  1. Fair enough.IF he does hand in a transfer request and you still deny him the move then that'll be fucked up. This is the way the football world works. Stopping a player from taking a huge step up in his career is small time.
  2. Same as everyone else. I see a thread blowing up and am curious why.
  3. I'm just talking in general, not about Pogba.I already know we aren't getting him.
  4. Wish it was Friday already so José can maybe give us a hint at whether anything else is going down.
  5. So have the club confirmed he's taken 3?
  6. Dropped for who exactly? He's out of the team and we have zero creativity from midfield. Hazard and Pedro then lose their link to midfield and Costa gets barely any service.Cesc is almost a must for our team.
  7. It would be repeating the same mistake we made by not signing Luke Shaw. Young English player who clearly has the potential to be great and nail down our LB spot for years, but we scoffed at the price and bought 29 year old Filipe Luis instead. Same thing will happen here if we don't buy Stones. United next summer will happily pay the money and we may settle for a 29 year old Garay instead. Hope it's just a ploy to pressure Stones into asking for a move. Or it's just made up bullshit.
  8. Rather just not buy a CB and pool all the money towards a CM if we can't get Stones. Garay will be 29 in a couple of months and will himself need replacing in just a few short years. We don't need a stopgap back there, we need someone who will lock down a spot and actually improve as the years go by rather than decline like Garay will.
  9. Won't go to City now that they've got Otamendi. It'll be far worse, he'll go to United and we'll never hear the end of it week in and week out since they're the media darling.
  10. Pretty embarrassing for Ivanovic that that 18 year old kid they have back there has looked significantly better than he has this season.
  11. Hard to believe and quite telling that we've conceded 7 goals more than Liverpool so far and they've yet to even concede one. The same Liverpool defense that was laughed at and made fun of.
  12. Chambers looks completely out of his depth. Just like he did last season.
  13. Liverpool looked as dull as dishwater their first two but have feasted on the countless mistakes of Arsenal and their hilariously bad backup CB's. Liverpool should've had 3 goals. Coutinho is unreal with the ball at his feet.
  14. Those will be some fun negotiations!Another year of him improving and us being more desperate because JT will be a year older. And the TV money kicking in making it less necessary for Everton to sell and if they were open to selling him they can ask for £60m.
  15. You're asking me if I saw his performance yesterday but you clearly haven't. Stones was once again brilliant yesterday like he has been in each of their first three matches. In which time our defense has been ripped apart. It's not comparable to Torres because like I said, he was a crock when we bought him. Like Shaw and like Sterling, Stones can only get better. He's not suddenly going to fall off a cliff like Torres did. He's already fantastic playing with average players at Everton. Again I use the examples of Ferdinand and Rooney. Looked expensive at the time they were bought but look like unbelievable business now. Shaw, Stones, and Sterling will be just like that.
  16. Otamendi is nearly 28 and most people had never heard of him before this year. Stones is 21 and I'd already rather have him than Otamendi.Kalas and Christensen? The overrating of our youth players here continues. Neither are anywhere near Stones' level and I 100% guarantee neither will ever play for our first team again. It's not going to have some huge ripple effect in the club like you're suggesting and it certainly can't be compared to the Torres buy. He was already crocked and on the wane before we bought him. Stones is class already and will only get better. You sound like we're buying some 15 year old unknown when you talk about "potential." He's already better than both Zouma and Cahill!
  17. Watch him tear it up in Italy again. Hopefully the "option to buy" doesn't include a fixed price and its negotiable.
  18. Who gives a fucking shit about his cost!? Why do so many of you care so much? If we bid £40m for him we can obviously afford it. Easily, in fact! If a big club wants a player they pay up and get him. Every single club with the same ambitions as us (Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern, City, PSG, United) don't ever hesitate when they truly lust after a player. United wanted Di Maria? £60m. Real Madrid wanted Bale? £80m. Barca wanted Neymar? I read during that scandal last season that they may have spent as much as £90m or something in total getting him. City go and spend £50m on Sterling without any trouble at all, signed ANOTHER super expensive CB, and are after another £50m attacking player despite dominating so far and ALREADY HAVING A MORE EXPENSIVE SQUAD THAN US! You think the fans over on Bluemoon are saying "lol, £40m!? Just walk away!" No, they're desperate to see their club win and have top players. Yet some of you here (like didierforever) are acting as though buying Stones will bankrupt the club or something. It was estimated by people who do this kind of financial stuff for a living that we could spend £150m this window with relative ease. And that was BEFORE we found out that FFP was being relaxed! We've spent about half of that amount so far. We can afford to splash more comfortably. Just fucking get him, don't care the price. I don't even care if he costs £45m! Just get him. Everyone will forget the price in a year or two when he's bossing it in our back 4 and with the new TV money, I doubt he'll look so expensive for long.
  19. Bolasie against our defense is worrying. So is Cabaye playing balls through and over the top. Damn, would it be nice to have a mobile CB who's super comfortable on the ball and calm under pressure for a match like this. Someone like John Stones.
  20. Agree with everything you said except for Hazard being awful yesterday. I thought he was great at times and good overall. Maybe the terrible conditions caused him not to be at his unstoppable best but he was still dangerous. Really excited to see us with 2 top class wingers now. Feel like I've said that with every new RW signing but Pedro is a big step up on any of them. Imagine if he has an Alexis-type season for us and we'd also have Hazard on the other side!
  21. Didn't mind them either until this transfer saga. Respected Martinez too. Now the moaning bastard can get fucked.
  22. LOL!The way he dribbles reminds me a bit of Alexis Sanchez. He looks like a little wind-up toy that's moving in fast motion.
  23. How on Earth did Willian miss that chance that Pedro set up on a plate for him? Even Falcao could've scored that!
  24. People seriously believe these random Twitter trolls?
