  1. Yeah, with Nkunku coming in, Havertz seemingly staying, and rumors of Felix potentially staying I’m really not seeing where Mount even plays. If we were still in the UCL and playing 60 matches that’s one thing. But with only domestic games next season I don’t think he plays in that #10 area ahead of any of these 3. The priority should be to do everything possible to sell him abroad. He’d be great reuniting with Tuchel. But if we have to sell him to a rival we need to play hardball. With so many suitors we should be able to get more than £55m.
  2. Surprised there aren’t more rumors about some of our players leaving and their potential destinations. There haven’t really been any reports about what’s happening with Pulisic or Ziyech in particular. Players who will certainly be going.
  3. Caicedo and Ugarte slot instantly into our first XI. Lavia should as well but I wonder if he would from day 1 if Kante is 100% fit and Kova is still a Chelsea player. Tbh, I’m not even that picky as long as we get one of these quality options. When it came to getting a deep lying playmaker Enzo was far and away my top choice and I didn’t really want to settle for someone else. For the DM position there are 4-5 really nice players that I’d be happy with. We get this signing right and it should transform our team.
  4. Where would he play? We’re already loaded with wide attackers.
  5. Your Enzo point is spot on and it was extremely important that we got that done when we did. But when it comes to Andrey Santos and Casadei I think some of our supporters need to cool it with them. Not you, but I see a lot of our supporters in social media clamoring for them to be part of the first team next season. This will be a season in which making top 4 is absolutely imperative and our #1 mandate. One game a week, fresh legs, plenty of training time under a great manager. We can’t really afford to throw a couple of teenagers into the most important area of the pitch to learn on the job.
  6. That would be a hilariously terrible move for both him and United.
  7. That other clubs we want to compete with are already maneuvering and making moves behind the scenes for midfielders whilst we haven’t even announced our manager yet makes me feel uneasy. If we are/were legitimately interested in Mac Allister, having a fellow Argentine as our manager may have swayed him here. Now he may already be a Liverpool player by the time we even try. Seems as though Arse will be after not just Rice but another midfielder as well. This is truly the summer of the midfield rebuild for basically every top PL club. So if we aren’t quick we could end up having to get that bang average dude from Ajax. Or one of the Leicester midfielders.
  8. Rice is nowhere near a £120m player. But if he gives Arse 5-10 years as a stalwart, first on the team sheet player like i think he is it’ll be worth it. Him being a huge leader/captain can’t be underestimated either. The sort of character you want in your team and something we seriously lack.
  9. Ornstein says Arse really want Mount in addition to Rice being their priority target. Can you imagine if we finally see the Mount + Rice combo but it’s at our most hated rival instead of here? There’s surely no way we’d agree to sell him there, right? Liverpool is one thing, but we CANNOT sell him to Arse. I wouldn’t be that bothered if he was sold as long as it was to a club I don’t care about like joining Tuchel at Bayern. But the thought of him regaining his form of the last few years at the one club in world football I hate more than any other? With that awful fan base rubbing it in our faces every week? 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
  10. Getting these players super fit and into an actual system with patterns and structure should do wonders. Having Poch in place well before preseason and having the whole summer to work should help. Having players knowing precisely what they’re supposed to be doing when they take the pitch will mark a huge change to what we’ve seen this season. Get that structure in place and then hopefully it’ll allow these clearly super talented players we have to regain their confidence and perform at their best levels.
  11. He still just seems a bit too much of a project. And that’s not what we need. We need a finished product of a #9. Someone who can do for us what Haaland has done at City or what RvP did when he went to United. Even what Gabriel Jesus did initially at Arse before he got injured. A striker that can come in, instantly hit the ground running, and look like they’ve been part of the team for years. Of course there’s no one out there quite at the RvP/Haaland level that’s readily available but there’s gotta be someone better than Vlahovic. He has flop written all over him if we were to spend huge money on him. His talent is there but the production isn’t.
  12. Not sure why anyone would bother watching our final 3 matches. This current lot have no chance in any of them. A complete waste of your day.
