just watched the game and i have one big question. Why has romeu started to play like mikel? his passes, ball control, speed on the ball, everythin has become mikel-ish. unlucky for torres not to get a goal. for that matter poor play from us not to get more than one. the result could have been so different but in the end i think it was right. also can some1 please tell me why our player of the season so far was on the bench? i mean if he was injured and not going to get any time then why was he even named as a sub and if not then how can he not start? lastly, loved it that bison is back. now we can get of meireles from our starting 11.

The Bison is back....

i get what you are saying dude but it still is no reason to not give youngsters some time on the pitch. what you are saying is in the long term use, but i am talking about this match and i dont understand the exclusion of youth.
-
so unless we make 11 changes nothing is going to change. is that so?
-
come on guys, we ll win it. 3 second half goals, a brace from nando. COME ON CHELSEA...
-
every fa cup game is a must win game but that does not mean to play your first team against a championship side. if we cant play our youths against portsmouth then we are never gonna use them. i am an avid avb supporter but this is just unacceptable.
-
poor team selections. whats the point of playing mata, cole and ramires in this match. i dont think bert in place of cole would have done badly or josh for rambo plus mata needs some well deserved rest. also when will ross turnbull get a chance if not again portsmouth. this just does not make any sense.
-
what team are we going to play? it would be wrong not to give our youngsters a chance but it will also be wrong to play a back 4 of hutchinson, luiz, chalobah and bertrand.
-
there is absolutely no reason y u should not go ahead with your plans.
-
just one question- which team was bosingwa playin for today? not just the goal we conceded was the moment he was at fault but even the first chance that wolves had (a header in first half) was abysmal.
-
TURNBULL ferreira luiz jt cole ramires romeu raul sturridge drogba mata cech does not seem to be making much difference so no big deal in giving turnbull a game maybe. expect a win though dont know what score line. depends on the day if the players turn up to play or just to have another stroll in the park.

there is not much to blame. what i mean to say is i expected a 3rd or 4th finish (and that is where we seem to be heading), qualification in the knockout stages of ucl (though not with so much difficulty and unease). their have been mistakes from both the players and avb but i feel we are too harsh on our manager. he needs some time and we MUST give it to him. you can see he tries things and gives his 100%(which cant be said about our players though) but considering the fact that a very experienced ancelloti had a very similar squad which gave very similar poor and uninspiring performances, i ll say something is wrong with the players. our players showed that when needed we can raise our game and play like one of the best teams in the world (against newcastle, valencia and city) but then followed it up with 3 consecutive disappointing 1-1s. the manager can only do so much and it is the players who have to raise their own games. if all it took was a good sppech or a good "hair-dryer" treatment to make the players play well then things would have been very different. anyways avb is to take his share of blame too. he trusted the ond guard to work but unfortunately its not been good and he is to be blamed for it.sometimes his tactics and subs have been way off (like against wigan or valencia away). end of the statement- we should keep faith and hope that our players get some miraculous realization about the abilities and about their responsibilty to the club. COME ON CHELSEA....

dissapointing... end of story...

2 points behinf but they also have a game in hand so effectively its 5 or atleast 3 (i dont expect everton to beat spurs)
-
this match almost seals that its a 2 horse race upfront (maybe 3 with 3rd being tottenham). but really expect spurs to slip sooner or later and that would make things really interesting for 3rd and 4th with spurs bein 2points ahead with a game in hand, arsenal being a point behind and pool 3. its going to be a cracking 2nd half to the season.
-
out- anelka, alex, malouda, torres(only if we do find a striker in time) in- gary cahill and one more center back, cavani,
-
really???? the shot on the bar, the tickle to cole in the build up to the goal, and the thru ball to rambo. he is 33 and playing every third day and almost running into the ground unless some other ladyboy. plus i think most of the people here are tired of waiting for torres "to get back to form".

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

some people just have to talk shit and you are... well you know where i am going with it. -
i really think u are missing the point. very few people actually would have expected torres to just come off the bench and score. it is his attitude that concerns most. not celebratin on the lampard penalty, when iva went out lampard and all the subs were concerned and were askin him the problem but i dont even see torres move and then he puts such an uninspiring performance on the ptch when he should have been playin his heart out for a place was just shows that his heart is not into it. mata was chasin balls after being 90 minutes on the pitch. after today's performance i would say that we definitely need a striker or a right winger in jan(considerin we can push sturridge in the center without much problem)
-
terry was amazing today. just magnificiently superb. cole, meireles were good too. bosingwa , ferreira were more than decent and showed that if u do put your foot down, its hard to concede a goal. i expected a lot more from sturridge, infact expected him to rip kettou into pieces but that certainly dint happen. but the biggest disaapiontment of the day was cech (despite the amazing save). he is supposed to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world but just cant feel it. even after conceding goals, he does not seem to be angry as is the case with most keepers but infact his body language says to get on with the game. anyways hope iva is fine, if not can we include alex for the next match?
-
tough one but i will vote for sturridge.
-
the match will mostly be decided on how much mata and danny can peg their wingers back. i dont think assou-ketto,walker,corluka is good enough for both of them in one on one so i can see a lot of play from sturridge. to stop that they might might ask lennon and bale to fall back which will suite us. so lets hope mata does what he does best and danny continues his awesome run. come on chelsea....
-
really poor performance, from the players and avb. i dont think bringing kalou on was a mistake or either bringin mikel on. he saw that romeu was not being needed as much and so removed him and put in a 4-2-3-1 which did make us a little more threating than the first half. then as far as mikel's sub is concerned, i think he got that right too, he reverted to 4-3-3 after being 1-0 up but removin sturridge was a mistake. anyways i dont think avb should be the only one to take blame. the players were absolutely pathetic. there was no passion, no tempo, no aggression. even in the lst 4 mins wigan were looking for the win not us. iva was uncharacteristically bad, cole(inspite of the assist),raul, cech and drogba were just pathetic. mata had on off day and that was what hurt us most. he is the heart and backbone of our attacks and if he has an off day this is what will happen. i just hope the players turn up for the tottenham match. come on chelsea...
-
fuck... the worst opponents... even milan would have been better. this is absolutely fuckin... no luck...
-
ramires is on 4 yellows. dont think he should play.
