  1. I could have sworn he was a Midfielder. I didn't realise he was moron, though. I imagine Beckenbauer to be the greatest defender of all time, he did manage to man mark Johan Cruyff during the 1974 WC Final.
  2. He seems very mature. He will be a Blue one day.
  3. I actually can not see embeded videos, help anyone? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ly1nUJgBffs You may want to mute Mr Ballack's video. Damn, he played with a lot of passion.
  4. All I know is that he has pace to burn and can deliver a killer cross. Those are two things we lack right now, so I would be happy with him. And he sure has some strange looking hair.
  5. Maybe AVB won't screw it up like Wenger did.
  6. There is something strange happening in Belgium right now. So many good players are coming out of a country that has been quiet on the Internationalscene for years. I really want to go to Bruges for some reason.
  7. Most people forget or don't realise is that in those buy back clauses, there is a stipulation that can block Barcelona getting the player back. The current owner of the player can block Barcelona with a predetermined amount of cash. Roma just recently signed Bojan and in 3 years if Barcelona comes knocking, all Roma has to do if pay Barcelona 15 million Euros and the player is theirs. Forgive me, I know my explanation is poor and rather convoluted.
  8. It is because they are French and Portuguese, and didn't play for Arsenal and Chelsea in the 80s which coincidently was the last time Liverpool had a good team. Liverpool couldn't win the title with Gerrard, Torres, Mascherano and Alonso...So how can they win it with an injury prone Gerrard, Carrol, Adam and Downing?
  9. I will be (hopefully) starting Uni in Brisbane by 2013 after a gap year where I can earn some cash and create a nest egg. Why do you want to go clubbing and get pissed?
  10. What about the other 77 games? He has played 200 games for Chelsea. Arjen Robben played 103 games for Chelsea but people loooooove him. I agreed with you on your first post, but now you have taken it too far. You have kind of pissed me off now. Did you ever consider that the reason Ferreira hasn't left is that he and his family is settled at Chelsea and they don't want to leave all of his friends at the club behind. Sure he could stay in London by joining West Ham, Tottenham or fucking Arsenal, but fuck that he has stayed with us. Besides you don't know how much he might contribute behind the scenes. He can retire with us, he deserves it.
  11. Always green with jealousy I suppose.
  12. I like Paulo but...you are entirely right.
  13. I just remember reading something about it. It wasn't how much influence they had, it was just how they were acting in the dressing room and out on the pitch.
  14. Acording to those numbers we would save £23,140,000 a year it those players leave.
  15. Malouda and Anelka are bad for any dressing room. France 2010 is a perfect example of this. They intentionaly isolated and froze out players like Gourcuff and Toulaloun. I imagine Mata, Torres and Romeu would all be tight. I have always imagined Ferreira to be a mentor to all the Portuguese speakers.
  16. Is it just me or is Chelsea very popular in East Europe? I'm disregarding what The Sun says of course. Heh, I'm only a few days older than this Lazar Markovic fellow.
  17. I'm for this. Better he end up here and become a World Class player than Arsnasal or Tottenahm.
  18. Die Mannschaft - 3 La Roja - 1 You heard it here, first.
  19. RIP I have always really admired Socrates for what he gave to football and to humanity. Funny, just a few weeks ago I drew a picture of him in one of my artbooks; using this photo as a template.
  20. Am I the only person that sees Gotze playing for his boyhood club for at least 5 years longer?
  21. The way these blokes left their old clubs ticked a lot of people off too. It seems that people get mad when Chelsea gets involved in an EPL transfer. But was Joe Cole's scenario as bad as this man's?
  22. I don't quite understand what is meant by that last statement, but in regards to the rest of your post; I sincerely hope that he will not be a flop and also I hope he can enjoy the rest of his career at Lille. He was always one of my favourites and always will be. I kind of wish he was still with us, I'm sure he would fit in with AVB's 4-3-3. He is more creative than the lot we have now. I'm sure a lot of you forgot about this but look closely at this photo.
  23. Brilliant. Hopefully he doesn't pull a Cesc, but I would still be grateful if he did.
