  1. Defoe is only 29, so definitely not at the end of his career lol. And my reasoning for saying we need him more than them - they have Defoe and Adebayor, two pretty good strikers with a lot of experience. We have just Torres and Sturridge - who no one knows if he wants to stay or not, and has just 1 year left on his contract.
  2. There's no space for Malouda on this team anymore, he still has 1 day to move if he wants to play football.
  3. Spurs have Defoe and Adebayor, they actually don't need him as much as we do lol.
  4. According to SSN, Spurs deny Levy has traveled to Marseille.
  5. Sturridge was given a chance at RW, he did well there and everyone was singing his praises, and i remember AVB talked about how he'd spoken to him and he has no problem playing there. Then all of a sudden he starts playing badly and people say it's because he's playing on the wings - the same position he was very good at just a couple months ago lol. Whatever though i can't wait to see him play as CF, he better be fucking great there to justify all the excuses - and hype - i have seen made in his defence.
  6. "We're not going to stab ourselves, and we're not going to die. But we lost. We lost," the 69-year-old told radio station RMC. "We have all the ingredients for success; the lads have played together for a while, and they're quality players. But things look bleak. "Right now, I'm not happy, but when I saw PSG draw 0-0 with Bordeaux, it was comforting. I said to myself, 'They're as stupid as we are'" Montpellier president
  7. 'During today the English club had allowed their player the written permission to come to Florence for a medical and to sign his contract. 'The player got on the flight with his agent and on tickets paid for by Fiorentina. He never arrived in Florence. This was down to outlandish and arrogant behaviour of other clubs, who have nothing to do with fair play and sporting ethics that go even beyond the confines of fairness. 'As for the player, apart from his characteristics and his value on the field, we are happy he didn’t come to Fiorentina. He did not deserve our city, to wear our jersey or the values that represent it.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2195509/Dimitar-Berbatov-transfer-Fulham-make-bid.html
  8. Each to their own, i just think a fairer way will be games between the 2 sides.
  9. From my experience, it's a worse source than the Daily Mail for example. Obviously they get some things right, but they're a lot that they get wrong.
  10. I somewhat agree with you on Man city and Man utd, because GD is just an unfair way to determine a league Champion. But if it was even decided with the 2 games between both sides (1-6, 1-0) Man city will still come out on top, so there's not much to complain about. On Barca and Madrid, i don't see a problem really, Madrid scored 2 goals away from home and thus deserved to win.
  11. Great game, congrats to Madrid.
  12. He's very reliable so there's got to be some interest. He says Remy is available for 15m which is not bad at all.
  13. According to SSN, QPR are in talks with Madrid over the permanent signing of Granero. This decision has to be made now, if he doesn't sign a new contract by January and we're looking to sell him, it will be difficult to even get 10m.
  14. I have not seen anything from him to suggest he can be a great player, but good sure - the type that can get 15-20 odd goals in the league. But that's just my opinion, and like you said, who knows, he might turn out better than that. If he stays then he'll surely get a chance. Doesn't look like we will be adding another striker atm.
  15. Not a lot really, the difference between money received in the CL and EL is massive. Read this on the Guardian a couple months ago: "Last season Arsenal, knocked out in the round of 16 by Barcelona, the eventual winners, earned just under €30m (£24.5m)" While Man city and Liverpool who were knocked out in the very same stage (in the Europa League) that season were paid €6m each. http://www.guardian....a-europa-league
  16. I have heard this a lot from Chelsea fans and i don't understand the reasoning. He can be good, like Defoe for example, but not one of the best imo.
  17. Oscar can be our Lampard replacement. And while Dembele is an alright player, Modric is far superior - it will be interesting to see how Spurs do with a midfield of Dembele, Sandro and Parker (or do they only play 2 in midfield?)
  18. Everywhere on twitter? even that doesn't make it true. Have to see it on SSN to believe lol.
