I think you just lent weight to his argument there...Its like saying Marseille for Drogba is like Liverpool for Torres...

I can't believe people today are treating the whole racism issue in such a frivolous manner. This was such a serious issue in the past century, that bringing trivial incidents like this to the fore is an insult to to people in the past who had to actually suffer mental and physical trauma when trying to stamp out racism from society. I bet if Martin Luther King were alive and heard of this incident and the uproar it has generated, he would just shake his head.... This really has nothing to do with the cause..its just plain sensationalism..

BTW is it true that the Met Police has a lot of Spuds in them?
-
He may or may not have said anything, at least not with racist intent, but that won't prevent him being branded.... I just hope his own team-mates continue to stand by him despite this nonsense. Yeah, but you'll never know what the club might do if its own image was at risk... Its so ridiculous that this situation was ever allowed to escalate like this. I just hope JT has some damn good lawyers to counter these charges, or at least give the court a reason to go easy with the penalties...

I think he was referring to the likes of preferential treatment and classification of people into different groups based on race... History has taught us that's a bad thing and shouldn't have any place today...Its true the oppressed groups deserve special care from the rest of society to atone for what they've suffered in the past, but even that has to stop at some point, right?...
-
True, but unfortunately that's not how large sections of society see it...
-
Its also funny how the press chooses which fellow players to question about JT's nature... Instead of Frank Lampard, I wish they had asked the same question to Drogba, Essien or Malouda...That would shut A LOT of people up....

Scott Carson comes in...Sturridge doesn't WTF???

I'd love a world without hypocrisy....

All I want to say is, its a never a good thing to hang onto even if it does give makes you reflect on things... A very good outlook there, Steve Wish more people could share a similar perspective.

Statistical snapshots of our league performance in October

Thats because most of the opponents attack comes down the right. On the left they'd have to contend with Mata+Lampard+Cole+Terry -
Hmm.....Maybe have a senior citizens or family section?

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

He's actually a Chelsea fan and friends with Lampard... But this isn't the first time he's spouted nonsense. According to the Guardian, he tweeted that Kaka was on his way to Bridge, back in Jan when he talked to him at a hotel.. -
He was just pulling your leg.... Neither striker has been sulking or moaning this season IMO...although Didier seems to be showing less willpower in the matches..

Sturridge gets first Three Lions call-up

Maybe they're more worried about this fixture than we are...C'mon ENGLAND, use their fear to make them play into your hands!!! On a more serious note, should be a good clash...too bad Rooney isn't available. From what Capello has been saying in his recent interviews, it looks like England might be adopting a special approach for this game....maybe they'll try doing something like Switzerland in the WC -
Right now as far as WINNING the league is concerned, a lot depends on Man City's form...if they suffer a drop in form similar like we did around winter last season, us or Man Utd could topple them. But as far as I can see now, there form is only going up not down. The midweek games don't seem to affect them, and they have even managed to convert certain draws into wins. Only a loss or injury to one of their key members like Silva seems to be the only thing that can derail them. But they have more than good backup, and that's without counting a certain Argentine who could yet play a part for them. People may talk about the fact that we clawed our way back into the title race despite being 15 points behind last season, but that was because the leaders were a relatively weak Man Utd team. As far as I'm concerned, I think us Chels fans should just go back to enjoying our own games without bothering too much about the league standings. In fact the only game I never really had much fun watching this season was the QPR game when we had a chance to overtake Man Utd (and of course, the Arsenal game after that, for a different reason). If our form remains good I'm sure we will have a chance to go past United, but that's as far as I'm willing to bet on right now.

If the media hadn't blown up this issue, I doubt that would have happened...

At the start of the season, I said that unless one of our CF's start firing regularly there won't be much chance of silverware this season. I was pinning my hopes on Sturridge, but although he seems to be the best bet to succeed, much of the goal-scoring burden seems to rest on the likes of Lampard and Ramires. I also agree that a lot hinges on Mata's form and fitness, but we were a team before he arrived so I hope that if he does become unavailable at some point we can survive.

lol...Cech, Chelsea's Caped Crusader... When Petr Cech was asked about the broken nose he sustained at Blackburn Rovers and how it would affect his chances of playing for the Czech Republic in their Euro 2012 play-offs against Montenegro on Friday and next Tuesday, he said: "Let's see what the doctors say. If I were to start, then it would only be while wearing a mask. I already wear headgear and I think that I would look like Batman."

Sturridge gets first Three Lions call-up

Hope all four of them start! It'll almost be like watching Chelsea vs. Spain....but then again if the result doesn't go England's way, there's no doubt about who's going to get blamed....
