I don't think he should play against Liverpool. ESPECIALLY at Anfield. He'll get extraordinary abuse every time he even touches the ball. And we know how fragile his confidence is.

I wouldn't mind keeping him for one more year, since we need to get quite a lot of players in during this summer window, so it wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. But if some team offers 7+ million, need to definitely take it.

I've checked that site out a few times and it's bonkers!!! Not very accurate at all I don't think he's that well known though. I mean obviously they'll know who he is but I doubt there'll be that much revenue made from kit sales etc. Would Lyon be interested? Perhaps we could get 10-15m from a French club. Seriously though he's had 3 awful injuries, he's already in his "prime" and is an average, probably mid-table PL standard player at the moment. I think he's lost a lot of passion for the game as well. Can't blame him. It's such a shame. If not for the injuries he could/would have been the best in the world for that position. He needs to go imo. Too high wages, too "big" a name to keep around when the return we get is not good enough.

Don't know about that. QPR were godawful yesterday yet he was still really poor and lost out many times. Hes probably on 80-90k wages and I think we could get about 5m at least for him if we sell him to a French club. He's already 29 if I remember correctly. Honestly cant afford to keep a past-it Essien earning 90k a week at this club for a long time. If its just for next season then I wouldn't mind though.

Perhaps Torres instead of Kalou? Do you think he can be trusted with doing the tracking back? He's certainly more competent than Kalou going forward (but then again, who isn't?)

Personally I'd rather play Malouda than Essien. Don't want to see Essien anywhere near the starting XI. He's absolutely finished. Would be a complete disaster to play him.
