Would have been the ultimate insult if Newcastle had taken the lead after that VAR farce.
-
Another northern side being favored by the VAR. Great. There's 4 of them to contend with next season.
-
First Chelsea game I've chosen to watch live in ages (mainly because it's the last one for a while) Glad I chose the right one. They're at least giving a fight I haven't seen all season. At least finish the season with decency
-
It's done now. Let's just hope his second season act is far better.
-
Come on. Let's get this fixture over with and say goodbye to this shitty season.
-
Another loan would be fine, but I hope we don't pay over the odds to transfer Still not convinced that he is a player that can actually deliver the goods, and isn't just all about style. In the biggest moment of our season and his, in the match against Madrid where he was put through on goal, he blinked. If we say that Mount is just stat padding against smaller teams, then this guy better produce double digit figures for goals and assists. And Mount has scored against Madrid.
-
Why should they boo him though? Yes, he might be sulking his way out of the club, but he at least won a major trophy. It's not as if he acted like ex Arsenal players who win fuck all and then move to Man City.
-
Twitter can be a toilet. So many overreacting numpties on there.
-
Another setback with his hamstring apparently. Who are these morons trying to bring him back for one more game. He should just rest and reset for the next season. The whole club should do that.
-
Gallagher as fan.... sorry, but that's laughable. There are plenty of amateur 'fans' that could do a better job than Gallagher. That shouldn't be a criterion to favor one player over another. Drogba disliked being at Chelsea in his first couple of years. Would you have kept Gallagher over him?
-
The points you raise in this post, I can understand. I couldn't understand your earlier remark about United having so much success under Ferguson., therefore making them a hated opponent IMO, that Fergie team was not so different compared to City.
-
Agreed...he was definitely going easy on us and Frank., especially after this nightmare of a season. Honestly if Lampard wants to seriously resuscitate his coaching career, he should spend a couple of years shadowing a manager like Pep, or even Ancelloti. I would have expected him to pick up a few things in his playing days. Clearly needs more lessons
-
There's a difference between having an impact and just throwing away the rest of the season. Because that's what Lampards appointment has done. Replacing Potter with an even worse manager might make Potter look better, but the fact is that they're both terrible
-
I think Lampard is just giving minutes to players who HE thinks deserve to start under the new manager next season. Namely Sterling and Gallagher. He knows he's not going to continue next season, so this is his recourse. He could have started playing youth players ages ago.
-
But that's my point - who cares about United at this time? City are the ones who are running away with it in the past 10 years. Liverpool also did a domestic cup double last year, and almost no one else besides Pool fans give a crap. City winning the treble would make a lot of our achievements in the Roman era look like a mere footnote in comparison. They will become only the 2nd English club to win a treble and are looking like winning four league titles back to back.
-
That seems to contradict your thoughts on City. United have been out of it for nearly a decade. City have instead been eclipsing all our achievements during that time, overtaking us in league titles too. Why would you want them to win the treble? IMO City are spawning into something far worse.
-
Now that the league is decided....come on United!! Win that FA Cup final. Not sure if Lukaku and co. have what it takes for the CL final. The only thing stopping City from the treble could be the FA Cup.
-
Even if they win - it will never top even one of CL wins. (beating Bayern and Barca at home, or favorites City in the final) or even our unsuccessful CL campaigns (ghost goal Liverpool or CL heartbreak against Barca) Plus we've won the CL with two different generations. Our legendary generation of Drogba, Lampard, Terry. and the young one with Kai, Mount and James... They couldn't do that with Aguero or Kompany.
-
City rarely gives way against lesser teams. That's why they've amassed so many league cup wins over the past few years, with favorable fixture lists. Now they got the best possible draw in the CL. The only time in recent history where they got upset, was against Wigan in the FA Cup I think? Not even sure if Pep was in charge then
-
Really hating this season. The only thing we've had over City until now, is our success in Europe. Now they're in with a chance of sealing that, AND with a treble. It's criminal that we've allowed them to overtake us on nearly every front despite nearly a decade of dominance before they even came within a sniff. All thanks to Pep too. We've never had the fortune of a consistently good coach. Roman was all the fortune we had. At least we hold 2 CL trophies. But how long before they get their 2nd?
-
Yes, mistakes were made. But I'm glad they at least have the humility to admit it and try to rectify things. And plus, I prefer an owner like this who actually passionately attends games unlike the absentee owners plaguing other clubs. Onwards and upwards hopefully, from the next season.

'Taking their time to make the best choice' The way this is worded makes it look like we have a thousand other excellent options waiting in line. Ridiculous statement.
-
Jorginho leaving was a disaster class from both Potter and the board. You can blame the board, but if the manager doesn't want to keep him, then the player will go. Any manager would know who the integral components are in a dressing room. Lost Jorginho, and kept Ziyech by preventing his move. Just glad that we have Enzo. Easily a step up.
-
Imagine if we decided to turn up in the City game and nick a point or 3 from them to hand Arsenal the advantage.
