and definitely in all the world there is only one person to be blamed, is it not so? accepted that he is the coach and the head of the team and is supposed to make it right. but as i see it avb has tried everything or atleast a number of permutation and combinations in the attack and mid to mix it up and keep it from gettin stale but nothin seems to be workin at the moment. its not his fault that our defense seems to be almost willing to concede goals in the last month : luiz with a stupid penalty against qpr, terry with his slip against arsenal, mikel stupidly caught in possession 20 yards from the goal against pool. take these 3 goals out and we draw or may even have gone to win one or 2 of them. and when one part of the team does not seem to be functionin properly it definitely affects the others too. our defense bein in shambles maybe the reason of our mid fielders to not to over commit themselves. frankly speaking i dont have a clue what is wrong but to blame it all on one person is nothing short of stupid. the squad as a whole seems to be failing and we need to accept that rather than finding scape goats.

despite of all the shitty play and things happening, i will remain positive. did not inter milan win ucl in 2009-10 after coming second. we are not in a good moment but that does not mean that we should sack our managers. it seems to me that we have become so accustomed to sacking a manager that whatever bad happens is directly blamed on him. GIVE AVB SOME TIME. plus as i said i will stay positive and hopeful. sometimes such do or die matches can turn the seasons around, maybe the match against valencia will be one such match. lets just keep HOPE.

one for this post : RUBBISH
-
cech ivanovic alex terry ferreira meireles romeu sturridge lampard mata torres i really want to see this team play. ps- no cole for this match please.
-
first half was absolutely hopeless and second half was no better. jt was slow, mid was non existent and cole was mind numbingly pathetic. the fact that malouda was the best player for chelsea on the pitch (and he was no good) shows how we played. bertrand should be given more time so should be romeu. if we are going to concede just fucking soft goals (1st goal against manu, 4th against arsenal and 1st today), we might as well give mceachran , bertrand , lukaku , sturridge and romeu a chance. atleast they will play with a little fire and passion wen a goal stupid goal down than these 11 players(maybe not iva). just sad by the performance. winning and losing is a part of the game but just fuckin givin up is definitely not. anyways this loss pretty much ends any hopes of the title so i think we should go all out in the carling cup. and by all out i mean giving these guys(youngsters) plus the players who actually give a crap about chelsea, a chance. i hope we dont lose 3 consecutive home games to liverpool. i might as well stop watchin football.
-
ohh. sorry mate just get a bit toushy when it comes to drogs.
-
i hope you mean the 4 matches this season otherwise it would not make any sense saying that drogba keeps sulking around because he cant put the ball in the net. if i remember correctly he had 15 assists ( second only to nani) compared to 11 goals last season. does not seem to be the stat of a "sulking and uncaring person"
-
atlast watched the whole match. got to say this : its not torres' miss that hurts but his sulking and uncaring attitude which really hurts. just awful.
-
the only reason we are happy becoz is that we won. also we kept a clean sheet. it was not a good performance but if by any chance we had lost points then it would have been disastorous with chels going 4 matches without a win. now look at manu after there 6-1 drubbing they have grinded out 2 bad 1-0 wins just to get that loss out of their system. i think we should have done the same thing against genk instead of trying to prove a point and going confusedly all out in attack. anyways be happy mate, we won, could have been a lot worse
-
i think we are being highly critical and unfair to rambo. his game has improved a hundred fold from the moment we had bought him and is still improving. his passing has improved, his shots are now on target but his finishing needs some work. but you have to give credit where its due. ramires' speed n relentless running has him as the center of most of our counters, his positional play is good enough that he can get 1 on 1 with a keeper plus now he even does saves goals off the line. calling him a chihuahua is absolutely unacceptable.
-
worst post ever.
-
wow... we actually kept a clean sheet. good 3 points to have

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas
didierforever replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
i am suprised to hear talks of an overhaul after 2 defeats n a draw.avb is rigidly hell bent on playin the "attractive brand of football" which we dont have the players for. he himself would know that such a transition comes slow and will take some time and that is what he needs but it definitely does not mean we sell of all the legends n players of this club(which i hope avb does not do). we as fans now have 2 choices: 1) to bitch about avb n his style of football;2) to get behind him and give the support he needs. i am all for the 2nd option n hope the same with every person here. -
lamps would (obviously) be the first choice. then if kalou's playin it SHOULD be him, if not malouda (i dont remember him missin a pen that he has taken). if the kaloudas are not on the pitch then it should be DAVID LUIZ. atleast the guy can shoot on target and he just missed one penalty which was more than just a decent save plus against fulham his penalty was really good. i m sure if meireles' penalties were good enough he would have been given the ball as i take it that such things would obviously have been discussed before the match itself. so relax guys it was just one miss to make it a draw, poor refreein to make it a loss(against qpr), and poor luck n defendin (against arse-anal)... the most important thing to learn from these 3 matches is that AVB needs to rethink his strategies.
-
y bertrand? i feel cole was one of our best players in the genk match.
-
alex instead of luiz would make my lineup. plus i dont think we should go for a 4-0 or 5-0 win. a 2-0 would do us a world of good. if by any chance we lose or draw this match it would simply be disastorous with every1 saying that we are having a SLUMP. so for this game instead of playing the "attractive brand" of football, we should go for a safe win and get back to winning ways even if we play as drab football as manu played against everton but came home with a very important 1-0 draw after a 6-1 drubbing. they dint try to prove anythin last week but just got their season on track again and that is what avb should tell his players to do.

Another confused pressing, another goal conceded (Genk)
didierforever replied to CareFreeChronic's topic in Chelsea Articles
reading the article, the posts and watching the match i would defintely blame not one but the defense as such. cole, bosi and rambo all 3 will ve to take their blame. but i am also suprised to see how few games alex is playing given that 1)he is as good as iva in air and definitely better on the carpet, 2)he is miles safer than luiz. as for bosi, we all know he is not as good in defense but gives that extra ounce to the attack so thats a gamble avb has taken and needs to rethink. -
a typical chelsea performance i would say. we just keep blowing hot and cold. i think we were quite good in the first half . could n should have put the game to rest there itself. the starting 20 minutes of 2nd half were horrendous. but very strangely that has been the trend this season that we cant keep a lead and wilt under the first sign of pressure (arsenalesque performances). i dont think we let a lead slip even once last season but this season we have already lost one and now drawn with genk. its high time that AVB accepts that its far more important to win matches rather than play soothin to the eye football (which we dont play unless mata is on the field). he really needs to sort out the defense and the high defense line. positives- romeu, raul and sturridge( given that drogba is not in a good moment n torres is not yet there, i think it would be good to see sturriddge play in the center. he looks far more dangerous there rather on the right or left).
-
seems good. hope we can go a whole match without gettin a red and having either josh or lukaku being sacrificed. all in all was good, not spectacular but good. it seems to me that he needs some time and is not ready to play in pl yet.

not an ounce of doubt in my mind : cech
