you forgotten about that? On any account, that is NOT what he would have been coached to say. If any he was indeed coached he wouldn't have said that he wants him to stay; he would have been asked to not take any stance on the matter. something like: -He's fantastic player -I don't know/he hasn't spoken to me about his future -Either way I need to work hard in training to try to keep my place. "I want Petr to stay" and "I could learn a lot from him" are certainly not something he would have been coached to say.
-
I think he has to. With us playing 4-3-3 and Oscar and possibly even Willian being considered as CMs, he won't get many minutes on the pitch.
-
Then give an example of where they have distributed well from the back. Garry has a good shot on him but his passing is just about adequate for a CB, Iva is below that. JT is the exception, English CBs are not generally good passers, they're not used to playing from the back and Garry is the same. I would not have them as our main CBs for a prolonged period. PS: For someone who "hates being patronized", you sure try to do it yourself a lot!

Luckily, Thibaut disagrees with you: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2729432/Thibaut-Courtois-wants-nice-Petr-Cech-stay-Chelsea-despite-losing-No-1-spot-Blues-young-Belgian-goalkeeper.html

Anyone know what time is the PC today?

That's because he's on the cover:

It doesn't matter who was in the pivot (both Luiz and Ramires naturally drop to receive the ball). Swansea had the front two press our CBs and they had the first bank of four just behind them. Cahill and Iva simply don't have the ability to pick out the pivot players under pressure hence why they ended up hoofing it to no one in particular or play it back to the keeper who would himself do the same. And we created next to nothing in that match. We could have played another 90 minutes and not score.
