I get Sunderland or Southampton, but Atletico makes less than zero sense to me. He does not suite them whatsoever. Unless Simione is actively trying to destroy the team before he leaves which is definitely a possibility since he is looking more likely to actually sign Torres from Milan.
More like a back up to Vidal than Pirlo or Marchisio. Physically he is good, but he's not getting into the team ahead of Ramires, let alone Fabregas. But his best position for me is still at left wing back. Maybe if we sell Ramires in the summer that we might go for him, but other than that I highly doubt it.
Btw, this has not been mentioned, but the movement of the team, particularly in the first half, was simply out of this world. Probably the best so far this season.
Beats me, but if he couldn't get minutes when Ash, the only other LB in the team, fell out of favor with Jose, then he definitely should move on now that we've bought Luis and Azpi has established himself as one of the best LBs in the world.
Bertrand will be a huge miss for them. He's been one of their key players this season. Lucky for us because he's been a constant threat down the left wing (which is our usually weaker right side).
Brilliant finish, that. He just continues to impress. He really has been on of the key players of not the key player for Soton this year. Will be a big miss for them on Sunday and hopefully we can take advantage of that.
Forget Sky Nigeria. This is Ghana Football you're talking about! On a serious note, not good enough on the ball to play LW for us and not solid enough defensively to play LB. Not that we need or are looking to sign either. I'd say his agent is trying to get him a new contract but I think he still has like 3 or 4 more years on his current one. So this is looking like pure and utter bs.
Btw, our away fans completely out-sung the supposedly best atmosphere in the league at Stoke. The issue is obviously not limited to us. It's the whole league. I think it's something the FA should be looking into and not just individual clubs.
