  1. Must be super frustrating for him to see his team constantly muck things up. He's there every game. Literally can't buy a win at this point.
  2. Agreed. Definitely an improvement over the last game., but I felt even that last game performance was more down to the tactics we used against Fulham. You have to also remember that he hasn't played football in a while, so these games are a bit of a pre-season for him. The other thing people need to realize is that he's not a ball carrier like Hazard. His style is more of quick pass and move.
  3. Knowing Mourinho and how he's obsessed with our transfer activity, he's probably already planned his starting 11 and squad players.
  4. Mourinho Mk III No one wants it. But it's coming.
  5. Also, fuck you Emerson. Nothing against the guy personally, but he annoyed me as a player when he was here and of course he turns up here. Gallagher also quickly going into that 'annoying' category for me.
  6. Poch is too much of a 'nearly man' for me. Yes he might be better than Potter, but the problem is that 'nearly men' will tend to linger longer than they should, without accomplishing anything.
  7. Stems from Potter himself I'm afraid. I keep hoping he turns things around, but when he throws words around like 'Oh this team needs time to gel", he's basically giving excuses for his team to sit back. Did anyone look like they wanted to win that game in the last 15 mins?
  8. Stupid Gallagher came on and killed whatever momentum we had in the match. Potter did the right thing by starting RLC ahead of him., but ruined it by bringing on Gallagher who set us back. Should have brought Fofana on instead. Match ruined by subs and by the inept officials.
  9. Blame lies with Potter too., but at least it looks like he tried to get them to correct it.
  10. I would defo pick RLC over Gallagher though. Better discipline in terms of positioning, and can actually hold on to the ball under pressure., unlike Gallagher who chases the ball even when he has it.
  11. Am I wrong in saying that one of the best things to look forward to in this match is the Badiashile - Silva combo, and whether they can keep a 4th consecutive clean sheet?
  12. I think his point is, even when Arteta was shit (or at least his team was) Arteta parked the bus to at least keep clean sheets. While I'm skeptical about Potter turning it around any time soon, he has at least started to achieve that, and with a back four defense no less. And 3 consecutive clean sheets. The one stupid thing he did though was leave Badiashile out of the CL tournament (only forgiven if we were forced to play Felix in that tournament) .
  13. Whatever happens, they should not be stripped off previous titles or accolades. That just leaves a bad taste in the mouths of the fans, and plus - it also takes away the achievements from some of the great players and managers who have represented City. I don't think those guys should be punished for that. This isn't like Juve who were involved in actual match fixing.
  14. I don't mind other clubs winning, but I'm not going to pretend to take joy in Arsenal or Spurs winning. These clubs and their fans have constantly thumbed their noses at Chelsea in the past and mock its achievements. And to the contrary., I'm not bothered too much by Chelsea having a poor season. We are really a spoiled bunch as Chelsea fans. How many other clubs can spend their way back to a decent position? Chelsea has gone through boom and bust before, and usually comes back in a position of strength.
  15. And for what, I don't know What has he shown that's warranted an extension? I'd pick RLC over him as a squad player.
  16. Phew. I'll admit the move might have been good for him, but it would have been bad for us. I'll still maintain what I said when we signed him. He still remains my most exciting signing of the Boehly era. There's so much raw potential here., making him an unfinished product. No one knows his ceiling and that's what excites me.
  17. Not sure tbh, I haven't followed his football with Spain.
  18. Tottenham hotspurs , aka Arsenals lapdog. Useless team only exists to muck things up and do bottle jobs.
  19. I'm also not too thrilled about him either. There's also a question about how he'll handle our youth players. Youth players are always the ones who suffer when there's a manager merry go-round. That's the main reason why I still want Potter to somehow turn it around., even if it seems beyond him at this point. You can only hope that Potter is being assertive with the squad behind the scenes, because he looks like a timid rabbit otherwise.
  20. While the club shouldn't cave into Mount's demands, I hope the club doesn't make any snap judgements with regards to his future. In this season when nearly every attacking player is underperforming, I refuse to single out Mount or even Havertz as the root cause. If it's a question of offloading players to clear up the wage bill, there are plenty of wingers to choose from. Now apparently there is talk of Gallagher being offered a renewal. Doesn't look good for Mount., because mediocre Gallagher is his real competition at the moment. Gallagher is hopeless on the ball, but because he shows 'heart' and is content being a squad player, he will get preference.
  21. Next week Potter will have Felix back and should be able to field a more presentable midfield 3. If he can't get us going after that, that's probably it for him.
  22. Agreed - his performance was the worst (far worse than oft maligned Mount , in fact) But while some of the blame is on him, I feel a big portion of the blame lay in the tactical setup. Its clear he isn't like Hazard who looks to hold on to the ball to try and create space for other players. He's more of a player who favors quick pass and move football, and if the surrounding players are not complementing his play - then he's pretty much out of it. The other option would have been to make use of his blistering pace by freeing him up - again, nothing done by the team to release him in threatening positions. You had both Mount and Gallagher pushing far up the pitch taking up space that could have been used.
  23. If Kovacic isn't fit, I'd rather see RLC in midfield than Gallagher. RLC at least has better discipline in terms of positioning, and also better ability to shield the ball.
  24. Can't believe that we used to mock Kalou once upon a time. If we had Kalou today he would be a guaranteed starter. 100% a better finisher than what we have right now.
