  1. as much as I'm fucking pissed off at city, you have to say, that was a great comeback by spuds.
  2. In most big matches we've had lately (Man United away comes to mind), Lampard has been an absolute passenger. He just disappears in so many matches where we've needed him that him and Ramires in pivot the would have been slaughtered even worse yesterday. Despite the fact that Mikel was fucking awful, it made more logical sense to have him on as he's usually better defensively. Now that obviously didn't happen, but I think that was more because of Mikel and his shithouse commitment than anything. Terry, for me is finished. He's still an absolute legend, don't get me wrong, but every time he's played lately his positioning has been poor and he's been caught out too many times (Rubin, Southampton, Newcastle away). I think, to be honest, that Luiz is definitely the best cb that we have. Maybe JT would have done a better job than Bran (who wouldn't have?), but to be honest, I think Terry would have had a mare yesterday had he started.
  3. I couldn't have put it any better. The amount of balls from their half that made it to either Aguero or Tevez was appalling - all because Mikel was positioning himself way too high up the pitch.
  4. Fuck right off. So many times he let City have acres of space to work with right in front of the back four, which is where their first goal and loads of other chances in the first half came from. Not to mention the one time that he's in possession with 2/3 people open to play it to and then he casually toepokes the ball right to Yaya. That evident lack of commitment (a reoccurring theme that we've seen all too often) is something that I just hate so much. He's clearly not good enough and doesn't show enough effort to wear a Chelsea shirt, so he can just fuck right off out of this club.
  5. Despite the fact that we lost, the game was pretty fantastic to watch from the first whistle to the last, even if the refereeing was fucking awful. Stonewall pen at the end and I don't even think that I have to get started on Künt. However, as we saw, we suffered from the same problems that we have suffered from the entire season. We looked awful in defense today, Luiz' positioning was torrid in the first half (which is why they scored) and Ramires and Mikel (especially) don't offer enough protection to the back four. What the fuck was Mikel doing? Utterly shambolic from him. His afternoon was summed up when he was in possession in the centre of the park with loads of space and a few players open... then he just lazily toepokes it and then it gets intercepted. I lost count of how many times Tevez or Aguero had miles of space to work with right in front of our back four (the zone that Mikel is supposed to be protecting). I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this summer we need to get our hands on a holding player who actually has an ounce of positional sense. Overall, it was kind of expected that we'd get outclassed (first half), so while I'm quite disappointed with the result, it was a very good attempt from the lads.
  6. He's been excellent lately, if he keeps this up he can easily become a top class centreback.
  7. The problem with Mikel is that technically, he's subpar, and while that was excusable for Makelele, at least Maka had his ineffable game sense to make up for that. Not only that, but Mikel has awful positioning, shows terrible effort at times, and has horrid lapses in concentration which is the complete opposite of what is required from a holding player. We need to get ourselves a proper holding midfielder during the summer if we are to mount a serious title race next season.
  8. What the fuck has happened to Moses after ACON? He's been complete crap.
  9. No one deserves to be named man of the match. The midfield was overrun repeatedly with yet another shit performance from Lampard. Yeah, it's nice when he scores, but more often than not nowadays, he goes missing. This is why I'm kind of glad that he's not getting a new contract. Mikel's positioning from the first whistle to the last was comical also. What the fuck was he thinking? Also, Terry was caught out all day long trying to make these ridiculous challenges that he seldom won, and him and Bran's defending was criminal on their first goal. Yet again, Bertrand shows that he's clearly not good enough for this club. Same goes for Marin. Overall, this was just a load of bollocks. We were lucky to have equalized and then they deservedly took the lead again. Sure, it's mind boggling as to why Hazard didn't start, but yet again, an effortless and soulless performance by every one of our players.
  10. Well that was just fucking horrible. Well played, Southampton.
  11. Yet again, Bertrand is showing that he's not good enough for this club.
  12. Blame rafa all you want for the dodgy team selection, but yet again, this starting XI is much more capable than this load of utter wank that we've seen so far.
  13. HT Fucking shambolic, it's another one of those games where no one appears to be arsed to get anything from the game. We're lucky not to be down by more to be honest
  14. Why the fuck is Mikel pressing so high up the pitch? Him and Lampard's lack of discipline is why we're getting overrun repeatedly in midfield.
  15. Get paid over 100,000 quid a week and you're not willing to take a free kick in the face? Fuck off Torres, you fucking shithouse twat.
  16. Fucking shambles so far, no more than we have deserved.
  17. By the way, Coleman was class, best player on the pitch by a country mile today.
  18. What a performance by Everton, that was massive. How shit were city though, Mancini will really be lucky if he has this job come next season.
  19. lol Milan are so shit. No passion, drive, or any creativity whatsoever.
  20. To be honest, he's pretty poor playing out wide as he neither has the pace nor determination for it. In order for him to be utilized the most effectively he HAS to take on a more central role.
  21. Awesome second half, Cole had kind of a shocker today though, he was our worst player by far. The defending from both our centre halves on their goals was atrocious but Luiz really stepped it up in the second half. This is type of result that we need to get back into the swing of things :cfc:
  22. Unless we magically pull something out of our arses, it will probably end 2-0 or 3-1 to United.
  23. Before injuries got to him, Bosingwa was actually pretty damn excellent. Sure, his defending was shady at times, but he really did offer a lot going down the right. Kezman, and Torres, and Crespo are the ones I can think of off the top of my head that stand out the most. Also, I know that Bogarde doesn't really count as he never saw the light of day, but he deserves a mention just for being a fat wanker.
