When i was watching the game i honestly didn't even notice Cahill was there, this is the first time i've seen the highlight of that chance, and perhaps Torres could have passed. But for the Ramires chance it was obvious Torres was in a better position, not just even a better position, wide open with no one close to him.

It's not that bad, but moments like that change games. For example Ramires* did not pass to Torres for a tap in and we had to wait till the 81st minute to put away Reading. Sturridge doesn't pass to a wide open Torres early in the game against Arsenal, we end up losing 5-3. It doesn't happen a lot, but you would really hope players think more about the team than they do personal glory.
