We have been outplayed so far. our midfield is totally nonexistent and we can't retain posession or create any chance
-
Pedro has been awful . Infact his debut is the only decent game he's had for us. willian is a better option AFAIC
-
I will not be sad if Ivanovic picks up an injury
-
And newcastle's first chance comes from another awful defending by Ivanovic. smh

It's not that black and white. Bamford isn't a Palace player and as a result the club as absolutely no incentive to give him sufficient game time to prove his worth with 3 or 4 strikers that Palace own. A player struggling for playing time doesn't always reflect their overall quality either as manager's bias, tactical inclination towards certain types of players etc does play a part as well. Look at the case of Falcao vs Remy this season for example. Does the fact that the former is ahead on the pecking order and plays more games for us mean that Remy isn't good enough or better? All in all this was a bad loan move.

He's got a great attitude, good workrate and decent technical ability. His decision making and speed of thought could be better. Looks promising.
-
He's a better finisher than most people give him credit for. Some of the goals he's scored in his career are just breathtaking.
-
It gets harder and harder justifying his position in the pecking order above remy with each passing day. I said it at the time that it was a ridiculous decision to bring him here on loan in the first place and that going with Bamford or another young, promising striker, would serve us better and I still totally stand by that. Admittedtly I thought he would only be our third choice striker but Mourinho making him an automatic 2nd choice striker caught me off guard a little and makes it feel even worse.

This is not about being liked by the FA. It's a legitimate explanation for the issue that some deem "bias against Chelsea"/certain teams and players". It's the same in the real world, first time offenders of non extreme crime are shown way more leniency and sympathy than repeat offenders who have literally made the prison and the court their second home. we all know how this works in football and the real world but it just strikes me as some members trying to be argumentative for the sake of it. If you don't want to become a target, stop giving the authorities a reason to target you in the first place. If Costa wasn't a hot headed, emotionally immature thug, whose main agenda whenever he steps onto the pitch, especially in big games, is about creating drama rather than actually focus on playing football, we wouldn't be having this conversation. The FA and rational/non bias posters aren't who you should be directing your anger/frustrations and criticism at but rather the repeat offenders at the football club i.e Costa and Mourinho who consistently refuse to see the errors of their ways nor strive to change for the sake of the club's image/reputation (at the very least) and that of the team.

Agree. Coming from the same board that banned a club legend, Langley from Chelsea TV for daring to give his honest opinion about the manager at the time, AVB. i'm not at all surprised.
-
How exactly did it look like " a good loan" from the start?. I will love to hear this. If anything it was one of the most bizzare loan moves in re ent times. Palace already had about 4 senior striker s on their roster before he joined and one or two more followed. Its baffling how anyone would have considered that loan a good move from the start and I was quick to raise that concern the minute he was linked to palace.

Pffftttt. poor man's Diego costa
-
Goodluck to her. One of the best medical doctors in the game. Our injury record under her watch was absolutely impeccable.
-
Good. Well deserved ban.
-
There's always leniency shown towards first time offenders. Our very own Cahill was a beneficiary last season. Players like Costa and Suarez on the other hand are notorious offenders that deserve all the punishment they get.
-
I hope the FA come down on him hard as he needs to realise there are consequences for his actions but then again he didn't learn his lesson from his ban last season. Maybe when he starts racking up the bans and costing the team that's when the manager will finally stop encpuraging his bad behaviour and have a word with him.

mourinho's annual/seasonal cry of conspiracy and injustice against Chelsea is impending.
-
Typical response when a poster has no solid rebuttal to the point being made. Let's make the beautiful game more ugly and dirty for Kieran's own personal pleasure. Why don't we. To hell with the rules.
-
Rules are rules and Costa's act on saturday are prohibitted by this same rules governing the sport. Why is it ever okay for any player to break them? If Costa is so desperate to touch/slap/punch his opponent he should have tried a career in boxing or WWE instead. And personally I prefer the direction football has taken to keep the game as clean as possible. And i can't be the only one that doesn't care for the ugly side of the game.

Any statistician will tell you that using an handful of games as evidence of anything is simply not a large enough sample and therefore lacks credibility. There's no real proof that Oscar has a positive effect on pur result in the long term (since his return) Our 2 consecutive wins is more a case of circunstances i.e beating a significantly weak opponent in macabi and taking advantage of our numerical adavantage against a rival. You are trying desperately to make Oscar into a key player for this team which he isn't. To be a key player, you actually have to be consistent and reliable like David Silva you used to make your point.
-
Im sorry but in a team oriented sport, individual performance can not be measured or determined by the score sheet. The next time we lose and drop point in a game feauturing your beloved Oscar, would it be fair to judge him based on the result even if he's actually had a fine game?
-
I said "tolerable" not "acceptable". Do I need to bring out a dictionary? Some of Mourinho's acts and behaviour aren't acceptable either but some people " tolerate" him/it because of his winning pedigree.
-
Excellent post. This is precisely what I meant when I said he's not worth the drama. You can tolerate it more if he was actually an elite player and one that can not be easily replaced like Suarez for example.
