  1. How do you know this? Do you have sources?
  2. Not many children are at the legal age to order pints of beer at pubs...
  3. One season of no trophies doesn't equate to almost a decade. I don't see this need to constantly compare how the team is now to other teams. The best thing is to compare this Chelsea to to the Chelsea of five years ago, not the Arsenal of five years ago. Or something like that, I didn't proof read.
  4. Just appreciate that Makelele was 30 when he joined Chelsea! Age means a bit less for defensive minded players, I reckon, fowards hit their prime at 26-29 but I think defenders peak at 29-33. I'm just holding onto hope that Mikel will peak at 30 rather than 25. I think his style would be more suited to a 4-3-3. A midfield trio of players like Ramires/Tiote (ball winner), Mikel/Capoue (anchor) and Cabaye/Moutinho (playmaker/box to box) would be perfect.
  5. I don't get where this idea that Mourinho leaves after three years come from. He has only done that twice, he left Porto after winning everything with them and left Inter after winning everything with them. He as fired from Chelsea and looks like he will be fired from Real Madrid. A complete assumption. How are Chelsea turning into Arsenal? Because the club is replacing the old guard with youth? Arsenal let Henry, Bergkamp, Toure, Adams, Keown, Pires, Ljungberg, Viera and Cambell leave. Who did they replace them that old guard with? Eboue, Van Persie, Clichy, Fabregas, Djourou, Nasri, Flamini, and where are all those players now? It's incredibly unlikely what happened to Arsenal over the last decade will happen to Chelsea. Chelsea have not been a selling club since Roman tookover and I doubt the club ever will be.
  6. Blue and white is much more aesthetically pleasing. In my (less biased opinion) Argentian is heads above the best country for producing Fowards and Defensive Midfielders. Brazil however has more greats from all over the pitch. Besides Javier Zanetti I don't think Argentina have ever had a world class defender! Haha!
  7. Swansea are only being insulted by proxy. Because you know...
  8. It's amazing that the most negative websites out all the ones I've visited today are this and Off The Crossbar. Hell, I went to the Bleacher Report and most journalists (haha) are slamming the ballboy and so are the commenters, haha. It's not a lack of intelligence, my friend; it's just different opinions and philosophies. I understand what you are saying and most of it I agree with, I'm just disappointed you are attributing the differing opinions on differentiating levels of intelligence. Because even facts as concrete and objective as they exist are still open to subjective interpretation and that's where most people conflict. What I saw was not something that was intrinsically wrong [he didn't kick the ball boy] but something that be interpretated as wrong [he handled the situation very poorly as he shouldn't have put himself in that position in the first place and it (falsely) appeared that he assualted the ball boy on when viewed on different angles]. In the heat of the moment yes, he deserved a red card, in retrospective less so, but what's done is done and I don't believe and appeal should be lodged however if they appeal is accepted I won't complain... However I don't think he deserves anything more than the usual three match ban, given that the incident didn't occur as first observed and that it wasn't and intentional attack, like Cantona's jump kick or Joey Barton's (fairly weak compared to rugby...) rampage against ManCity. It was reckless and impulsive and he should know better, but given that he is human and like all of us is subject to rushes of emotion that cloud judgement, we shouldn't be too harsh. And in the end he and all the ball boy showed maturity by apologising and moving on. If only the media could show such maturity!
  9. Your right you don't belong to a club like Chelsea. But you do belong to a country, no? A country that expects a certain behaviour, no? So what if a ten year old does the same thing as a sportsman? Just because one is rich doesn't make it any different. My point was that this should be handled like adults and not like 10 year old blaming each other. And it has been handled like adults so end of discussion rmpr. I will not continue any of this bullshit with you.
  10. So you're saying he won't be booed in Wales, only England? I thought that'd be the main place from now on... This has already been blown way out of proportion, I've seen 10 years old do worse things to each other only to see it waved away as a part of growing up.
  11. People get really passionate about stopping and reporting these sort of things...shame most don't care about the crimes you mentioned....
  12. I did that once in school. Police didn't inquire but I was suspended for 5 days. Also I didn't nudge that 17 year old in the ribs, I kicked him in the face and chest several times.
  13. FO REAL? Can we get some links up in this?
  14. People are defending him but I don't think anyone has said anything about not banning him. I've been defending him but I do agree that a ban is necessary because he did infringe on the rules..., etc, et al.
  15. In the biological sense he is closer to a man than a kid....the little tart is almost old enough to order a pint at the local publican, if he can't take a little ribbing he shouldn't be allowed to drink in pubs.
  16. Voted Hazard MOTM, best shot of the match. Stunning.
  17. As I said earlier, a kick to the ribs is a friendly gesture in the Francophone world. Cantona and Hazard are misunderstood kindred spirits.
  18. It's hard to feel sorry for the kid when one soft kick to the ribs has paid for a significant part of his life. He won't have to worry about things like car payments, university loans, rent and all that other nonsene. Unless of course he belongs to a family of white trash, and his parents will spend his hard earned fortune on porn and grog. He knew what he was doing, he isn't some innoecent bystander.
  19. A kick to the ribs is one of the highest honours to receive in the Franchophone world, this is ridiculous. I don't care what he did to the welsh cunt at all, it doesn't bother me, I've done much worse things to criticise that would be hypocritical. What bothers me is the aftermath, the media shit storm, the stigma this will create, how Rafa will handle this. Other club's supporters are going to are going to eat this up. No doubt this will be another racism row. "Wallons hate
  20. So let's review he walks over to get the ball for a corner. The sheep shagger refuses. Eden tries to get the ball from him. The ball boy hits the ground. The Welshie shields the ball with his body. Eden "kicks" him and I use that term lightly.
  21. FOR FUCKS SAKE FOOOOR FUCKS SAKES YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME WHAT THE FUCK I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE KID BUT NOW HAZARD IS GOING TO BE SUSPENDED FOR AGES
  22. Haha, Bit if a shithole then? The boys in blue look flat and uninspired today, unless they pick up the slack and pull their socks up they've no chance at beating Swansea in the next 20 mins. I think of things keep going this way Swansea will blitz Bradford at Wembley and win their first cup.
  23. I don't you guys maybe I'm just sentimental about these things but every time I hear a Swansea v Bradford final, I just want it to happen with Bradford winning. This sort if stuff doesn't happen often and personally I'd love to see the fellas from Bradford lifting the cup. The fourth tier of English football!
