How SHIT are both of these defenses!?
-
Incredibly, Liverpool aren't getting the penalty decisions for all their dives today. That's a change from how it's been the rest of the season.
-
More comedy defending from City.
-
Liverpool fans cheering for Yaya getting injured. Classy.

He should keep his mouth shut. It would be totally embarrassing for him if he doesn't win the league with the squad he's got. If José was in charge there they'd be 15 points clear at the top.Bad for football? Losing out on the title to a side with no strikers would make him look so bad.

Beat Wigan on pens and celebrate like you've won the CL. Only Arsenal. Please, PLEASE let them finish 5th! Would be hilarious when they finally win an actual trophy and then miss out on their main trophy, 4th place.
-
Everton really aren't far behind us. Almost uncomfortably close actually with the form they're in.
-
Since beating us Villa haven't won a game and have looked like a Championship side. Makes that loss now look even worse. May end up being the difference between the title and 3rd for us.
-
Apparently Kompany was injured in training and may miss the game tomorrow. If so, no chance for City I'd say.
-
Don't think the FA will allow Gerrard to pick up a yellow. We can forget about that, mate. Expecting a dubious Liverpool penalty against both ourselves and City too.
-
If I was Courtois and I was told I couldn't play in the CL semi's one way or another, I'd be pissed and probably wouldn't agree to that extension we want him sign. I'd be livid. Are we going to risk that? I think we'll just let him play with no issues.
-
So who would you guys predict is going to be our main title rival next year? Or do you think it'll be like this season where there are 3 or 4 clubs in with a shot? Think Liverpool will fall back a bit and Arsenal will slightly improve but not enough to win the whole thing. I personally think they'll be a pretty nice gap below ourselves and City and the 3rd placed side. United are the wildcard. Say they bring in Reus, Kroos, Carvalho, and Shaw and suddenly they have an amazing squad again when RvP is back and Mata settles in more. They may have a Liverpool-esque season next year with no CL games.

We just have to hope that José and the board agree with us about needing another midfielder. I have serious concern that we won't address the issue and will continue on with Lamps being an important player for us. Hope he and Mikel are both replaced.Edit: Wow, James. We posted pretty much the exact same thing at the same time!

Apparently no press conference tomorrow. Anyone know why?

Yeah, the footballing world would hate us even more than they already do if we were to hold Atletico to this payment. Imagine if both of us made it to the final and we made them pay up or force them to sit him. We'd be seen as " the biggest cunts in football" and it would probably destroy any chance of us getting Costa. Not to mention piss Courtois off for ruining what may be a once in a lifetime chance. I'd just let him play. José always talks about wanting to play against the best sides and how it will be a nice test for us, so let's just allow them to use him if we draw them.
-
If United get both he and Kroos... Would be bad news for the rest of us. Though they will still have Moyes so maybe not.
-
I fancy us against Bayern. Bale and CR7 as well as Modric and Di Maria would cause us major problems I feel. I think our strengths match up best against Bayern. Atletico would be a defensive duel with very few goals.
-
Yes, but if United keep this bus parked I can see them bringing on that supercunt Chicharito and getting a late goal.
-
United can barely get a touch of the ball and when they do they employ pure Pulis Stoke tactics, but Bayern can't break through the parked bus. United are gonna steal a semifinal berth, aren't they? A part of me wants to to draw them if they get through because they'd be the easiest but another part of me doesn't want to see an English side and want Real Madrid or Atletico thrash them. Plus it would be pretty embarrassing if we draw United and lose to David fucking Moyes.

I wish Hazard played with the exact same mentality that Robben does. He needs to play this selfishly sometimes. Robben is so unrelenting.
-
Lavezzi impresses me but Lucas doesn't. He's basically like Theo Walcott was a couple years ago. Total pace merchant who's impotent where it matters. He was pretty bad yesterday.
-
True. Sunderland are absolutely dire but that's literally exactly the kind of match we usually lose. When everyone (including our players it seems) expects us to just blow a terrible side out of the water but we lose.
-
Not sure if serious. He'd be a beast for us.Though I agree, he does look like a pirate. Much like Danny Osvaldo.
-
Makes sense, doesn't it. At that age where he wouldn't be expecting to play every single match of a very long season so Lukaku can not only learn and work with one of the all-time greats, but he'd also play plenty of matches. Probably wouldn't cost an arm and a leg like one of these younger world class strikers.I'd love him here on a 2 year contract or so after which Lukaku takes over. One of my favorite ever strikers. Love his personality.

The quotes from Eden himself made it sound like it was more of a precaution than an actual injury. Like he didn't want to risk missing the rest of the season by playing on. Wasn't limping when he came off and I saw some journalist say on twitter that he looked completely fine in the mixed zone following the match. Maybe just rest him against Swansea and hope it's enough for him to be fit for Sunderland.