  13. The word I’m seeing from both sets of supporters is that Liverpool and Arse will likely be after more than 1 new midfielder. Liverpool in particular. If Arse get Rice then I doubt they’d be able to also afford Caicedo but I can absolutely see Liverpool going after both Mac Allister and Caicedo. Which would be really, REALLY annoying because they would transform that team. I think Caicedo will be the next most difficult to obtain for us after Rice due to how many other clubs are after him. My prediction is that we get Lavia in the end.
  14. If United sign Kane and and 1 or 2 others they can absolutely win the UCL. Like us, they’re only missing a couple of key positions and their team is complete. Their goal scoring is woeful compared to the others at the top of the table. Kane or Osimhen would do wonders for them just like they would us.
  15. Tbf, City can make anyone look awful. Look what they just did to that legendary Real Madrid midfield that schooled us a few weeks ago. Not putting a lot of stock into what a player from a vastly inferior club did against the best side in world football. I’d have Caicedo before Ugarte, though. Already PL proven which several reports have said Poch wants to prioritize. But would he choose us who are out of the CL ahead of Arse/Liverpool/United/City who could all have it? Probably not.
  16. From all these names it’s between Caicedo and Ugarte for me. We don’t need number 8 types like Tonali/Neves/Bruno etc. we need a proper #6. A hard man to be a screen in front of the defense. Someone who occupies that same exact space Jorginho did as essentially an extra CB but who is MUCH more athletic and mobile. Rice would be picture perfect but he’s apparently not possible for us anymore.
  17. Hopefully we get the midfielder we really want quickly. Fabrizio now saying that United are going to be prioritizing one as well. Which is weird because for much of this season United supporters have been saying that Casemiro is the best DM in the world 🤔 🤔 🤔 now they need someone else. So that’s United, Liverpool, and Arse all prioritizing high quality DM’s. City may be after someone as well if Gündogan goes to Barca. Feels like we have to attack that market very quickly if we want to convince these players to forgo CL football.
  18. Just seems strange. Inter a tough negotiators too. So why would they not demand Kepa money for him? If they’re desperate for money it should be Lautaro we’re after from them rather than Onana.
  19. Why is Onana even being linked away from the CL finalists? Especially having just recently moved there.
  20. I like Vlahovic’s game more than Osimhen’s (better all around footballer) but there’s just something about him that makes me think he’d flop here. Reminds me a lot of Morata in that the supreme talent is there but he doesn’t have that killer in him. Hasn’t really come close to living up to the hype since moving to Juve, either.
  21. Oh, I’m not stressed or worried. Just puzzled as to what’s taking so long to announce it. I was expecting it Tuesday at the latest.
  22. True. And Santos as mentioned above who I forgot about. Not sure it’s worth having either of those two in the first team squad, though. What they need most is to be playing every week and developing, not sitting on our bench. Whilst Poch is great with young players and training with loads of top players would be great for them, going out on loan will probably be best. If we can get Santos in particular on loan to a top Portuguese club for a season it could do wonders.
  23. I can’t see us buying 2 very expensive midfielders. Perhaps if Lavia is cheap due to Southampton going down. Enzo, new DM, Kante, and Chukwameka seems fine for a season without any Europe.
  24. Seems like we aren’t even going to fight Arse for Rice. I’m not even that bothered if so despite me really rating him. I’d love to see Rice in a Chelsea shirt but I won’t begrudge the club at all for not wanting to pay £100m for him. I’d be super excited with any of Caicedo, Ugarte, or Lavia. Unlike with the #9 position there are thankfully lots of high quality options for the DM role available to us. And none of them are at really huge clubs that would make them extremely difficult to sign. Enzo paired with any of the 3 above would be awesome and settle our midfield for the foreseeable future.
  25. Fair play to him but let’s be real here, if he wasn’t at a huge club like Chelsea he’d be on his way to some traditionally low on the table PL side like Bournemouth or Norwich or Burnley where he could finally play every week. He wouldn’t even be on the radar for a legendary giant like Milan.
