  1. If you are happy with this transfer window you are also content with this club not aiming to be top-5 in the world.
  2. Should be a good signing in 2023 then
  3. Enjoy Cesar while you can. Can't believe he's 28, time flies man...
  4. Man of the Match for me today. It'll be a travesty if Cahill walks into the starting-XI when his suspension ends considering how well Christensen and Rüdiger have been playing.
  5. I would be very surprised if Arsenal sold him to Liverpool after this debacle of theirs at Anfield today.
  6. I explicitly said that my post wasn't meant to be an excuse. However, I disagree that a WB's role is to solely stand around while the rest of the team is playing centrally. You have to actually use your width for it to be effective; the only one who used Moses in space was Fabregas today.
  7. I think Moses was visibly frustrated with his lack of involvement in this gme. Willian was drifting inside all the time and seemingly ignoring Moses in almost every attack, only passing to him when he had no other options. Ofc that's no excuse for all those lazy fouls though.
  8. Nah, I don't see it. Drogba's arguably biggest asset was his ability on the ball (ball control, first touch, shielding ability, hold-up play, passing), and while Abraham does have a solid understanding of how to shield the ball and hold onto it to get his team set, his touch is still very inconsistent and his passing is a work in progress. I see Abraham as more of a Lukaku-clone than a new Drogba when purely speaking about the stylistic profile.
  9. Imagine writing "Gary Cahill" and "Leonardo Bonucci replacement" in the same sentence. Now imagine getting paid for writing that.
  10. Cesar having the worst game of his Chelsea career.
  11. Seems like the opposite is the case as he's "promoting" Nike's next-gen boots.
  12. A few years agao I had 7 CBs in one of my FIFA saves. My main formation was a back-4 so I was able to play just 2 of them. For some reason, however, I couldn't let go of this fetish: As soon as the next transfer window opened I bought Hummels and started using my pacy CBs as fullbacks and defensive midfielders. the thought of building the best defense ever plus developing young ball-playing CBs was my heroin. The only thing that stopped me from buying even more CBs was my save going corrupt and causing my FIFA to close. Don't become like me, Chelsea.
  13. It only needed a clusterfuck of a season opener but we'll see the real captain lead this team onto the pitch next weekend. Life is weird.
  14. The word you were looking for is "depressing".
  15. Jesus fuck, any sane Chelsea supporter should be excited for this match as it's been too long since a big game like this. Simply the fact that Chelsea will play again should excite supporters. Tottenham away? Love it.
  16. 2-1 win for us. Fuck Spurs, London is still ours.
  17. Imagine watching today's game and thinking "Yeah, we need Danny Drinkwater.".
  18. I needed this league back in my life.
  19. My takeaway from those videos is that I need to watch more football games with French commentary.
  20. I don't think his performance was terrible or anything. In fact, if it wasn't for him I don't think we would have come even close to almsot equalising. Sure, he fucked up for the Vokes header but who did you see rallying up the troops in the 2nd half? David. His leadership was on full-display, I highly doubt Christensen and Rüdiger would have settled in this easily if David wasn't playing by their side.
