  1. I love Secondary Strikers. If I had to choose a favourite position it would this would be it. Del Piero, Baggio, Totti, Gudjohnson, Maradona, Zola, Rooney, Thomas Muller, Cruyff, Raul, Rossi...the list goes on.
  2. The following players will bring us sucess. Yohan Cabaye Newcastle United Position - CM (Regista) Appearances - 30 Goals - 3 Assists - 5 The French Xabi Alonso, in my eyes. He sublime passing technique, Free Kick accuracy and contributes a lot defensively. We currently have no player that is similar to Cabaye in our squad and a Regista is absolutely pertinent to our future success. Esteban Granero Real Madrid Position - CM (Regista) Appearances - 18 Goals - 0 Assists - 0 The much maligned Madridista's first two seasons at Real Madrid were fantastic, however he has found himself out of favour this season. He is very similar to Cabaye, however with a Midfield pair of Cabaye and Granero will not only offer a lot in attack and defense but will control the tempo and of games. Though it should be said Mourinho is regretful that he has put Granero in the situation he is in. Mathieu Debuchy LOSC Lille Position - RB (Attacking) Appearances - 31 Goals - 5 Assists - 1 A position that has felt the wrath of Chelsea fans since Paulo Ferreira's second season. Debucy is your typical modern Fullback, likes to attack and is obliged to defend. Luckily he has great stamina so he attack and defend with ease. Better the Gregory Van Der Wiel and less injury prone that César Aspilicueta, Debucy may be our only hope to fill the dreaded RB position. Eden Hazard LOSC Lille Position - Winger / AM (Trequartista) Appearances - 40 Goals - 15 Assists - 11 No young player in Europe (maybe besides Mario Götze) currently generates such a massive circle jerk among fans. Fast, technical, dynamic, genius, there simply isn't enough adjectives to describe the Belgian. Every knows want he can do, and everyone knows why he is a desitable transfer. Edison Cavani S.S.C. Napoli Position - Striker (Target Man) Appearances - 38 Goals - 28 Assists - 5 El Matador... if Juan Mata is a matador for his agility and nimbleness; then Cavani is a matador because of his tenacity and ferocity. He reminds me a lot of Drogba but truly is a completely different animal, but mark my words he will surpass Drogba if he signs for us. Work ethic, stamina, power, pace, technique; he is complete. Ezequiel Lavezzi S.S.C. Napoli Position - Winger / AM (Trequartista) Appearances - 32 Goals - 10 Assists - 7 Lavezzi is the most important player in Napoli. His stats don't scream it, but his pace, passing and dribbling contribute massively to every scoring oppurtunity created by Napoli. Think David Silva except ten times faster and is mostly restricted to the wing positions, he is that good.
  3. How fast is he? How competent is his weak foot? I noticed he is a Poacher, unless we can magically become fantastic at through balls he will struggle
  4. Or be a Poacher. We have terrible success with Poachers.
  5. Even though Bradman was a great Cricketer he was a terrible sportsman and would often winge and complain to the Umpire, kind of like Barcelona. I just thought I would throw that in...
  6. Seems like the general consensus is that he has quick feet but a slow brain.
  7. Here we go again! The Liverpool comparisons! The obsessive fear about becoming a scouser is too much for a lot of users to handle, it seems. I heard rats don't taste that bad. If anyone wants to compare us to another club it should be Inter Milan.
  8. It is still possible but we have to rely on Spur's idiocy and incompetence.
  9. Then give him £50,000 more. Besides if he can't deal with missing the CL for one season, he is a very petty man.
  10. I wouldn't mind Blanc, Deschamps or Capello. Van Basten could be worth a laugh, I could see him and Drogba engaging in fisticuffs.
  11. It was €31 Million the last time I checked.
  12. Deschamps dislikes Azpi because he is a modern attacking RB. I think that explains much of Deschamps ethos.
  13. Arsenal would probably be worse. Gibbs, Wilshere and Cole. West Ham would be boss. EDIT: I believe we would be a middle lower half Premiership Side. Don't forget it wouldn't only be us that couldn't transfer players.
  14. La Liga has so much more to offer than Barcelona and Real Madrid. But of course Péréz and Rosell don't want you to that, as far as they're concerned they deserve all the money, all the tv rights, all the media exposure. They are they only clubs in the world. It will be grande days for world football when Valencia win their seventh title, when Atletico de Madrid win their tenth and Athletic Bilabo win their ninth.
  15. I think it is because Torres can whip in a mean cross.
  16. That is one mighty fine looking bird next to Ramires.
  17. People seem to forget we have serious cash. FFP couldn't restrict us that much...could it?
  18. If a player doesn't want to come to us because we aren't in the Champion's League for the 12/13 season...well I don't want them here. It isn't like we have failed to qualify for the next ten years.
  19. The wankfest over the Champion's League really gets on my nerves. Don't get me wrong, I love me some European games, but it isn't a deal braker. Everybody is so pessimistic.
  20. We are not Manchester United or Manchester City, we have class. We should at least show some respect to the Europa League.
