  1. And people really thought that 2 strikers are enough to go into this season with...
  2. So he already knows that Juve are gonna lose?
  3. Well "everything" is not really precise...
  4. Explanation please. I know Lamps isn't the best midfielder in the world right now but this comment is ridiculous.
  5. My personal Top 3 Torres vs. Barcelona I was in Malaga (Spain) when I was watching that match. It was a game nobody of us had seen anything similar before, and suddenly Torres came on for Drogba and everybody was confused. Drogs was all over the pitch and RDM decided to take him off?! Some were joking Torres would fuck up everything but when Torres received that long ball, started running, you couldn't even hear people breathing. As soon as the ball crossed the goal line I started running and jumping like an idiot around, I even hurt myself (my knees and my arms were bleeding) but I couldn't stop going mental. Lampard's penalty vs. Liverpool I always thought I'd never cry because of things like football but I couldn't hold back my tears when Superfrankie converted THAT penalty in the semifinals in 2008. The man whose mother had passed just a few days before, scoring a cold blooded penalty like nobody had done before. Drogba vs. Bayern I can't decide between Didi's header and penalty. I was crying after both of them. I was shocked, I couldn't believe what I just had witnessed. HISTORY. You can wake me up when anytime I'm sleeping, show me those two goals and I'd have a big, big grin on my face everytime.
  6. I know this is gonna be a tricky game, but there's something everybody involved in this club has to know all the time, no matter who the opponent is and how difficult the situation is: We are the CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE and we can beat EVERBODY. We've gone through so much in the last couple of years and especially in the last season. I don't want to see anybody posting stuff like "We have to fear Juve" and "We're gonna lose". They have to fear us and think they are gonna lose this game, not us.
  7. Your midfield is superb. Beside that we're more or less pretty even, with some advantages and disadvantages on both sides.
  8. First time I've seen creativity from Danny was when he played as a RW for England's U21 team (can't remember the game, sry). The accurate passes and the vision he showed were stunning, really looked like he could create something out of "nothing" if you know what I mean. As some other posters already said, Dannyboy has to play. The sooner the better.
  9. Full team pressing isn't just built on the defenders' work. As I said, everyone has to to his duties. If Hazard, Mata and Torres were doing their defensive job like they should do (100% effort, pressing, tracking back, positioning more wisely!) then we'd have one problem less.
  10. Football is a team sport, EVERYONE has to defend.
  11. Talking about someone behind his/her back is disgusting. Bitch move by cap.
  12. Congrats lads! Both of you deserve it And kudos to Jim and Steve for making two very good decisions!
  13. Danny has got to start this one. His cocky attitude is perfect for this game.
  14. As cap said, being a great player doesn't mean you're suited for the captain's role. Prime example should be C. Ronaldo for Portugal. Tho he's rated as a top 2 player in this world he's a bad captain. Leadership, a "never say die" attitude, motivational skills and a stand up mentality are way more important indicators. Cahill was Bolton's captain, Mikel's the skipper of Nigeria and Bertrand was the captain of several English youth teams. What's wrong about naming these three guys?!
  15. This guy could be a potential transfer target in 4 years. Right now he has yet to find his role at Gladbach.
  16. TBH I don't see any player with this "never say die" attitude Terry possesses on our roster. Maybe some of our current guys will speak up in the next 2-3 years but I don't really believe any of them will be THE leader. If anyone I only see Bertrand becoming a vocal presence. But I have high hopes for McEachran and Chalobah if they manage to develop into first team players at Chelsea.
  17. Wouldn't mind if it happened. Tho, for some reason, I think Bertrand is more likely to do it. I know it's always difficult to pick the right captain but with the players we have right now it seems to be even more difficult, at least for me. A few years ago we had Terry, Lampard, Cech, A. Cole, Malouda, Essien, Drogba, Carvalho, Ballack, Alex and even Joe Cole of which everyone could've been easily our captain. We definitively lack leadership atm.
  18. Are you serious about the Torres part? Yeah, thought about Bertrand myself. He has already captained some of England's youth teams and looked like he's a leader.
  19. There's only one England captain and everybody knows it. Gerrard is just warming it^^ But I really don't get it. Didn't England want to start a rebuild or whatsoever?
  20. It still confuses me why Gerrard is a starter for England when he's not even untouchable at Liverpool.
  21. I can't believe you posted that shit.
  22. Think it was Cahill but I wouldn't put my money on it. Will have a look at it later.
  23. I agree with your point about our game plan. But as I already said, I highly doubt it would have been the same game if our players really cared about winning. Scenes like the one in which Cahill just let the opponent slip away without even really bothering about that we could concede another goal finish me off.
  24. The primary reason we lost was our attitude. If the players gave a single fuck it would've been a completely different game, and I doubt Simeone would be talking now.
