  1. I dislike the term as it is far too ambiguous. Because I think all positions offer different degrees of 'creativity'.
  2. I don't really understand the term either. Is a creative player someone like Mata who assists a lot of goals? Or someone like Pirlo or Modric that pass the ball around and help other players get into better attacking positions? Or someone like Zlatan or Drogba where they hold up play?
  3. What about Veloso? How does he fit into these plans?
  4. Because Ramires is far more attack minded and far too technically limited to play in the double pivot; if that is the double pivot is used next season. Essien looks sheepish and often looks afraid of challenges.
  5. Chelsea hasn't been linked to Marchisio and given that he is a youth product of Juventus he won't be leaving them soon, but it doesn't hurt to discuss these things, right? I believe Italian midfielder Claudio Marchision would be a great fit for Chelsea. He is a classic box to box player that specialises in doing all the dirty work but he really shines when paired with a creative player like Pirlo. He does all the grit and tumble that Pirlo doesn't and allows Pirlo to be the Architect of Juventus' and Italy's attack. Of course he doesn't add to the creativity that Chelsea desperatly needs but if he was paried in a midfield with Mikel and a creative player like McEachran or Modric, it would simply be fantastic.
  6. I'd rather buy Moutinho on the basis that I hate Tottenham and Chelsea shouldn't fill their coffers.
  7. Newcastle have signed Romain Amalfitano who is Morgan Amalfitano's (of Marseille fame) younger brother.
  8. Signing this guy would be a brilliant piece of business. Roma won't sell him unless he wants to leave and there are rumours floating about that he has been a bit unsettled in the Eternal City the past few years . + His beard is awesome. It makes Alonso's look like fuzz.
  9. He would fit Napoli like a glove. Hard working, pace to burn and bundles of stamina.
  10. It will also give him confidence knowing that Chelsea actually want him to play now rather than loan him out to another club.
  11. It doesn't matter how good Copenhagen is, it matters how good Copenhagen's competition is.
  12. And don't forget he is possibly the only manager in the world that can fail so much with an 'Invincible Team'.
  13. Football is a business. It's all about this:
  14. It's all about the profit margins. Sloth is responsible for introducing this picture.
  15. Because life is a lot like Football Manager where your attributes stop exponentially growing after 24.
  16. I don't recall any arse kissing at all but infact a lot o childish insulting in this thread, the Ramires thread and the La liga thread. What the fuck have you been reading?
  17. 10 DVDs for $58. Not bad, not bad. I'm going to buy some books next looking at Only Revolutions by Mark Z. Danielewski, The Communist Manifest by Marx & Engles, and I'm going to expand my Nabokov collection. No novel, ficion or non has surpassed my favourite 'Lolita'.
  18. I picked Zanetti because he a charismatic leader that just never quits. At 37 he still runs past most 17 year olds.
  19. http://soccernet.esp...million?cc=3436 Just like Cesc, Jordi returns.
  20. He didn't called me or anyone I care for a white/black/yellow/brown cunt so it doesn't really bother me.
  21. Eto'o was pretty important on the LW during the Treble season. The team is full of workhorses, even Joe Cole ran his socks off for Mourinho. Silly me, I've forgotton Milito! The most important player during that Treble season.
  22. So you believe McEachran should be played in this style of formation? Or are you saying that McEachran should be behind the two CMs? CF LW- - - - - - - - - -RW McEachran CM - - - - - CM LB - - - - CB - - CB - - - - RB GK I guess Morrison could be used in McEachran's position and on the wings in that formation.
  23. Rather than go for the very best players in each position like yourself, I'm going to go for something I think would be more functional. Just my opinion. My teams has less stars and is much more defensive in nature... Too many players I have left out like: Ferreira, Essien, Ballack, Alonso, Casillas, Lucio, Samuel, Maicon, C.Ronaldo, Deco, Sneijder, Robben, Ozil, Ramos, Cudicini, Ceasa among others. Drogba Eto'o - Lampard - J.Cole Cambiasso - Makélélé A.Cole - Terry - Carvalho - Zanetti Čech
