  1. I don't know why but I see Lampard as being a key man in this whole thing. You guys remember his body language after he was subbed a couple of times this season? At first we just shrugged it off as him being unhappy with his own performances, but after seeing how he acted against Everton, it's possible that things have escalated and it just strikes me that he's the most unhappy in our squad atm. And I'm just making a general comment, I'm not "turning on" Lamps. Maybe the Everton game was a one-off. I'm very interested to see how he performs now. Oh yeah, you're right. But it's just one line: "Villas-Boas has also clashed with Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba" not very conclusive
  2. The players should get blasted by the media. What a disgraceful lot. Instead they keep running stories on how AVB is "on borrowed time" blah blah. If they're really so 'in the know', then they should name names.
  3. Yeah I didn't realize it until I saw "future news" in the URL
  4. Absolutely, watching that video was like a breath of fresh air after the shit we've been seeing from our midfielders for 18 months now.
  5. Please, this is far worse than the shevchenko situation. Sheva's goals to game ratio wasnt actually that bad. And he always put in 100% effort in every single game and didn't moan at all, unlike this guy. Yes he didn't manage to settle and show what he can really do, but overall he still left with a positive impression on the fans because of his attitude. Its actually an insult to compare Shevchenko to this guy.
  6. Haven't there been strong rumours that they are interested in him?
  7. Don't know whether to take it seriously, but if it's true then wow these players are ridiculous. Cannot wait for most of them to leave. Jesus.
  8. But if Bale himself wants to leave then they can't stop him. Can see him getting tempted if Barca table an official offer
  9. I am getting your point, but imo that 2nd position is very misleading. We were shit for the entire season apart from the first few weeks and the two months in March and April. Also, Spurs, Arsenal and Newcastle weren't as good and City also weren't as good. If you had replaced the Spurs, Arsenal, Newcastle and City teams from this season into last season, we wouldn't have been 2nd.
  10. What do you mean? Are you referring to their supposed market values?
  11. Like DDA_Drogstar said, Lukaku should start instead of Torres. What's the point in playing Torres? It's not as if he's going to score. Lukaku will get some valuable game-time and experience and he might actually score.
  12. If Bale leaves, they'll receive at least 35 million for him which they could use on Hazard
  13. Please close this thread now. Jesus....
  14. Hmm I know youtube videos can be deceiving but he doesn't look too bad in that video. But I agree DM isn't his best position. He doesn't have the strength for that position at the moment. He should be played behind the striker(s).
  15. Hope he does well. It would be good to have him back at the club next season as a squad player.
  16. At least it'll be good to have him on the bench. He's 100 times more effective as a substitute than Malouda.
  17. Since we're talking about the rebuilding process.... As it's been mentioned, we can't get rid of them all in one go, but we can get rid of the ones with the most player power i.e. Drogba & Malouda. And tell Lampard that he's a second-string player now and if he's not happy about it, he can leave. IF the board are actually smart about it, there will be plenty of players available on a free or for 10-15 million. We don't need superstar signings for every position. The things that Andre said in the press conference near the end of the January transfer window... about the real business happening in the summer... makes me optimistic that there'll be some proper rebuilding done. We need to sign one striker, two winger, one creative midfielder, and one right-back and get rid of Torres, Drogba, Malouda, Bosingwa. Those positions should be our biggest priorities. Play Bertrand at LB at least as many games as Cole. We should try Sturridge up top towards the end of this season, to see if he can handle it on a long-term basis at least. If he can, then we only need to sign one striker and assign Sturridge as a CF next season. If not, we need two strikers. Our midfield would consist of: Essien, Mikel, Romeu, Ramires, Lampard, Meireles, *New Midfielder* and possibly McEachran. That's still not enough quality there but one quality creative midfielder could help tremendously. Defense: *New RB*, Ivanovic, JT, Luiz, Cahill, Betrand, Cole which is okay I think. We need a top-class centreback for the future but it isn't an immediate priority imo Attack: Mata, Sturridge, *new winger*, *new striker*, *new winger/striker*, Lukaku - this depends on how we conduct our business and the type of players that we get. We can't expect superstars because they will cost too much. Maybe we'll be able to get Hazard if he wants to join us. So AVB will have to look to hungry & quality players.
  18. He has admitted that he called Evra a "negrito" numerous times. And everyone connected with Liverpool are trying to claim that just because apparently it isn't a racist term in Uruguay, it's okay for him to say that.
  19. This is all a result of the propaganda that Liverpool Football Club spread about themselves. They've all ingrained this mantra of "My club, right or wrong" in the brains of the fans for years. That's why even when a simple statement is made by someone representing LFC, the fans will all immediately believe it. The way they threw Torres under the bus after he handed in a transfer request - just to hide the fact that he wanted to leave a shit club because he wasn't happy they weren't doing the things they had promised him - is the best example. They did it not because they were pissed off at him but because they were embarrassed at their actions and didn't want their fans to know. So what happened? The fans didn't focus on that fact at all. All they could see and think about was JUDAS JUDAS JUDAS. If they hadn't released those statements and had simply let it go, thanked him for his service blah blah the fans wouldn't have had such hatred about the transfer. Same thing regarding the Suarez issue. The moment Dalglish came out and defended him so vehemently and stupidly and those players came out with Suarez shirts on, the fans were brainwashed. If they had said "no comment" and/or publicly accepted the decision and accepted that what he did was wrong, the fans would have criticized Suarez instead of defending him in this disgusting manner.
  20. His lack of body strength together plus the fact that he hasn't had any decent regular football (thanks to the crap that is reserve league football) has contributed to that factor. He really should have hit the weights last season and in the summer before this season started
  21. Yeah agreed. Drogba, Malouda and co. seem to have too much power and influence in the team & dressing room. Basically a squad overhaul is needed not only to replace old players with new, hungrier players but also to get rid of the player power that exists in the squad. All of our new signings (Luiz, Ramires, Mata, Lukaku, Romeu, Sturridge) are not part of that yet and we need to keep it that way.
