We were the better side in terms of having possession. What did we do with that possession? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. That goal came out of NOTHING. We just passed passed passed without ever creating a single good chance that wasn't a long distance shot or from a set piece. They looked FAR MORE threatening when they had possession even in the 1st half. Every time they got the ball, you genuinely felt as if they could score. With us, nope.

Webb was just atrocious. Pretty much every single decision he made yesterday was wrong. For both teams. We got our fair share of luck too but Utd's second penalty?!?! Are you fucking kidding me??? Our midfield is so utterly dreadful. I'm so glad that Ess is back because he was superb yesterday. Gave everything he had even though after the 60th or so minute he had barely anything left in his tank. What a player. Our tactics yesterday were much better. With Mata in the hole more often and having Ess back certainly helped a great deal. But our execution and final ball is so piss poor!! We had so much of the possession in the first half but couldn't do a single thing with it. I'm done with Torres. He had a decent game overall but that chance he had. Dear lord. Get the fuck out. Can't wait to see him leave. Sorry mate, didn't work for you here. Never going to work. Good luck elsewhere. And seriously guys, don't let the 3-0 lead fool you. We were nowhere near as good as Utd, let alone good enough to have a 3-0 lead. It just happened to turn out that way and fair play to the players (read: Mata, who is a genius) to achieve that lead but we were average from the 1st minute to the 94th. Of course, not having Lampard, Ramires, JT and Cole who are/have been our most important players + leaders on the pitch showed. Well done to Cahill. Very solid debut for him. Tremendous pressure he must have been under against the pacy & intelligent Rooney, Welbeck and co. He did make a couple of mistakes but overall a very very good performance by him. Finally, Mata is amazing. He is a stunning, unbelievable, unreal, majestic little GEM. He doesn't deserve to be playing in such a poor, poor team. I hope we can keep him even if we don't get CL football this season - which I'd say is pretty likely IMO. We need to build our team around HIM.

Plenty of pressure on him today after comments in the media by little penis and AVB as well. This has to be his absolute last chance to prove himself before he is dropped and lukaku and/or Sturridge are moved to CF. I wouldn't play him today anyway but can't see lukaku playing. You better wake up, Fernando.

Same here! And to make things worse, I'm having a cold so I took meds last night which caused insomnia and I didn't manage to sleep until 7am this morning argh
-
Right. Didn't think about the situation outside the stadium as well. Think it'll probably be postponed
-
Peace as well
-
Looks pretty bad atm. But if it stops snowing by tomorrow morning, they'll be able to clear the pitch in time, right?
-
Doing pretty ok. Won my last 5
-
Luiz, definitely. He was probably the only one that played well & with any heart.
-
How so? I can't get the streams to work

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

Could the FA have charged him if he was a bit more aggressive in his criticism? Also, the media would have gone crazy if he did that. -
Yep, AVB said that in the press conference
-
Yeah true but performance wise there's no way he can be worse than our #9. I don't see Torres doing anything at all on Sunday.
-
Devastated that JT is out. He always puts in beastly performances after being vilified by the media.
-
No, you don't get it. We're (or at least I'm) not saying all this "fuck the FA" stuff because he was stripped of the captaincy. It's because they did it without a verdict actually being given to him. They are free to do it if and when he is proven guilty and I won't blame them at all. But it is wrong for them to do it now imo
-
The way they all revere Gerrard & Rooney - both of whom are c*nts - and abuse Terry, Lampard and Cole sickens me. JT should have retired after they stripped him of the captaincy the first time, after the Bridge affair. This one, I can still understand BUT ONLY AFTER HE IS PROVEN GUILTY. To have stripped him of the captaincy after the alleged affair was ridiculous. Especially ridiculous when they chose to take the armband away from him and give it to a DRUG ADDICT FUCK THE FA
-
He should just announce his retirement from England. The way the likes of Terry, Cole and even Lampard have been abused by the majority of England fans is disgraceful and I just wish that they would just tell them all to fuck off and retire. Won't happen, I know.
-
WTF are you talking about? Can you stop posting basically the same thing in every single thread
-
Me too. It was sickening to see us follow that up with the 3 consecutive draws which meant that the win was for nothing
-
Absolutely. This is why I am so worried. Because the team simply does not have the motivation anymore when we play the "smaller" teams. We can't take the game by the scruff of the neck.
-
I definitely do not want Andre to get the sack anytime soon, but I am genuinely worried about our chances of getting CL football next season. We are only 5 and 4 points ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool respectively. A defeat on Sunday would mean that goes down even further. Liverpool are capable of beating the bigger teams. They're always up for those games. If they manage to get someone scoring regularly then they'll be able to turn those draws into wins because their defense is superb and they can count on only having to score one or two goals max to win a game. We should be able to get fourth, but our recent performances and lack of desire make me very worried indeed.

He has been surprisingly fair and unbiased ever since he became a pundit & commentator. He says the occasional daft thing but by and large I've been pleasantly surprised by the way he's acted.
-
Okay then I completely agree with that part and in general with your post. I was optimistic at the start of the season that he would be able to become a 15 goal a season striker (I was sure that he would never be able to reach the heights he did at Liverpool) but that's completely gone now too. I can't wait to see him gone. I'm 100% sure he will be sold in the summer. Hopefully Drogba will be gone too and our board will replace them with a young, hungry striker.
