This performance rivals the one against westham imo. absolutely sublime football.

Cahill ffs

It depends on how you look at it. When you consider the injury record of both players, age, homegrown quota and who will likely strenghten the team better (Fabregas is not suited to the CM role imo due to his lack of physical presence, pace and average tactical nous) Matic and Pogba in the middle would make us much more stronger than reus would. It doesn't sound like such an easy and straight forward choice from that perspective.
-
This is what i had in mind as well. Simply put, Pogba fulfils a more crucial role.
-
Aguero and Jovetic are extremely injury prone which leaves him and dzeko competing for the position and Pellegrini can switch back to his 2 striker formation if he wants. As long as things remain the way it's been for the last couple of years, Bony will easily fit in and get plenty of game time.

Ou scouts were to busy marvelling over Torres dazzling skills
-
hypothetical question. If both players became available but you could only have one at their current valuation i,e Reus for 22m and Pogba for 55m plus. Who would you rather we sign.

I'm sorry you don't have to be Einstein or have brilliant football mind to recognise that was a counter attacking situation. there was no need at all to slow that down and mess it up. He does it all the time too. Why can't someone instruct him to speed the game up more. slowing the game down needlessly and majority of the time has nothing to do with a lack of football iq, it's just bad habbit tbh. but I do agree he's not the most intelligent footballer.

Hay what's a transfer window without some board school kid trolling the internet pretending to be in the know. Anyone remembers football agent years ao on twitter? http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/fun/news/a402495/twitter-football-agent-comes-out-as-18-year-old-hoaxer.html#~p1llnBduBehtTb

It's frustrating isn't it. The shocking thing is, he's always been this way, right from his Shaktar days. He's always been a player that prioritises keeping posession by slowing the play down and being precise over creating chances and scoring which is absolutely retarded in some/most attacking situations, like this one (although he failed misreably at helping the team maintain posession here). Surely Jose has to be livid after watching that clip in the post match technical analysis. It's unacceptable at this level for players to maintain bad habit that could be easily fixed. Like Cahill and Ivanovic backing off players, Ivanovic being constantly caught out of position due to lack of discipline, Schurrle and willian's poor decision making and so on. These are non technical issues that can be fixed. what are the coaches doing about it? Honestly if I was a manager I will sit Cahill down (just using him as an example here) and tell him the next time you back off the opposition player needlessly, I'm dropping you to the bench until you grow some balls and learn some proactive defending.

It depends on what criteria. some managers prefer to go the politics route of selecting captain strictly based of seniority (their status at the club and in football generally) and public image/perception. some chose based on sentimental reasons (personality and character, dressing room influence and sometimes nationality) and some favour leadership qualities on the pitch. I deally you want your captain to have a bit of everything i,e seniority, Someone who isn't a PR disaster, has dressing room presence leadership qualities on the pitch and imo Fabregas fits the criteria better than anyone not named JT Cech and Drogba out of the current players. Another player that's very underrated in this regard is Hazard as he has a bit of everything but due to his playfulness sometimes does gives off the impression that he cannot be taken seriously. Costa and Ivanovic would have been another fantastic candidate but they are far too erratic, emotional and unpredictable on the pitch but their leadership qualities and all round credentials are not in question.

Look I'm not saying I oppose the signing of Pogba (as if it's ever going to happen) or that he isn't one of the best midfielders in europe already, so there's really no need to discredit toure and make strong cases for Pogba. Everyone in their tight mind will want Pogba here. I was merely addressing the "Pogba is the next yaya" "He's one the same level as yaya" narrative. And regarding Yaya tactical weakness, it certainly wasn't apparent when he was at Barca and regarded as the best defensive midfeilder in Europe alongside Mascherano at the time.

We are the pioneers http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2908422/Bayern-Munich-not-new-Chelsea-don-t-sign-players-just-loan-insists-technical-director-Michael-Reschke.html The loan movement will soon be termed "doing a Chelsea" at this rate
-
He's not the next Yaya and I doubt he will ever be as good as him either. yaya is one of a kind and a generational talent/player but I do get the comparison as they have similar built and technique.
-
As exciting as that team would be, i wouldn't want to be the manager for sure due to the enormous pressure and expectations to win virtually every major titles/competitions with that team. Especially with the retarded English media, they had expect you to win all the 38 games plus the UCL.
-
He couldn't even win the ballon dor. DO NO WANT

Atleti lack of representation and total neglect at this award is pretty disgusting and baffling. It's actually pissing me off.
-
The coach of the year has to be simeone. What he achieved last year was a remarkable feat. edit Low wins it, fuck off. Even Germans don't rate him and thought their triumphant was more down to the players/talent at his disposal.
-
Atleast now psg have a reason to justify his transfer fee and we no longer have to feel giulty for robbing them in broad day light. The best defenders in the world cost £40m plus these days
-
The inclusion of the actual sideshow bob from the simpsons would be less controversial. After his performance against Germany at the WC, how anyone still rates him highly as a defender is beyond me.
-
Point of correction, he's not a defender, that would be an insult to actual defenders. Luiz is nothing more than a pretender and a bad one at that.
-
Basically Luiz ia a better defender than Boateng, Kompany, JT,Hummels,Benatia et al. lololol
-
He just made fifa fifpro 11. The award loses integrity every year.
-
Speaking of bafetomis gomis, consider it a controversial opinion if you want, based of visual evidence. . .I.e what I have seen with my own eyes and not what stats or the hype machine says, he has the best hold up play in the league amonst the strikers. Very rarely does he get dispossed without getting fouled. Its a shame he doesn't have the finishing ability and movement to complement it, otherwise he had be one of the finest strikers in the league.
