Gonna go ahead and say it, this is the worst performance of the season. We’ve had worse score lines obviously, but in terms of the actual football played and effort this is the worst. We look like an amateur side.

Even Kepa has been horrific today and he hasn’t even faced much action.

Looking at our remaining fixtures….we aren’t actually 100% safe from being dragged into the danger zone. Still have United, Newcastle, City, Arse, Brighton. All will beat us playing like this.

In the same way it’s hard to understand how Mudryk has gone from an arrogantly confident, aggressive beast of a winger to a timid, Timo Werner like shadow of himself as soon as he got to Chelsea, I’m also wondering how something similar has happened with Cucu. Last season with Brighton he was awesome. He was a tenacious, aggressive, assertive fullback who would bomb up and down the flank for 90 minutes every match. Now he looks like someone from the lower leagues. This is why we need a world class coach desperately this summer. There are mega talented players all throughout the squad that need proper coaching and mentality instilled in them.

We’ve got so many amazingly talented footballers but are one of the worst coached teams in the league. It’s infuriating. And with the current personnel we have we CANNOT play with a back 4. Taking away James’s attacking ability and not having Chilly bombing forward makes us horrendous going forward.

Imagine Real Madrid’s squad watching this. They must be absolutely pissing themselves laughing. This has been one of the worst performances of a shit season.

Figured with a new manger we’d at least show a bit of renewed energy and urgency. But we’re right back to slow, walking football with our two wide attackers not even getting a touch so far.

Cucu is fine in his actual position. No issue with him starting at fullback. It’s when he’s in a 3 as a CB with another error prone player like KK that worries me.

I see ESPN are bringing up Carlo being a possibility if he leaves Madrid this summer. But…..why would he voluntarily leave Madrid if they all love him and he constantly talks about how much he loves it there? Plus, both Carlo himself and a bunch of Brazilian players have been openly flirting with one another about the Brazil national team job which makes perfect sense for him. I just don’t see him wanting to go through the intensity of the PL again at his age and after that Everton spell he had.

For the love of God, just please don’t instantly drop Félix for Mase. Havertz either, for that matter. As horrifically inefficient as he is in front of goal he IS still seemingly our best shot at scoring recently. I’m personally still really hopeful that we buy Felix permanently so Lamps coming in with Mase in his plans and dropping him would totally sour him on the idea of staying behind this season. And with rumors already starting linking him to United it would be annoying as fuck to see him haunting us for a rival because we pushed him out.

Trouble is, getting these last few matches could’ve given the new manager a firsthand look at who he wants to move on. Watching them in training everyday etc. Now they’ll have to waste time in the summer or preseason for weeks seeing who they fancy or who they don’t.

That’s what I’m worried about. Few positive results, few more goals scored, and then the match going supporters influence a naive owner into giving him the job long term.
