  1. A relegation battling side, you mean. (sorry i had to do it )
  2. Absolutely spot on.The club should always be more important than the manager, always, without any exceptions. The best a manager could do is make a case for being the most important and most significant aspect of aa football club and the only manager that deserves such unreserved huge praise/accolade is Alex Ferguson. What he achieved at united is unparralled and will never be replicated in football again. I laugh whenever Jose fan boys try to portray him as a god and make him look like the best thing that's ever happened to Chelsea when he's no where near roman abramovich. The man that made it all happen. You made a very important point also about our success in the roman years being inspite of mourinho as it was inevitable. Man city have won two of the last 4 EPL title and are on their way to making it 3 in 5. This is despite the lack of, what most would class, as a world class manager in charge.
  3. Who knew the key to getting away with gross incompetence was communication. Ivanovic has figured it all out, employees around the world need to learn the game. You can be bad at your job all you want, just as long as you discuss your terrible performance with the manager. Ivanovic just might be the greatest all time .
  4. Are you seriously playing the "if" game right now.
  5. Why do people keep saying this? When has that ever backfired on us. A caretaker manager to come in and steady the ship could be exactly what the team needs right now and could ignite our season now that we still have a slight chance of making top four. We are going absolutely nowhere with Jose in charge.
  6. What are the chances he reads the first article. He will probably just attack the writer instead of looking himself in the mirror
  7. I see a select few are still trying to convince themselves that we are better off with Jose as the manager in the long run. Hilarious. The fact that he hasn't been fired yet shows that Roman has lost his ruthlessness and demand for high standard. Any other top team in europe would have given him the boot already and rightly so. mediocrity all round.
  8. The thug is at it again. He can't help himself can he.
  9. And Ivanovic starts. Brahimi will have a field day
  10. The "entitlement" I prefer to call it expectation or requirement are greater now because we are no longer the Chelsea of the division on/two days. we are now a global/household name with massive ambitions, massive budgets, squad full of quality players on massive wages, highly successful and (I hope anyway) still with the desire to sustain our status as a top team. If we were a proper midtable or relegation candidate team with squad and budget to match then the talk of entitlement and suffering of the "good old days" would make sense and have more merit but we no longer are. the bigger the ambition/budget/status, the bigger the expectation. that's the basic rule of life. The bottomline is, we are underperforming massively and the manager is hugely at fault for his lack of foresight (It's been coming) and inability to do what's required to turn things around. So yes all things considered, we are entitled to expect better from the team in the same way Real madrid or Bayern fans (just using them as an example) are entitled to expect their team to challenge for the title or at the very least finish in the top two of their league and be competitive. There's absolutely nothing wrong with entitlement as long as it's not misplaced i.e It would be wrong for Bournemouth fans to expect their team to finish in top four places and qualify to the champions league but absolutely normal and reasonable for the fans of the defending champions to at the very least expect their team to achieve the same objective.
  11. I haven't actively followed his PC in over 22 months now and I don't intend to break that streak anytime soon. I'm not interested in words. prove it with actions. drop under performing players, improve the teams overall performance, fitness and motivation (that's actually part of the manager's job) create an identity/philosophy, show much improved tactical nous, Base team selections on merit rather than reputation and for the love of God, get the team playing decent football at the very least. it's not too much to ask of a big club/team like ours.
  12. His allround play is superior to Costa's and that's coming from someone that can't stand Lukaku's gut.
  13. I guess that doesn't apply to Ivanovic. But then again, technically speaking,He's been our most consistent player this season i.e consistently shit.
  14. I admire your optimism but this is the real world and we have shown nothing thus far to suggest we are capable of putting together such a run.
  15. There's no way he should stay in charge if he fails to qualify for the champions league at the end of the seaosn. that's the bare minimum requirement for every manager of top teams in europe. And at this rate, it will take a complete turn around in performance and result for that objective to be met.
  16. Let me make sure I get this right. Are some of you saying we need more signings in order to churn out better performances and results than we have shown so far this season? So our squad is now relegation candidate level?. The bottomline is, there's absolutely no justification for the quality of a squad such as ours to have 8 points after 7 games while playing some of the worst football in the league, if not europe. the blame lies heavily on the manager. this team should be achieving far more than its currently doing.
  17. Name these previous managers that were let off easy. Although I suspect those managers weren't drama queen who dragged the image of the club through the mud and had us languishing in bottom half of the table at the end of September while playing atrocious football to boot whilst doing absolutely nothing to inspire confidence and so on.
  18. This is a myth. willian is more technically gifted than Pedro and fabregas but get your overall point.
  19. John Smith would probably make better team selections and get us performing better than this. It's that bad.
  20. why didn't he even make the bench, that was rather disappointing and confusing given how well he's done recently.
  21. Waste of space. Imagine if his miss from 5 yards out wasn't an offside? And it ended up being a costly miss. At this point, I wouldn't even bet on him to finish his lunch nevermind a goal scoring opportunity
  22. Again his post match interview is a big indication that he's delusional. He said we played well in the 2nd half when we hadn't created any decent chance and only had one shot on target (Fabregas shot) until the Ramires wonder strike in the 78th minute. And this against a team that hadn't won any game all season and were considered one of the worst teams this season based on form. If that's his idea of "playing well" then there's no wonder we have been garbage for 9 months. Since he can't see a terrible/average performance even if it strikes across the face. And the funny thing is if we had found another goal in the end to win 3-2, there would probably be a few fans who would also consider that a good performance.
