The Mourinho Way. As I've been saying, Kane gets injured (which he always does) and they're off a cliff.
-
What's more embarrassing here, that the team top of the league plays like a small team barely even trying to attack or Arse basically being invited to attack and not even laying a glove on Spuds?
-
Felt like Arse put in about 100 completely aimless crosses with not a single tall player who's good aerially. Embarrassing tactics from them.
-
Yeah. Spuds sadly look like the real deal. Only an injury to Kane can derail their chances.
-
Arteta was crowned as the best young manager in Europe just a few months into the job last season. Whilst playing dreadful, park the bus and sucker punch football and getting flukey results against big teams. Now he looks in way over his head and I hear none of those idiot journalists saying anything...
-
I was conflicted going into this. On the one hand I wanted Arse to win to bring Spuds and Mou back down a peg. On the other hand I wanted Spuds to humiliate Arse because AFTV will be perhaps the best ever later tonight. If this continues I guess we'll get the latter. A legendary AFTV night.
-
Here we see the chasm between ourselves and Arse. We completely shut down both Kane & Son while they're tearing Arse apart. The difference between Kante & Kova and Xhaka and a hobbled, rushed back Partey. Arse are finished this season already. 😂
-
Arse will win this and then lose to the next small team in embarrassing fashion.
-
Commentator mentioned it like 3 times during that match about how Vardy can sometimes be totally anonymous for a whole match and then get 1 late chance and bury it. And of course that's exactly what happens. 🙄 Sheff United went from having a dream season beyond their wildest expectations last year to having a nightmare, worst season imaginable this one. Rock bottom of the table and everything possible is going wrong.
-
It's often said that the table doesn't lie but it sort of feels like it is currently. It feels like the current top 3 are way out ahead with a comfortable cushion but the cushion is basically nonexistent. United have been woeful in almost every match they've played but produce a moment or two of quality in a lot of their games and ride their luck to victories. Arse can barely score a goal and are playing Emery-ball still. Leicester look insanely good one match and then get humiliated by relegation fodder the next. One poor result or two for the top 3 along with a good result or two for the chasers and these poor sides can go top. Just feels wrong. City are the only ones who genuinely look to have flipped the switch recently.
-
Look at Man United making the top of the table look uglier with their pathetic goal difference. 😂
-
GET THE FUCK IN! Made harder work of it than we need to due to terrible finishing. Should've scored about 5 today. Total domination in the 2nd half from us. Snuffed everything out. Reece, Mount, Silva, and Kante were superb.
-
Both sides look like they could threaten the goal each time they get it forward. Kante apart, our midfield is getting played through too easily. I might swap Mount for Kova so we have a bit more control in there.
-
Ziyech NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
-
Zouma needs to switch the fuck on. That could've been a second for Bamford because he's watching the ball.
-
WHY DID ZOUMA HESITATE!? Thats and easy clearance for him!
-
Raphinha is the real danger man for them. Feel pretty confident that Thiago and Zouma can deal with the slow as a snail Bamford. Its the pacey wide players we have to worry about.
-
Man United have been utter dogshit for most of this season and yet they're now level on points with us with a game in hand after this evening. Can we please win this and keep pace at the top before they and City start kicking into gear?
-
Leeds are the sort of team that would've been a nightmare to play against for the Chelsea of last season. Fast, super athletic, all out attack. Thank god Kante is back where he belongs and we have a solid defensive setup now. They will be a very difficult side to handle still but hopefully we don't allow them to get at us. Such a selection dilemma for our attack. So many great options. Werner and Giroud for sure, but you can make a case for any of Pulisic, Ziyech, or CHO for the right side for this match.
-
Big Oli making his case! Must start alongside Timo at the weekend.
-
Sevilla remind me of like a pound shop version of Barca. They play neat, tidy stuff and they're clearly very well coached. They boss possesion and work like animals to win it back when they lose it. But on the other hand they act like absolute cunts just like Barca. Moaning and complaining about any contact, crying to the ref constantly, exaggerating every tiny foul like they've been shot. Annoying team honestly.
-
Kinda embarrassing how effortlessly Sevilla's B team is bossing this, especially in midfield. Jorginho and Havertz can't get on the ball for a second. We do look like scoring on nearly every counter attack, though.
-
Feels like Marcos Alonso has fallen off the face of the earth. Almost forgot he existed!
-
Pretty damn good looking XI. Kinda crazy how we can essentially rotate the entire side and still look like a really solid team. On paper at least. Although this defense and midfield may have problems defensively if Sevilla are really up for it. Hope Kai has a good performance and rounds himself back into form so he's good to start against Leeds.
-
I'd be extremely surprised if we are even looking for anything in January unless there's serious injury issues. We've got perhaps the best squad in the league in terms of quality depth. Unless Giroud wants to leave badly and we need a replacement I struggle to see what we would need to splash out on.
