Real Madrid would put 10 past this awful defense. Which will be made even worse by Evra being out.Don't think they stand a shot regardless of who they draw.
-
Tie over. No matter how shaky they've looked, when you have RvP it hasn't mattered.
-
True. Forgot about that. Blinkered there by blind hatred of United. We definitely want United winning that.
-
"Moyes' fearless, lionhearted players smash their way into the last 8!" "United make massive statement of intent and show that they can win the CL!" "Moyes has turned it around. This single victory (against the worst side left in the CL) will be a springboard for the top 4!" The internet will be unreadable for the next couple of days. Hopefully City smack them back down to Earth with a nice 5-0.
-
Not really bothered if they do because they'll get battered by whoever they draw.
-
Moyes is so fucking ugly. Can't stand watching him celebrate because of the hideous faces he pulls.
-
Absolute fucking cunts. Did Lambert and some of their players also step on the pitch? No charge for them because the FA loves to stick it to Chelsea. They probably took offense to Foy getting criticized. Will this be a suspension or just a fine?
-
Hoping United dominate tonight and go up 3-0 so all of their fans think they're going through and then one of their defenders slip in the 90th minute and concede to crash out.

Think it was Tony Gayle on the commentary last night who said it perfectly. We're still missing a proper "get it and give it accurately" midfield player to partner Matic. It should be of equal priority to a striker in the summer. Ramires is a terrible passer of the ball and almost useless in the final third. He'd be a great 4-3-3 player with others next to him who can do the things he can't, but hasn't been good enough. We absolutely NEED to buy a top class player there. Give Bayern £30m for Kroos or throw the kitchen sink at Juve for Vidal or Pogba. We'll have plenty of cash. If the likes of United and Arsenal are planning on spending £100m or more and City just did last summer than we should easily be able to as well.

If there's one team in the world I'd want to bend over and fuck it's Arsenal. Fucking despise them and hope we shit down their throats this weekend. I'd play Matic/Luiz/Lamps in a midfield 4-3-3 with Schürrle and Hazard flanking Eto'o.

Same opinion here. Thought he was pretty decent actually. Did just about everything right other than finish a couple of chances. He need to go to finishing school. He's good at taking players on in one-on-one situations, he has great pace, tracks back, and provides width but can't score to save his life in our blue shirt. I still like him. Not as frustrating as Schürlle, that's for sure.
-
Sorry. I tend not to pay attention to players whose names I can't even pronounce in leagues that aren't important to me.
-
Could you guys just imagine if we got Olympiacos if they get through? The "Roman bought UEFA" comments would explode everywhere. Bad thing about advancing though means that we may have a CL game 2 days before Liverpool.
-
Azpi is an absolute colossus defensively. Incredible player he's turning into. If we can move him back to the right next season and get someone who offers a bit more in attack than we'll be even better defensively than we are this year.
-
Hopefully one of our players puts that cunt Melo on his ass tonight. He should've been sent off like 3 times in the first leg but somehow avoided it. I wanted to strangle the bastard.
-
Haha!Same thing I was thinking. Never heard of either of them.
-
I consider 3 summer signings close. That's what most sides do in the summer. And I agree completely. We need a striker, LB, and CM.
-
Think we'll have both style and substance next season. We're so close.
-
Yeah, but for a side like Arsenal whose supporters pride themselves on playing pretty, one-touch football to berate our club who has won 10+ trophies since they last won one is laughable. Liverpool are having their best season in years and are still behind us yet call us a negative, boring side.I can deal with it if a Barca or Bayern fan says it because they're perennial winners, but for supporters of losers to say it is just hilarious.
-
I'd feel better about us if Matic weren't cup tied. The thought of seeing a Lampard/Ramires midfield against a Bayern or Madrid doesn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence in me.I really feel that next season we'll be one of those sides that everyone will be scared to play. Also look forward to shutting up these idiotic Arse/Liverpool supporters who claim our football is so "boring and dire." Which is always funny to me because we're looking down on those sides in the table with our "boring" football. When we finally have a striker of world class, big club standard, Matic is available, and we hopefully have a creative partner next to him we'll be a force to be reckoned with. Just think it's a season too early for us to win the CL again.
-
Yeah, I wasn't blown away by Bayern either. You could tell that they had another gear or two to go up through, though. They'd be more up for a tie against us with the whole Pep/Mourinho rivalry and the recent history between our clubs.Real Madrid would spank us I think.
-
True, but it's not the supporters' job to worry about how much money the club is making. I'd rather us lose a bit of money by going out if it means we have a better shot at the most important trophy. It's not like we're a club in dire need of cash.If we advance, with our luck we'll draw one of the Madrid sides or Bayern and get thrashed without Matic in there and with our terrible strike force.
-
If it's not us then I hope City win it. They already have a great squad and can't really get much better. Both Liverpool and Arse can use winning the league as a huge platform to attract world class players and improve massively. Like us, Arse are only 2-3 signings away from being a truly elite side. Liverpool can use Suarez, Sturridge, and their style of football to attract top class players now that they'll have CL football. They need quite a few signings as their squad depth is pretty poor. We'd never hear the end of it if those two won the league. Rodgers would be seen as the new Messiah. I can see them pulling a United next season, though, where they go from a great season to finishing outside of the top 4 the following one. If United wise up and get a worthy manager and reinforce their squad I think they force Liverpool back out of the top 4.
-
I kind of hope we go out of the CL this week. We ain't winning it so no use piling on more matches. If we can lose to Villa then we can lose to any of the other shit sides we have left. We need 100% of our focus on the league like City and Liverpool.
