Drogba is portrayed as the 'savior' etc etc and rightfully so but the media have forgotten about Cech's saves, Cole's goal-line clearances, and so on which also got us there

It was! It's been mentioned a few pages back but someone really should make a compilation of all his saves in the Champions League this season. He made some absolute stunners in every single game. Even in the Benfica away leg when in the 2nd half for about 15 minutes they were attacking us with wave after wave his composure got us through it. Legend.

Was holidaying in Australia! Just got back home three hours ago. Immediately switched on the computer and started downloading all the Champions League final footage

Is this 100% confirmed? I almost started dancing when I read the Sky headline but the club hasn't confirmed it yet so I don't want to celebrate prematurely. He's a really, really, really awful right-back. He doesn't even get forward that well. He has loads of pace but he either ends up giving the ball away due to his stupidity or puts in a dreadful cross. It's really curious why he does so well when playing at CB or even LB. I think he'll be fine for another year but we need to get a proper RB in. Lets not forget that John is most likely going to get a 10-15 game ban beginning next season! If either one of Cahill or Luiz get injured then we'll be in trouble again and will have to scramble Cahill & Luiz (especially Gary) will learn loads from JT as well in terms of organization, etc which they currently lack.

Just got back from Australia!!! Had the best time ever! Parasailing, jet skiing, jet boating, kangaroos, koalas, unbelievable theme parks... fuck yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so high on adrenalin right now even after 10 hours ++ of travelling Can't believe we won the CL!!!! Watched the match in the hotel room and it was just amazing. I think it was Spike who mentioned that it's brilliant to watch CL matches in Australia because the matches start when it's completely dark, the sun's about to rise at half-time, and by full-time it's bright. It was just glorious. I screamed and jumped around my room when Didier scored the winning penalty, waking my mother up Best 8 days of my life!!! How do you know that? No one knows jack squat about what his plans were. And come on now. City just won the title and are looking to build a 'dynasty'. If they can guarantee him first-team football, then why shouldn't he go there?

You can't really compare those fans to us because City are our direct rivals. Liverpool first of all, hate Utd more than anything in the world so obviously they're going to be happy. I read some guy comment that he felt happier than Istanbul. Just how fucking sad is that?! Secondly, they are nowhere near competing for top 4, let alone the title so it doesn't affect them as much. Barca fans hate Utd probably so City winning = them happy I guess Smaller clubs like Fulham have nothing to do with this argument, plus they might have some bias against Chelsea so they'll be delighted to see another team with money do well. Also just because people are angry about the fact that they won the title doesn't mean they are not congratulatory. Anyway it's done. We need to find a way to become more competitive.

While the price might be high, I'd still be happy to sign him. We're really in desperate need of someone who can take players on, make things happen. He's got pace & power. Hazard is most definitely off to City. There are other interesting players available but they'd cost upwards of 20m as well. We've all said that we need one "marquee" signing this summer along with other Marin types to replenish the squad depth. Would be delighted with Hulk.
