Neither player has anything to prove or fight for. Courtois has just reiterated again that he's not going to rotate or sit on the bench.We can't have a situation where if one makes a mistake in a match, the other starts the next scenario. They're both far too good to share time with anyone. We have to bring him in and make him the main man, move Cech, and retain Schwarzer for another season.

I could honestly see Drogba knocking in a handful for us as a third striker or late game sub against tired sides. He'd still be brilliant I think if we're struggling to score against a parked bus or something and we send him out as a battering ram alongside Costa or Mandzukic. Don't see anything wrong with handing him a 1 year contract. Could only be good for the locker room as all of the players love him. He's still got some gas left in the tank.

Yeah, I personally think the keep Lukaku and swap Luiz with Sanchez scenario would be the best outcome. While I think Mandzukic would do a job for us in addition to Costa, I'd rather not lose Lukaku for him.

Unfortunately, they have a capable and competent manager again and really shouldn't have any trouble attracting players even without CL football. Can easily see them doing a Liverpool next season and challenge for the title. Rumors of RvP getting the captaincy spells more trouble with Rooney, though. I think he'd be pissed about that. Still fail to see how you incorporate RvP, Rooney, Mata, Januzaj, and whatever other attacking players they buy.

Every time I've seen him I've been impressed. Wins every header and is very physically imposing. I'd love to have him here somehow, but it won't happen as he's too expensive and we have a few young CB's. City would have one hell of a CB pairing with he and Kompany if he ends up there. Extremely intimidating.

Mangala was asked if he'd rather join Chelsea or City and said Chelsea because of London. Would be hilarious to "steal" him from them, but I think José will give Kalas a shot as well as Zouma. Would be really awesome to have France's future CB pairing at our club, though. Would be the ideal Terry successor.

I'd bet my house that this is the last time Atletico win that league any time soon. Their best players are going to be poached (two of them by us in all likelihood) and almost definitely their manager within the next couple of years. Real Madrid will be much better next season with Bale used to the league and when they replace Benzema with a new striker. Barca will improve too. It'll be mostly idiot Liverpool and Arsenal supporters. Jealous that we're now just as big globally as they are.
