Arguments aren't very convincing when you are just stating your opinion on something as intangible as 'quality'. Who defines quality? You? What is quality? Besides you are comparing a player trying to break through to players already established as starters. Shouldn't Bamford be juxtaposed to players in a similar position to him?
-
Just going to say this: Crystal Palace have more important things to worry about than Bamford's development or playing time.
-
Why? Jose Mourinho isn't here anymore. I think that was Mendes' only ties to the club.
-
Have a word with yourself mate. That is a bit embarrassing.
-
I'm sceptical but cautiously optimistic. He couldn't be any worse. No way. He has to be better than Cuadrado.
-
The club doesn't splurge any more, they are in the business of making money now, not winning. Isn't it obvious? Farming young talent to sell, a new stadium, relative penny pinching with transfers. The days you long for are over and you'd best get used to it. This is a business of money, not spending astronomical amounts on transfers and buying another title. How do you know Pato is a 'has-been'?
-
Haha, fair enough. It just looked like you were calling a member 'fucking delusional' out of the blue is all.
-
Jesus mate, no need to be so condescending to the new guy, don't scare the newbies off. Your coming off a lot like the most recent banee, I hate to say it in all honesty.
-
It is the same, the club are choosing not to use for the sake of posterity. There is a looming new stadium coming up and that is quite an extensive task, the club is being safe with all its finances, just like Arsenal when they built their new stadium. Besides, haven't you seen how the club is operating recently? Hoarding players, loaning them and then selling for a profit. The club is trying to become self-sufficient without the sugar daddy money, but it is there is necessary.
-
Still using ellipses... Well you can't argue that some of the players listed would have to be sold before Oscar.
-
Empty stadium at the San Paolo. Still louder than most of the games in England.
-
Man Utd much like Chelsea has been a joke.
-
Alex Pato choosing a club is a little like that children's game 'Duck, Duck, Goose'. Pato, Pato, Pato, Pato, Pato, GANSO!
-
I know, I know, I know, you are right but we weren't talking about publicity.
-
Merchandising? How? Do they sell fifteen billion t-shirts? I really struggle to see in any way merchandising covers a players salary and transfer costs. A club probably only makes like $10 per shirt sold with most of the money going to the vendor and the kit manufacturer. Hell, a club probably makes no money from shirts sold because they get a lump sum every year from the manufacturer or at the start of the contract.

I hate the phrase 'back to goal'. I know what it means and all but it just sounds to silly. I do suppose it is easier to say than 'pirouetting upon first touch of the ball to be directed towards the opposite goal net'.
-
I'd rather a permanent manager to come in before splashing the cash out on players.
-
He has the soul of a playmaker. His passing at times is quite impressive.
-
He should have been getting minutes after his loan to Watford. Bloody hell.

Name: didierforever Reason: Constantly engaged in provocative behaviour despite having five warnings for it. Talk Chelsea has a three warning limit before a permanent ban and for some reason didierforever had exceeded that to an astonishing eight. Punishment: Ability to create content removed permanently.

Who actually cares? He can do whatever he wants to. I'd celebrate like a madman if I scored a goal like a against Chelsea. That team is out there to beat me, I'm out there to beat them. Forget the sentimentality of it all, the only people who will get upset are anally retentive people on the internet typing abuse and drunk bastards up in the stands hurling vitriol. I'd put myself, my gains and my career over any club, especially a lot of fans and most would just as quickly boo me as they would cheer me. I wouldn't insult anyone or stir shit up but I'd celebrate when good things happen to me. I wouldn't be upset if Fabregas celebrated against Arsenal, nor would I be upset if Mata celebrated against Chelsea. I've got bigger things to worry about like scratching my arse.

Things I took away from the game: Everton are a very formidable team, with incredibly talented wingers. More so than I thought, their position much like Chelsea doesn't reflect their talent. Mirallas somehow always impresses me when I see him. I only watch his good games strangely. Lukaku offers nothing except goals and offensive production. When the goals go, so does he. The second half was better for everyone on the Chelsea side. Even Ivanovic, actually some decent blocks from him. Shades of the ability they actually have. Cesc Fabregas' long passes need Diego Costa running onto them. Remy can't do it. Pedro doesn't fit this team or power and size of English football. Mikel and Oscar are fairly tenacious duo. They aren't nearly as bad as people make out. Kenedy is a damned livewire. He is everywhere at once. He isn't afraid to make a dribble into the defence too. If the team played like this more often we'd be a much happier set of supporters. Shades of Mourinho in the first half, shades of the new Chelsea in the second. Only time can mend this. Very fun second half to watch. Not the best result but stolen a point thanks to the Skipperino.

Lampard, the great Judas, the great betrayer; coming to watch his old club in his time off. What a plastic scumbag though.. Jokes!
-
At least the players didn't give up when the fans did, eh? Always remember this is a game of twists and turns. Never assume and never expect!
-
Bull fucking shit. This isn't some underdog team, they played like a legit world class team during the title winning season. Stagnating tactics, burnt out players and poor transfers led to this mess. This season is the anomaly not the title winning season.
