Look KDB isn't Hazard but bar Messi and Hazard very few players have those type of dribbling skills. However, KDB is still quite good in tight spaces so what Ribery is saying is complete rubbish. The point of difference is that KDB creates offense in creative forms. He's more of a Lampard type player.
-
Hate KDB on the wing. Prefer he and Eden to play free roles as dual CAMs in a 4-3-2-1 set up. They seem to work best when they are interchanging.
-
I think he's the hardest type of player to accurately gauge because his level varies so much even within the span of a match. He was poor v. Israel, but he does bring steel to the midfield.
-
Hazard's football legacy will continue to grow once he retires because people will constantly underrate him because he doesn't have massive stat totals. The reality is he's a generational type player. The pure magic of his dribbling, the flicks, and movement makes for must watch TV.

Need Preud'Homme to take over NT duties before all this talent is wasted.
-
Not if his training regimen is targeting Feb/Mar as to his peak point. I think another factor could be the weather tends to warmer.
-
My guess is that over the season he gets into game shape, not to say he gets fat in the off season but I do think he requires a lot of games to get in rythym.

1st Cap for Belgium 1st touch 1st goal

Vertonghen is a DLP playing CB/LB wish he'd move back to DLP DM/CM role as he's too casual at time with the ball and not athletic enough or fast enough to handle speedy fowards like Sterling

No reason for Tevez save to WUM United and City fans

Too much of a FIFA influence in judging players. Take Hazard away and Chelsea is battling for 4th place.

Good fucking lord there are some daft cunts in this thread. If you look back in this thread you can read my posts which heavily criticized selling DeBruyne and that he would be at one of the top clubs in 2-3 years. De Bruyne was better than Mata, Oscar etc when he got here and he's well beyond any of them right now and he'll continue to be. I have no clue why people cannot just admit that it was a mistake.
-
Why compare him to goal scorers Iniesta didn't have a lot of assists or goals. While Eden could certainly stand to be more selfish and aggressive, I think too many people don't understand that his strength is in playmaking and creating holes in the defense so that the team benefits. That's what makes him so valuable even when he's not scoring he's drawing 2-4 men and forcing defenses to set up in unnatural positions just to stop him which allows other players much more space and time.
-
Wolfsburg has a lot of talent on its team so it's a bit silly to be so dismissive. Chelsea could really use Rodriguez, KDB, Naldo, Vierinha to begin with and they have some other nice pieces. I'm not sure why people are in such denial about KDB. I understand questioning if he could be as successful at Chelsea, but out and out admonishment that because Mourinho said so reeks of blind loyalty and sheep mentality
-
Lel at Patrick Bamford he's been successful at the championship level which is about equivalent to being successful in the Polish league. He needs to move to the Belgian/Dutch league to see how he does then to France/Germany/Spain before the PL. Chances are he'll never crack the Chelsea line-up. I'm all for youth development but Messi would have no impact on that because by the time Bamford would be ready to lead the line Messi would be towards the end of his career
-
if Chelsea can get good money for Ramires they will sell. He's a good energy guy who can bring a gritty edge but he also at times is terribly rash and his ball skills range from excellent to shambolic and it's like a lottery knowing how well he'll be controlling the ball each time he plays. Hard to say how much will be spent but Chelsea needs a physical technically gifted CM who can play multiple roles. Not easy to get for cheap but there are pluggers who can do a hottest job because they know their job and don't try to do too much.
-
He's been great for Marseille as a third striker. He's extremely talented so if his head is screwed on right he's capable of big things. Had two goals yesterday for Marseille after coming on for Gignac at halftime. He has 6 goals in the last 5 league games for Marseille and he's only played 199 minutes during that time.
-
I also wonder of Bale is the right type of footballer. Hazard needs someone on the right wing who can bring some different qualities but also have a similar imagination with 1-2 plays and flicks. While Bale would bring a different dimension his game seems more suited in a more direct style whereas the ideal RW can create off the dribble in tight spaces.

Felt like a smash and grab if there can be such a thing for a 3-2 win
-
Lots of options in the midfield. Just a matter of making the money work. Nainggolan would be a good relatively cheap rotation player at CM
-
The difference is that at Madrid and Barcelona the players replacing Callejon and Alexis were as good or better. At Chelsea this team appears seriously deficient at the 10 and with crosses long balls into the box and midfield scoring. De Bruyne provides Pirloesque long range passing with Lampard like midfield finishing. He's excellent on the counter attack.
