  1. Yes, he needs to be more clinical. I'd easily pick Felix over Mount today - but I don't think we should bend over backwards to get him, unless he actually delivers this season. And I mean, not just by looking easy on the eye. He's looked great during games and unlucky not to score in the past few., but I wouldn't call those consistent 8/10 performances. He has been absent in stages. Then there are the tangible numbers. Comparing last seasons stats in all comp; MM: 13 goals 16 assists JF: 10 goals 6 assists Anyway, seeing how rubbish Mount is playing atm, it's probably a no brainer. I just hope we don't see Felix as the ultimate solution., and pay silly money to get him.
  2. I'd prefer it if the manager knew what he was doing, rather than react to what the press thinks. If the reason he's now not playing is because Potter made him look like shit, then that's a bad precedent. Is he going to shoehorn other players into his system and destroy their confidence and form, only to shrug afterwards and say, 'hey, I tried!' ? It suppose it's justified if all other aspects of his system were working fine, but his team is a mess at the moment., and can't do much right.
  3. Yep, big inquest for United after they shipped those 6 goals. Their players seemed to give up after going 2 down. Lack of tracking back, nothing. Will be interesting to see how they respond in their next match. A one off defeat can happen anytime. Even we had an embarrassing one against West Brom, under Tuchel. And that was at home.
  4. Not absolving him of any blame., - I'm just saying that he's also let down by Potters system. Also, it's a bit weird. After the good cameo against Liverpool, Potter made him start several matches back to back, despite saying he needs to brought up to speed gradually, because he hasn't played in a while. Now that he's flopped, Potter has relegated him to the bench. Just like he did with Fofana. It brings me back to a comment I made earlier. Potter just throws shit at the wall to see what sticks.
  5. Against Liverpool, we played a team that offered a lot of space behind their back line. We could easily play passes for Mudryk to exploit during that game. Against most PL teams, we lack the quick thinking player that has vision and can execute a pass. That coupled with whatever style Potter is trying to implement, has crippled the player.
  6. Honestly, despite the win, I think the follow up matches are when Potter is going to be under real scrutiny from management. By the law of averages, a win was always coming (whether it was through a formation change, or awful opposition, or both as in today's match). The question is now whether he and the team can use this win as a springboard and kick on. Or whether they will revert to type., and start a new new winless streak.
  7. By that token, even their rigged FA Cup final win against us was also well deserved. I'm sure all the 'neutrals' were cheering for Arsenal when Arteta won his first trophy
  8. FA trying to revive the United Arsenal glory days. And tbh, if not City, I'd prefer United to win.
  9. I don't mind Arteta winning. But Arsenal? Hell no.
  10. Pleased for 3 points, but boy was it a shitshow after the goal. To be fair, going defensive was the only option for Potter because he knows his team is useless in open play. A hard fought 1-0 against 17 th placed Leeds.
  11. It looks almost like Chilwell missed on purpose, lol
  12. Tired with the managerial gambles. Ruben Amorim looks interesting, but Thomas Frank? Managers with next to no reputation find it easier in clubs where the players have little achievements to their name. Our players are not like Terry or Drogba, but at least have a CL under and CWC under their belt. If we do get another unproven manager, we should bring in someone like JT in as assistant. Just to lay down the law. In fact, am surprised Potter never looked at bringing JT into his fold. Might have helped him a long way.
  13. What annoyed me the most, more than the results, is his insistence on being compared to Arteta and Klopp:
  14. On a lighter note, this is exactly how it's been for the past several months
  15. Saw this posted. I know we had the international break in between, but this is staggering.
  16. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the latter. Let's face it. If it hasn't happened now, then it's not happening unless something drastic happens, i.e. we actually end up in the relegation zone. And by law of averages, we are likely to get a win in one of the coming 3 games. Even miserable Southampton got a win. All it takes is a clean sheet (which I think his teams can manage) and a random Havertz goal. And that's what will convince the owners to persist with Potter for several more games.
  17. Just baffling. A club that finished top 4 needs to look at a midtable club to learn how to get into top 4.
  18. Hats off to Potter for negotiating that. Maybe he's a mastermind after all.
  19. If we're going down that route, might as well bring in Emma Hayes as coach
  20. It's possible that Boehly & Co. are thinking that a single win will get us going., and are just patiently waiting for that. I guess they never imagined that they'd have to wait this long.
  21. All his press conferences somehow showcase some form of self-pity. This time he at least accepted full responsibility for the loss, but then he goes on to bring up comparisons with Arteta and Klopp (and not the first time. He started when we faced Arsenal this season). Instead of spurring the team on, and saying that they need to be a lot better than they are, he moans about how difficult the situation is with injuries and new transfers, and how tough the 'moment' is. Some of these are true, but why adopt a defeatist attitude? No wonder his team are in the bottom of the form table. He's probably sucked the confidence out of the players. He's basically kicking the can down the road., and the worst part is - I'm not sure he could improve the situation even if he tried.
  22. Based on the form in last 5 games, we ARE the worst team in the league. Only team besides Palace without a win, and even they have one less defeat compared to us.
  23. At the 7:01 mark he starts comparing himself to Arteta. Come on. That comparison is for others to make. Not Potter himself. If you start using that excuse yourself and hide behind it, how can it NOT go wrong?
