Very similarly to RLC, he's got every physical tool in his locker to be a dominant, world class player but has the same nonchalant demeanor. He's got sort of a lazy style and switches off too often. He needs to become more aggressive and focused. Because when he gets into crossing position he's one hell of a weapon. We absolutely need to persist with him imo. Don't put Azpi back in. Especially if Ziyech is back soon I think our right flank will be deadly. How do you stop both Ziyech and Reece from crossing? They'll terrorize defenses.

Why the fuck would Rüdiger want to go from Chelsea to West Ham? Come on, guys. There are probably plenty of big clubs who would be interested. And as for avoiding Rice because Frank may be sacked at some point this season, he is a player any manager would love.

I screamed about it in the match thread. A big, lumbering CB was about 10 yards behind him and Marcos had already started sprinting and he still ran past him with ease! Alonso looked like a 60 year old man in that instance. Shocking.

Btw, having watched these first few games do people who hate Declan Rice still think he wouldn't make a big difference? Or any natural, top DM. We have him sitting at the base of midfield breaking up everything and being the security blanket for the CB's would be massive. Kante and Kova are always out of position and any turnover of possesion means we're totally exposed. For me, a midfield 2 of Rice & Kova would be ideal. Kante can play in the biggest matches in place of Kova of need be.

We should be calling up Inter/Conte and begging them to take Alonso. He'll probably thrive there in that league.

Chilly not even in the squad is surprising. Hopefully he hasn't re-injured himself which would be typical of our players lately. Also very surprised that Lamps is playing Silva as the left CB again. Thought he'd 100% be on the right for us as he was for PSG. Especially with Alonso on that side, it may be an area WB can exploit. May be a serious lack of pace there.

Everton will look strong this season but I still think they'll lose to most of the "big 6" because they're still very weak at CB and GK. They'll struggle when the big boys press them back and don't allow James all the time in the world on the ball. I'm sure they'll take a few big scalps but I highly doubt they'll finish near the top 4.

That is an absolutely ludicrous and disgraceful handball decision. Is he supposed to make his arms disappear? Seriously, if you're an attacking player in the box these days you may as well just intentionally try to kick the ball at defenders' arms. You'll likely get a pen under current rules.

James and King Carlo are way too good for Everton. And hasn't it been revealed that James was actually free? He's good enough for a top 4 side.
