I know there's a logic in selling good players when the 'right' offer comes along, or to keep them moving so as to have a transition of players constantly, but the only (still) quality and established players in our team right now are: Cech, Ivanovic, JT, Cahill, Luiz, Cole, Ramires, Lampard, Mikel, Drogba, Torres Add to that adequate squad players: Meireles, Kalou, Bertrand, and..... That's about it. That's really shockingly low. Not forgetting that FOUR of the eleven are 32+ and have little to no selling value even if we wanted to cash in. We need to bring more quality and/or established players IN first before we start letting them go. Understandably if there's a good offer for Bran (by good I mean at least 20m and a swap) we should think about it but I still wouldn't sell because our squad is depleted enough as it is.

I agree that if RDM had been our manager from the start of the season, we would be in the top 4. I didn't mean that he's a crap manager or anything like that. I just meant that tactically, he hasn't shown anything extraordinary so far. This is not completely his fault of course, as our squad depth is pretty much non-existent. If the first team (by which I mean the few quality players that can still perform) doesn't play, the remaining players are either past it (Malouda, Essien and co) or not good enough to impact games (Kalou, etc) I should reiterate that I'm not saying that he should definitely not be our manager, or that he's not good enough. For me, the problem is simply that the evidence we have so far is not really meaningful since: 1) Some players know their time is up and sensed that the CL is there to be won as a last hurrah and 2) Some players wanted to prove the media stories about them getting managers sacked were wrong so initial results (Birmingham, Napoli) were positive and then we just went on a roll The Barcelona result was good tactics but at the same time when we were drawn together, you could just sense the lift in both the fans and players' attitudes about the competition. If the fans were so excited about it, can you imagine how pumped up the likes of Drogba, Terry, Lampard, Cole and co. must have been? Anyway, I would like for him to be given a 1 year contract, I think he deserves that. I'm just not getting carried away like some people. Just my opinion!

The players are simply not interested in the PL. They can't motivate themselves for it. We're blaming managers for not motivating them, but a lot of the blame lies with their own inability to perform at 100%. This good run under RDM is only because initially, the players wanted to prove people wrong about the AVB stories (they got him sacked etc) and then when the Barca draw was made................ So lets not get carried away with all these "RDM has saved our season" stories because yes, he has done a really good job and in terms of man-management it's probably how AVB should have started off, but these results technically have very little to do with him.

I think the 't' at the end of Thibaut is silent. I've been pronouncing it as Thee-bow. Could be wrong though.

I think it was Alex who said this here quite some time back: Us and City signed the wrong players. We should have signed Dzeko and they should have signed Torres. Would have worked out much better.

Agree, out of all the players I've seen in the FAYC games this season I was impressed with him the most funnily enough. But it's riiduclous to be judging these players right now when all they're playing is reserve/youth football. The standard is so, so, so unbelievably low. It's probably worse than League 2 football. They don't play consistently at all. They have potential but lets not hype them up until we actually see them in action for a first-team

I'm quite sure that he'll be sold actually. RDM has left him out of every single big game since the Man City disgrace. He doesn't even come on as a substitute anymore, which is even more embarrassing. Shows that he provides absolutely nothing.
