Been injured for a long period. Just returned last match with sub appearance for a few minutes. Actually had a great game today, imo.

Alright, I can't hide it anymore I use Chelsea and Juve to cover up my true love and passion: Strawberry Town FC!
-
Best performance I've seen by Juve and Tevez in a long time.

It really wasn't more than 10 minutes. As I said, the few chances they got were from set pieces they won on the counter attack, and you can go back and check if you wish. An excellent season as in winning the league cup and the league. Of course there are issues and our current form is worrying, but all that does not even begin to justify the completely meltdown that has happened. I'm not saying to address them just to put things into context. Two years ago we were in the Europa League and struggling to make top 4 with Victor Moses and Fernando Torres as two of our key players. Yet some act like 6 points clear at the top instead of 8 is below Chelsea standards. Really, if anything, all the insults and disrespect to the players and manager are what are preventing genuinely discussing the issues. But honestly, the biggest issue I see right now, is the attitude of our spoiled drama-queens of fans.

I think it's about 50-50 that he leaves this summer. Still believe he'll most likely head to Madrid when he does, though.
-
Flopping? He still hasn't regained full fitness since that illness. We knew that, Jose mentioned it a few times.

Against a much weaker team with a lot less quality. Again we did NOT get dominated at home. They literally had 10 minutes where they managed to pin us back. We played badly but we were not humiliated in any way like Arsenal were when they lost 3-1 at home to Monaco. I know that it's 'in' right now to exaggerate in criticizing the team and the manager even though we've already won a trophy and are on track to completing an excellent season and winning back the league after 5 years, but seriously some are acting we should pack it up and just close the club down after a poor performance and elimination from Europe. And this was only highlighted yesterday with incredible double standards by football fans including our own and the blatant media hypocrisy when dealing with Arsenal's exit to a lesser team as compared to us. They employed insane tactics in the first leg and basically committed suicide and knocked themselves out of Europe, yet get portrayed as courageous fighters.
-
That's not very far from what I wrote, so how is that "shameful" or worse than losing 3-1 at home to Monaco?
-
I feel bad about our exit because we had it in our hands and couldn't see it out. If were that much worse than them in both games and still managed to only go out on away goals and through 2 late goals then we were doing at least something right in managing the game. PSG are an excellent side with a lot more quality than Monaco. And "completely dominated" is a huge exaggeration, imo. We played poorly and didn't press our advantage but PSG were not dominating. They had 10 minutes in the second half were they managed to press us back and keep the ball, but other than that they relied on set pieces they got from counters. You forget that we more than matched them in the first half in Paris and were on top in the first half at the bridge even before the sending off. We should be disappointed, but we have nothing too be ashamed of. It's not like we lost 3-1 at home to a team like Monaco!
-
That has to be up there with the worst penalty shoot-outs ever. Feel bad for Kiessling, though.
-
It matters in the discussion about the suggestion that was being made that we should feel more ashamed about our exit from the CL than Arsenal. Of course eventually it all means f*** all as we're both out of the competition. But people are acting like we should change the name of the club and move to another league because we went out on goal difference against a really good side while Arsenal are being portrayed as unlucky champions even though they got destroyed at home by a side, theoretically, much worse than themselves.
-
"Admirable effort" "Great character" "English spirit" They can probably change the names and scorelines and publish an old article from the past few years
-
I wasn't happy but I was by no means embarrassed, we were twice a few minutes away from going through. The majority of Arsenal fans I'm seeing right now are very far from proud. They remember that the reason that 2-0 away was not enough is that they got humiliated 3-1 at home to one of the worst remaining teams in the CL.
-
Tottenham played the CL quarterfinal in 2011 against Real Madrid. Arsenal haven't reached the quarterfinals since 2010.
-
We went out of the competition without losing a single match in it and to a much better team than Monaco.
-
So, apparently, Arsenal are "unlucky to go out due to the ridiculous away goal rule that needs changing" while we "deserved to get knocked out because we drew at home"! Do British pundits and journos even read/listen to what they write/say?!
-
Fact: Tottenham have reached the CL quarter finals more recently than Arsenal!
-
"Brave performance" "Showed a lot of heart" "Proud display" "Heads held high" "Courageous" "Won the hearts" ....Just had a vision of tomorrow's papers
-
Yeah, I remember because I watched that game. Was a superb performance by him.
-
Didn't he score against them earlier this season?
-
How is the discussion of the goal that eliminated us from the CL unnecessary?! Like I said on the previous page, I voted him MOTM but he was, at least partially, at fault for the second goal, imo. The discussion is pretty valid. Certainly much more than the discussion about the imaginary situation where a player decides to leave because our "style of football" is not worthy of him. Smh...

Our fans chanting "Chelsea" to the Liquidator on a loop? Just to keep you in the mood
-
Can we forget about the nonsense analysis of 'buying and selling' which obviously is not just Jose's call, and go back to the EPIC press conference? I mean:

As per usual, Pat Nevin is the only pundit in the media defending us:
