The problem with Salah so to speak is that he's great pushing the ball but when he required to play the intricate touch he's lacking. It doesn't mean he's horrible by any stretch but he not going to be the guy to make the 40 yard run then make the incisive pass or delicious skilled dribble to get 1 or 2 guys. His game works for industry and to create gaps from pace but his final 3rd work isn't good enough.

Trust me those injuries are caused by two things lack of stretching and fatigue. Even if Eden is doing Yoga and maintaining a perfect diet it's quite difficult to avoid those types of injuries when your body wears down. Notice that the hamstring injury and the calf injury occurred at the end of the year.

He's overused. The hamstring last year and calf injury this year are signs of overuse

I don't understand why a) anyone believes what a player says to the journos people are crucifying Lukaku for having ambition and confusing his ambition for arrogance/uncontrolled ego . He's a goal scorer wherever he goes. 30 goals in 60 games of which about 15 or so he was a sub. He's flawed but he's also got certain skills that very few strikers have. He's never going to be the most technical striker but he certainly has moments of technical brilliance intertwined with the first touch of an elephant so I can see why people get frustrated at times. However he's 20 years old. To sell him is pure folly IMO because he has gotten better while delivering lots of goals despite being so young. I don't see too many strikers if any with a better goal rate at his age and not too many overall are ahead of him.

I think one of the big points that isn't talked about here is Courtois presence and leadership. Belgian legend Paul Van Himst likened Courtois charisma and box presence to Lev Yashin

I'm not sure what people want Hazard to do. Yes, he needs to improve his finishing and yes he needs be more selfish, but he has the worst strike force of any CL team. Oscar has gone off the rails, and Willian has 3 goals and two assists for the year. Messi has Iniesta Neymar, etc. Ronaldo has Bale, Di Maria, etc. There's no way Hazard can compete with those two when they've 4-5 world class players and Hazard has zero.

Success because to me the key was demonstrating the path to becoming a top notch team which Mourinho has done. It's fairly clear he's done as much as he can with the current personnel but he needs better materials. That being said I think he's made some mistakes which likely will cost Chelsea the league title, but the margin for error was quite small.
