Pulisic currently doing his best Bakayoko impression. Giving the ball away every time he has it with terrible touches and passes with way too much pace on them. We don't look threatening at all so far.
-
Wolves smartly just trying to abuse our left side with Alonso and Ruidiger. They look way more comfortable both on and off the ball than we do. Which is sad as hell.
-
Haven't been this anxious since before the EL final last season!
-
Oof, I think Willian and Kante are both big misses for a match like this where you want your experienced, big game players in. I expected to have them both in the XI when I expressed confidence yesterday. Very nervous now! DON'T FUCKING CHOKE!
-
Speaking of Theo Hernandez, from what I've read about him he appears to be awesome going forward but utterly hopeless defensively. Which is pretty much the last thing we need, no?
-
Would be pretty bad if his first sight of us in person is watching us choke away CL footy! 😂😂😂
-
I get the feeling that Wolves won't set up in their usual counter attacking way here. They have nothing to lose and can play with freedom. I expect to see them press us relentlessly from minute 1 knowing they can exploit our defense and CM. with the mammoth pressure on our players Wolves may feel like if they really get at us we may crumble. And honestly, they may be right. Thats why WE have to be the ones asserting ourselves on them. We need our boys to treat this like a CL final and play like monsters.
-
If it would make the negotiations smoother just let him play in the damn Europa League. Although of course the manager is going to say that. Would be unwise of our club to sign a player for £80m and have him risk serious injury before kicking a ball for us, though, so maybe we wouldn't agree to it. Would be the biggest baller move ever if we qualify tomorrow for the CL and then almost immedietly announce this deal.

Yeah, I watched that video yesterday. He really is a generational talent. If he continues to get better he will be one of the best midfielders in the world. Scores goals, great passer, awesome instincts around the box, great at finding space, he's tall and strong making him very difficult to disposess. He even has very good pace for someone his size. Would be our most impressive signing since Hazard if we pull it off. A player that could play in any team in Europe and we lead the queue. Hopefully no bumps in the road with some other club suddenly entering the bidding.

Nothing has changed over the last few days. Personal terms agreed, looking promising, no deal between clubs. Just a bunch of Twitter randos trying to get followers and attention by trying to be the first to announce its done.
-
The quick turnaround is actually pretty cool. Clubs will be quicker to get their business done, fans won't have to wait months like a normal summer to see their new toys on the pitch, and players won't take as long to get up to form/fitness since they won't have a super long holiday. A club like ours who is getting business done early should be at an advantage.
-
Oblak and now Giminez. These are of course names you love seeing the club looking at but both are basically impossible.
-
Reads to me like the club are waiting to see whether or not we qualify for the CL to determine how we'll structure the payments to Bayer. If we qualify, probably more money up front. If we don't, installments spread out over multiple windows. The consensus amongst pretty reliable sources seems to be that everything is agreed and sorted regarding personal terms with Havertz himself. All a matter of finding an agreement between clubs now as we've know for a couple of days.
-
Looking at Twitter, seems he was more saying "they've done well to sign Werner and are after Havertz," rather than confirming we already have done.
-
Rice is probably going to cost someone Harry Maguire money. Like £80-85m due to the length he has on his contract and his importance to WH. Theres no chance we (or anyone else) plays that. Only him putting in a transfer request and refusing to train until he gets a move would get WH to negotiate, I think. And he doesn't seem the type to do that.
-
I'm oddly confident that we'll take a point knowing that Pulisic will surely start and the boys will want a response after yet another shocking display. I really, REALLY hope Kante can get fit for this one. A Kante monsterclass in one final massive game to send us into the CL. We desperately need his bite and big match experience. This is the biggest match of a lot of our players' careers. They better not fucking bottle it. Wolves will be on top of their game to spoil the party.
-
Story of our season. Which I say for different reasons seemingly every week. Put in a brilliant performance one match, then collapse and shit the bed the next.
-
Wolves it is, then. Fucking bottlers.
-
Liverpool are just kind of casually walking through our defense whenever they like.
-
We haven't played badly but also don't even look like threatening them. Giroud's lack of pace here may have been the wrong choice.
-
Out of fucking nothing. You can't gift a team of their quality easy ass sights at goal.
-
Like I said this morning, NO CHANCE can we depend on that United side to win against Leicester playing the way they have now for about 4 matches. They look totally exhausted. That match has boring draw written all over it. We MUST do it ourselves.
-
If we lose tonight and United win, I don't trust them AT ALL to beat Leicester. When teams really press United and get at them (like ourselves and Southampton have done recently) they look poor. And that's the exact thing Leicester will do to them with the extra incentive of CL at play. We HAVE to win one of these 2 games, imo. Can't count on United to bail us out.
-
If we secure Havertz I honestly won't even care what other clubs do in the window. Including Sancho going to United. I think we would have such an insane array of attacking talent that there would be none of the usual jealousy of seeing a rival sign a top player.
-
Jason, shhhh. We won't allow that to happen. ☺️
