  1. Malmo can’t live with us and if we score once this should be over. Their only threat comes when we make a mistake. But we’re far too sloppy in the final third.
  2. We have basically no patterns or creativity in the final third. Just like the first half at the weekend. Our attackers just kind of wing it up there.
  3. Damn, remember when we signed Saul and supporters of all our rivals were super jealous and saying “wtf, their midfield is already amazing and they’ve signed Saul?” And how excited we were? I knew he had been out of favor at Atleti but watching his highlights from this last season he still looked like an awesome player. Now he can’t even get a sniff against the weakest opponents we play against. What must be going on in training? It’s sad.
  4. If they sell Kane and use those funds on a hungry, early to mid 20’s striker who will run through walls for Conte, a very good CB to replace Dier who is shit, and a complete overhaul of their midfield over the next couple of windows then they’ll be able to….compete for 4th, I guess 😂😂😂 Love Conte and he’ll make them respectable but the gap between them and Chelsea, City, Liverpool, and United when it comes to overall squad quality and draw to prospective players is massive. Conte won’t be able to shop in the same pool of players as the big boys and any top players he targets will be sought after by more attractive clubs. He’ll likely have to bring in young players with potential rather than the finished article. Which he is of course capable of turning into great players.
  5. Start with the strongest lineup and then rotate if/when we’re up by 2 goals. There’s plenty of time to recover between now and the weekend. Juve are dog shit still but they were when we lost to them as well. Getting 3 points here should see us through, right? In case we choke against Juve again this is an important match.
  6. Didn’t things with Conte fall apart in the summer over him wanting to bring in his huge coaching staff? Guess Levy is desperate enough now to give in to his demands.
  7. United club hierarchy absolutely love him because he’s a smiling Yes Man who they have total control over. He won’t ever criticize them, he won’t ever act out, he won’t ever make them look bad if transfers don’t go his way. This is clearly why they were terrified of bringing Conte in. He’s too much of an alpha male for them and would kill them if he didn’t get his way. After LvG and Mourinho (who are both also alpha male, dominant personalities) burned them they’re scared of that sort of manager again. Potter or Rodgers would be similar to Ole. Two managers taking a gigantic step up and just happy to be there.
  8. Probably means if United are to make a change it won’t be until the season is over. They’re stuck with him for good now that the only world class replacement is off the table. It also probably means that if Ole does go at season’s end they’ll either hope Pochettino is gone from PSG or they’ll target one of the two hot property British managers in Rodgers or Potter. To be honest I think Rodgers would be a smart longer term hire. Either way United will have the weakest, least accomplished manager BY FAR of the top clubs for the foreseeable future.
  9. They’ll get a new manager bounce and should be much more effective against all the teams they should be beating under Conte. But I still think they’ll struggle against the top teams with the personnel they have. Thankfully we’re pretty much out of sight already unless a meltdown of historic proportions happens. But if I were a United, Arse, Leicester, or Wet Spam supporter I’d be very worried right about now.
  10. Contender for sure. Kane will finally have a manager who will wake him up from his tantrum. But I don’t think their squad is good enough even for Conte yet. I can’t see them finishing above United even with Ole at the wheel.
  11. Ughhh. Mourinho and now Conte, two managers I’ve loved, going to a club I detest. 🤢 Whilst I don’t think even Conte can get this mess of a Spuds team into the top 4 this season I’ll still hate to see him go there. United fans are in meltdown, though. 😂 Imagine if they fuck it up against Atalanta and get smoked by City at the weekend and Ole is straight back into crisis. Then they’ve missed out on the only world class manager available by mere days. After they were responsible for handing Conte the job at Spuds! It would be glorious.
  12. For sure. The combo of his nationality and his age drive his price up two or three fold. He’s the type of player you can plug into your XI for a decade so I think the massive outlay is worth it.
  13. Moyes is at the perfect level of club for him just like at Everton. Where he’s got a team full of very good but not super star level players who buy into his coaching. He would never work at one of the very biggest clubs where massive egos wouldn’t put up with his tactics and style. It is pretty hilarious that West Ham have a MUCH better manager than the club who sacked him, though. 😂
  14. Again, though, what if he asks to leave and hands in a transfer request? If his boyhood club comes calling where some of his best mates ll,e Mount and Chilly play his head is going to be turned. West Ham can of course say no but we’ve seen with Harry Kane what happens when you force a player to stay against his will.
  15. Don’t think it’s that far fetched at all. He’s a player that can instantly balance any top team in midfield and provide security to a defense. Something that every team other than us is in need of. RLC and Gallagher are much more forward minded and box to box than Rice. They’re both #8’s whereas Rice is a 6. I agree that he won’t be an absolute priority signing. But as a long term Kante or Jorginho successor he should be atop the list at some point. Just hope neither of the Manchester clubs go sniffing around this coming summer. Liverpool won’t pay 100m. Him at the base of United’s midfield would be sickening.
  16. Oh, they for sure won’t want to. But if he really pushes to go (and they don’t finish top 4 again) I can see them selling for a ridiculous price. Probably the same sort of price Grealish went for.
  17. He’s an awesome player who deserves to play at the very top level. He would slot right in effortlessly at any of the “big 4.”
  18. West Ham are once again a legit team. Fair play to Moyes that they weren’t a one season fluke last year. They are very well balanced. And Rice has been great as usual. We HAVE to be first in the queue to buy him either next summer or the year after. Cannot allow him to go to a rival. The strong Chelsea connections should give us a huge leg up on anyone else.
  19. Aww. Was hoping for a draw here. But if there’s one team who you can always, ALWAYS count on to choke like a pornstar in a big match it’s Spuds. They’re lucky to even be where they are. They’ve been this dreadful all season but fluked quite a few wins.
  20. Lo Celso is a horrendous player. And then Nuno brings off Lucas instead of him. 😂
  21. Look at our goal difference compared to Arse and United. 😂😂😂 After just 10 matches.
  22. Pace, tempo, precision, arrogance. WHAT a second half display! Polar opposite compared to the first half.
  23. Burnley is going to be just like Newcastle here next week against us. This is why 3 points is necessary. Or else we risk having two poor results on the bounce.
  24. It’s Reece’s that’s really frustrating because we know he’s capable of making spectacular crosses. But they only seem to come when we’re on the counter. When he has to cross against defenders that are already in position and set his delivery is woeful.
