  1. Yeah both of them are too passive on the touchline. At least Lampard sounded more interesting when he spoke. And he did get into a fight with Klopps team. That's not the hallmark of a great manager, but at least it shows some character. I also don't know if there's any language barriers coming into play. Is Potters squad entirely English? Does he himself speak multiple languages? EDIT: Looks like he has Bruno Saltor who is Spanish and Bjorn Hamburg from Sweden so there is diversity there. And plus, he's already coached teams like Brighton which were plenty diverse so no issues there. It's probably just the difference in player egos.
  2. The only reason I can think of for having Felix instead, is that might have been part of the agreement when we signed him. That he would be selected for the CL.
  3. Koulibaly is going to start against Dortmund isn't he? 🤣
  4. We've always done better with coaches with more personality - before Mourinho, there were Vialli, Gullit and Ranieri. I would argue that even Hiddink showed more personality. Struggling to think of any coach that we've had in the past 3 decades who is comparable to Potter.
  5. Arsenal fans already getting paranoid about 'Agent' Jorginho.
  6. He won't come. After all the things he has publicly said, he would be a massive hypocrite to come here. And I don't think he will change his principles. No way will he come to Chelsea right after leaving Liverpool.
  7. Of course. Potter is prepared to send away the only decent striking option away on loan. Not going to lie though, he probably needs a season away to score against weaker teams and build up his reputation and experience. And this was recommended by Drogba too, I think. Would suck for us because we have no good backup, but could be good for Fofana, if he gets the minutes
  8. Maybe it was just the 'cold' but he looked very unhappy in the first 45. Not able to do give and go's, never in a position to utilize his pace. Not sure what instructions he received. No idea what we did in the past two weeks to suck the life out of a player that had a stellar debut.
  9. I think it became worse no doubt, but he apparently had a poor conversion rate even before he arrived (despite his good goal record).
  10. I have a feeling he left out Badiashile because he's a 'good, young lad' who wouldn't throw a fuss unlike the higher profile players or their fans. Probably told him that his chance would come again. Felix is good, but he's still a loan player FFS. We're loaded with squad depth in the attacking positions, and he goes and does this. It's almost like he and his asst. manager scoured through youtube to check mainstream opinions in order to decide who to pick.
  11. The fact that Potter dropped Badiashile when him and Silva are the best thing about us in the past 3 games shows you what he knows. What's the point of a CL push without a working defence.
  12. Just the way he handled the Ziyech situation tells me he is not ready to handle big egos. Granted, Ziyech's transfer getting screwed up was not his fault. But if you were prepared to let him go out on loan, how does he come back straight into your starting 11? Are you trying to make peace? You don't have to suck up to a player to get him back on your side. Especially if he's "a professional" like you claimed.
  13. Genius tactics from the manager. Compare that to this:
  14. You might be adding our new signings to that list as well in some time if we continue playing this turgid football. Yes Tuchel was playing some turgid football towards the end, but Potter seems to be making it worse. There was nothing to note about our play in that game. Just nothing.
  15. I will give him another chance for when Felix returns and we go back to a more presentable midfield. But if we still see the same turgid football - then no. And screw the comparisons with Arteta. Arteta might be doing a stage impression of Pep in the dressing room, but he displays more character than what Potter has shown so far. Its the sort of stuff you need when bringing together a group of big talents. Mudryk look super bored in that first half.
  16. And as part of a genius move - We have dropped Badiashile from the CL squad. I would ALWAYS sacrifice an attacking player for a healthy defense. The one thing Potter has got working right and he gets rid of it, first chance. Genius.
  17. No, at least I hope not. To me, 3 games is a lengthy ban in itself.,lol. We don't even have any domestic cup games in between to soften the blow.
  18. All the media outlets are gleefully reporting this to garner more attention. Already comments about upset online communities, etc. Am anticipating a lengthy ban from the FA.
  19. Equally ridiculous considering this video is many months old and already taken down for right reasons. Stupidity would be bringing more attention to something that shouldn't warrant any.
  20. Now after that transfer window, onto the neighbors...
  21. Indeed. I'll also hold my hand up and say I doubted them at one stage, especially after the last round with Benefica. But boy, have they done right and more than just right. Kudos to the members who kept the faith. Looking at @Superblue @YorkshireBlue especially
  22. I think the difference in Mount's form this season is more than just his padded stats. There was a time when him not being in the team made a big difference, leading to Tuchel making him a guaranteed starter. And it's not like he hasn't delivered against big teams, ever. But let's agree to disagree. He's in terrible form right now and that we can all agree on. It's on him to fix that. I'm still not sure about Gallagher., as I don't know if his technical limitations can be fixed. But I agree he can be a decent squad player. I just don't think he is anyway better than Mount.
