dint know lamps raul and rambo were all on 4 yellows. this blows. i definitely dont see rambo playin this match but maybe one of raul or lamps. probably lamps because its hard to see raul goin a game without gettin booked. so my team would be cech iva luiz jt cole oriol lamps josh/malouda sturridge torres mata. hope we get a 2 or 3 goal lead in the 1st half itself so that players can be rested.
-
one issue that this match raises is super frank or raul. i seriously think there is no perfect answer. lampard showed his class with the pass to sturridge which eventually led to a penalty. that pass was simply unbelievable and deserves all the accolades but raul's energy is something which works in his favour. so the best thing to do would be rotation which i think even avb intends to do. as far as "big" matches are concerned, i do think lampsy would be more effective as a sub.
-
can any1 post the pic where balotelli was shaking hands with sturridge. i dont think there is any greater sign of respect.
-
woooooooooohhhhhhhhooooooooo... fucking yes yes yes yes.... take that "unbeatables"... we are back and with a fucking bang... WWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOO ps- was reading some of the comments in the start of the match wen we were not playin well. its shameless that some "fans" cant stand behind their club when its down. to such "fans" just fuck off off this site forever. to others - trust avb...
-
"nervous wreck" thats what i am at the moment. plus i dont understand why we cant play alex? he has given his transfer request but it does mean that we cant play him and put paulo or bosi and lose one of the most important matches of the season. for me the team should be this cech iva alex jt cole romeu ramires raul daniel mata drogba
-
how did i miss it... drogba now has 149 chelsea goals... come on dd
-
"WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE IN JANUARY" the first thing should be to provide DD a new contract...
-
from the 3rd minute of the match i just cant stop singing "DIDIER DROGBA LA-LA-LA-LA-LA... DIDIER DROGBA LA-LA-LA-LA-LA"...
-
look whose back??? its DIDIER DROGBA... just fucking awesome from the legend... slapping the chelsea's and his own critics in the face. "he is not good enough", "he has mentally checked out" were some of the things bein said bout him and look at the man's reply. i know its not been his best season but the way people wanted him out was absolutely uncreditable. drogba is a legend and last night he proved why so. he can rally players around him, lift up the team and lead by example. this is why he is one of the best in the world and this is why no doubt what so ever that he should stay. come on chelsea...
-
not really. he was losing influence in the match. cabaye was marking him well when we were attacking and lampard was not able to completely reciprocate it while newcastle were attacking. so i feel meireles will start.
-
probably the most important match of the season. can turn the whole season around or finish whatever small hope we have to salvage something out of it. no doubt we will put our best team on the pitch which should likely be cech iva ALEX jt cole oriol rambo raul sturridge mata drogba pls no luiz because he is simply stupid.
-
fair enough but essien's last 3 seasons have not been consistent. josh needs to be shown some trust and lampard will be 34 next season... so selling mikel will prompt us to make a big buy next season if we do sell mikel. but the positive is we may have a good player of avb's choice rather than mikel.

What should be our defence against Manchester City?
didierforever replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
iva - alex - terry - cole nothin absolutely except for these 4. and luiz bein suspended is nothin short of a boon. he would definitely have been red carded against city. -
matador is awesome... fucking awesome turn. icing on the cake would have been if drogba had finished it which he should have done... but mata rocks..
-
that is a dodgy one. it is a given now that he wont make the first team in front of oriol or raul but in front of small teams he is more than useful and also in times of injuries. plus selling him would make us buy a cdm player and the big question would be who?
-
very true. but irrespective of that he should get playing time. what is happening to kakuta should not happen to him.
-
happy bday essien... hope u play the whole season and make us win the champions league

5 things to learn from Newcastle's game
didierforever replied to BLionheart's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
agreed to points except for 1 and 5. the counter attacking style wont always work. for eg- against valencia WE WILL have to take the attack to them rather than hoping to counter off them which wont be easy. so against valencia i feel drogba should play simply because HE CAN SCORE even while playin poorly. plus torres looks a good sub where he can counter and get far more spaces because the mids of the other team is tired. so i feel unitl torres starts putting the ball in the back of the net he should be played as a sub (he could have scored atleast once today). -
out: alex, anelka, kalou, paulo ferreira, josh and lukaku(loan) in: gary cahill, kevin de bryune, alvero perreira and someone from higuain or benzema if real will be willing to sell which i think they will be. in midfield we have lamps, raul, rambo, oriol, mikel and essien will be makin a comeback so gettin a mid fielder should be second to buyin a winger and a center back.
-
awesome result and for once we can even say awesome victory... it could have been anything from 6-0 to 3-3 but no doubt that we were the better team and deserved to win. next up is valencia and playing luiz will be nothin short of suicide. that guy seems to forget what common sense is sometimes. so easily could have been a red and a disastorous day for us.
-
need all the creativity we have to win this one and i dont think we should go for anything else than a win before the valencia match. so my team would be cech;iva alex terry cole; ramires romeu raul;mata drogba sturridge. i would love to see sturridge as the striker but that would leave the right wing as an option for anelka or kalou who are not at all match fit so i would rather go with these 3 up front.
-
now that is what i am talking about... STURIDDGE
-
come on chelsea... come on captain marvel... (the tide is changing guys, our good times are near)
-
i seriously dont expect any statements to be made today. we should just go out there, play safe, and get a 1-0 or a 2-0 win. no need to go all guns blazing and then fall a goal behind or some other shit. but there are 2 things that we should get out of this match 1) 3 points, 2) a clean sheet. if we dont that either one of them, it wont do us any good at all. so COME ON CHELSEA
-
5 months is enough?????? obviously sir alex ferguson won every match after taking reins on manu or was their first league title some 5 or 6 years after. dont ask childish questions. 5 months is no time to judge a manager who got a squad already in the twilight and low on form. plus what time includes without saying is "TRUST" which we hardly have shown him. just 2 months ago he was the next great thing according to all of us and after some 5-6 matches he is just another dud??? seriously i dont even feel like answering these silly qualms or yours.
