  1. Fixed. Oh, and Geordies have to write down what they say, or else non-Geordies would be unable to understand them.
  2. The last young English prodigy from Everton ended up being pretty good. He also ended up being an ugly twat, but that's beside the point.
  3. Physio's assistant? On a more serious note, this topic made me look up our GK's and Cech isn't even 30 yet. I did not realize that. It seems like he's been here forever. Hopefully he can remain healthy for another decade; he's been remarkably consistent. (And we wouldn't have to deal with the antics of our backups. I miss Carlo Cudicini.)
  4. 1) June 25 2) Guus Hiddink 3) June 25 4) Wesley Sneijder 5) June 26 6) Anelka 7) Kevin De Bruyne 8) Sneijder, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Eriksen, van der Wiel and anyone else we can find from Dutch-speaking territories.
  5. I've been to that "tiny American baseball ground", and it's so old, the men urinate in troughs. You can smell it from the bleachers. The #3,2,1 on this list is hilarious. Apparently, the three best venues in sports all reside within about 200 miles in the upper Midwest of the United States, and two of them are in Chicago. The only one worth mentioning is Lambeau, but it needs to be at the back end of the top ten. Just noticed Ibrox ahead of Wembley and Stade Louis II in the top ten . What kind of list is this? Stupid Yanks.
  6. Nothing says "MINT!" like shiny, beveled gold print in a newspaper. Really makes you feel upscale while ducking out of the rain over your fish & chips...
  7. I hear the old "Yanks don't support football" line all the time. I point them to the Seattle Sounders and their 35,000+ average attendance. Along with Portland, they are the only proper football fan bases in MLS. (Not a fan of either, btw.)
  8. Fine, because the "insert image" is being so difficult... I'm reading The Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain.
  9. I swear, Arsenal must be using their trophy room as a bank vault! Stacks of bills underneath mattresses, gold coins between couch cushions and all that...
  10. It would really help if we play our youth in their strongest positions. This is not a problem confined to Sturridge, mind you.
  11. Aren't we being a little harsh here? Wouldn't Squirty or Tablet-y be sufficient?
  12. I'd kick Skrtel, too. Oh, and the classic badge clothing is class.
  13. I understand...weeks without football or any substantial football news can make all of us feel that way. The season ended nearly a month ago and we're still waiting for a manager. New players shouldn't even be in the equation yet, but August 31 always looms large. My advice: relax, go to a couple of general chat topics, and enjoy the beverage of your choice.
  14. First post and you're already complaining! Welcome to the forum! There just isn't enough Guinness to go around...
  15. Isn't that McEachran's main skill? I know he played a lot of holding midfield roles last year, but he does have a reputation for his distribution.
  16. I see you're getting your training in, Sh0n3x. I like that.
  17. I have a Gerrard song (actually, it's a limerick but it could work here) I laughed when I remembered this It was the kind of story I'd never miss Steve was in a big fight And given bail that night 'Cause the DJ wouldn't play Genesis
  18. I wouldn't take the GDP of Germany for Josh. Josh is...hell, he's just different! He was here before Roman! Not often you trip over a bar of gold in the street...
  19. At least that isn't with one of the other players WAGS.
  20. Some feel that if a player doesn't do anything that stands out, they have "disappeared" and therefore have no bearing on the match. Mikel's role demands he be anonymous. If he does something that stands out, it's probably because he made a costly mistake.
