  1. At least I tried to back up my arguement with at least one source. As far as I know Zola entered a gentleman's agreement with Cagliari before Roman even bought the club. So it's moot point in the end. I hinestly don't care if you were talking about physicality or not, I was. What type are you talking about? Flair? Creative? Putting it in bold doesn't make your point any clearer. I know exactly what you are trying to say but it's hard when what you've stated is as ambiguous as Justin Bieber's sexuality and gender. I think you really underrate Jose as a manger. He isn't the one trick pony that many claim him to be. We all know that he prefers his football to pragmatic, organised and disciplined but that doesn't mean he is incapable of building a team around Mata, Oscar and Hazard.
  2. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2294695/Gianfranco-Zola-Im-not-ready-for-Chelsea-yet.html
  3. Because he has used players with the same build and physicality before... Deco Ozil Sneijder Di Maria Robben Joe Cole And don't forget that Makelele was only 170cm tall... Jose has his beasts of burden that do all the dirty work (Khedira, Alonso, Makelele, Terry, Essien, Cambiasso, Zanetti), his powerful fowards/attackers (Lampard, Eto'o, Milito, Duff, Drogba, Gudjohnson, Ronaldo, Benzema) and his flair players (Sneijder, Ozil, Di Maria, Joe Cole). I think Jose can do it, but it will be very hard to fit all three of them into a well oiled hard working machine.
  4. Zola is a very charismatic fellow and having a charsimatic manager is always a good thing.
  5. Hopefully if he gets gametime the loan will be extended by another twelve months.
  6. First it was " Xavi Alonso" and now it's " Edison Cavani" . Can you go day without getting player's names wrong? Also it seems he Cavani joined a team called Kyuchuk United...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edinson_Cavani Looks like Falcao it is.
  7. Shadupp you face, Ryan. What's a matter you? Hey, gotta no respect. I'd take Luke shaw in an instant, he's 17 but still one of the better LBs in the league.
  8. Remy hasn't even scored for Marseille this season and M'Vila is a pretentious diva that whines when things aren't going his way. Also M'Vila beats up little kids. M'Vila isn't even half as good as Mikel. I've never rated him and I rated him even less after playing like a moron on the Euros. No way those two are going to save QPR.
  9. At least with the appointment of Jose Mourinho we'd be assured that he will bring in some physicality. There are a couple of powerful midfielders that have caught my eye. But I'm sure Jose's scouting knowledge would far out muscle mine. Ignacio Camacho of Malaga Etienne Capoue of Toulouse Romulo of Spartak Moscow
  10. I'd like to know the candidates for his replacement first...
  11. Aye, it's refreshing to see the club chase players before they've won the Ballon D'or... The Kakas, Shevchenkos, Ronaldinhos of the world aren't linked with Chelsea very often anymore.
  12. Regulation 25 man squad. Lampard out, Isco in. You see I used the word 'replacement' not 'successor' or anything like that. If you take Lamps and put anyone in ( it could be a GK for all I care) they are Lamps' replacement. It doesn't have to be like for like. A replacement doesn't have to have equal value or attributes.
  13. I'd be thoroughly disgusted if Chelsea doesn't take advantage of this in the summer. Perhaps this has been in the works for the last month or so and that's why Super Lamps isn't getting a new contract - because they've found a 'replacement' in Isco. I'd that's the case, I'm very shocked by the club's new found ability of foward thinking.
  14. Ack, if he leaves I'll have to splurge out on a Frank Lampard 8 shirt sooner rather than later. That'll do a bit of damage to the old wallet. I really don't know about this. My head says it would be best for him to leave, but everything else says the opposite. I'm not going to use stats or whatever else people use to back up their statements, I'm simply going to state my opinion. The midfield looks a lot more stable and effiicient with him in there, it's almost if he gives purpose to those playing around him. He may not have the 60 games a seasons legs anymore but he has proven that he can punch in a few goals and assists reggardless of his age. Buuut he isn't going to be here forever and the minutes he gets could be better applied to someone with a 10+ year future here, someon like Oscar, McEachran or Chalobah. Lamps has at the most three season left in him before his done as a professional footballer but those three mentioned earlier all have almost 15 years left in their career. Both choices have pros and cons and I just hope whoever is in charge of this situation makes the right decision. We'll never know which is the right decision but hopefully every will turn out for the best reggardless. The only thing I can say is that the club survived without Zola...
  15. You insulted another user. Goodbye braz, we'll miss you. I'll shed a single manly tear in your honour.
  16. Never change, Scouseman, never change.
  17. The Britsh Empire. If there is a war going on you can be sure the Queen wants a piece of that pie. Time to send the lads in. Aussies and Kiwis first though, don't want any Englishmen dying too early. Over the trenches, lads! Be sure to run directly into oncoming artillery strikes and machine gun fire!
  18. Funny how ManCity's youth products have turned out in the last decade. Joey Barton - insane Michael Johnson - overweight Nedum Onuhoa - fighting against relegation Shaun Wright-Phillips - in the same boat as Onuhoa Stephen Ireland - ??? Bald? They would probably have a decent home grown team if not for the Sheik.
  19. I've only watched them a couple of times this season but I think Pellegrini uses the 4-2-3-1 with Joaquin, Isco and Bounotte (spelling?) playing in the three.
  20. All valid reasons, I can't speak for Isco but none of those things might not matter for him. He might consider living at Malaga with his family and friends to be of higher priority.
  21. I'm not sure why Isco would want to leave Malaga. It's his home town and his boyhood club. He may have been groomed and trained by Valencia in the Mestalla but he is very much a Malaga lad.
  22. To me that isn't attacking the reason. That's just debating. I would consider this attacking the reasoning: User 1: " Torres is a great striker" . User 2: " You think Torres is a great striker? That's a fucking retarded statement." Attacking designate hostility.
  23. Attacking the reasoning is just as bad in my books. There is no reason to attack anything in a civilised debate.
