just imagine rambo in the pivot alongside a DM like DDR, bender, witsel, vidal. KILLING.
-
was brilliant today. definitely played himself in against norwich ahead of hazard. he has come a long way since the pre-season where i called him marin2.0
-
we looked a little "unsure" (i m not sure if thats the right word) till the first goal. but we were having our moments, some half chances. after the first goal, we ran riot.
-
this thread needs to be dissolved. its pretty clear CFC plays its best football with both on the field. add an in form hazard and we have magic. so like today i hope to see mata-oscar exchanging position, like mata started as no.10 , then after 15 or so minutes went wide with oscar getting a chance. and that is what should be happening.
-
I am getting repetitive here but HE IS THE BOSS!!!!
-
rambo has haters???? i thought he IS THE BOSS!!!!
-
some1/any1, give me a stream, PLEASE.
-
maybe because this is a must-win game and willian so far does not look like he has settled in. not a match to take chances.
-
any1 got streams??
-
why cole??? damn,,,
-
line-up???
-
NERVOUS!!! damn... we drop points today and we are scrweed..
-
is he starting today???
-
to be fair, if it was soldado who had scratched luiz, would not we have wanted a ban. what torres did deserves a ban. but we will be playing mid-week matches anyways, so hope he can continue his "resurgence" in that.
-
no hazard. now just hope for no cole. without kdb too, i hope to line up in the following way : cech iva cahill JT bertrand mikel rambo willian/oscar mata schurlle torres
-
thats the point. it would end up being a 4-2-3-1 with oscar playing box2box pivot position. something which is well taboo here..
-
on paper it looks good but i think we will get over run in the mid. mikel/ramires are not good enough DMs to provide that type of cover to our defence individually. i mean even pep tried this at bayern and bastian struggled playing in that lone DM role. i feel this would leave us too exposed.

do u mean townsend would not help walker if hazard was having a field day against him? look how deep hazard is when the opposition has the ball, and that is because of jose's play and tactics. if a person is a winger it does not mean he will not help out in defence. its about position the opposition team into there own half and pining them there. as for the video and all, all u need to do is watch a couple of barca matches to see exactly what i am talking about. or scratch that, all u needed to do was see everton vs chelsea to see how naismith and coleman continously double marked eden or how valencia and jones double marked eden in our match against united. and suprisingly naismith and valencia are wingers who are supposed to attack. so there is plenty of logic in my thinking and the fact i have to even tell u that wingers fall back and help their fullbacks against opposition wingers of the calibre of hazard is well a little dodgy. townsend was having a ball out there in the first half. i was not at all suprised that in the 2nd half oscar shifted to the LW whie hazard played cam. and i am sure a big part of that would have been oscar's defensive ability.

i know. i saw the scoreline too. but i would have wanted him to perform excelllently rather than perform the way he did today. i mean his performance against sociedada (?)(not 100% sure) against whom he made that brilliant, out of the world save, or his performance against RM in last season's copa del ray final , is what would get him into the team. plus what he did towards the end was cheap and poor.
-
was very poor today. one of his very unsure performances. fluffed CR's shot, one another to coentrao and benzema each. and really poor what he did towards the end of the match where he lost grip on the ball and then rolled on the floor to cover his mistake.

torres is a confidence player. for the first time in 2 and a half years, he has shown the confidence to take on defenders and actually go past them. and then u say jose should have subbed him off? torres would have come right to square one. there are always players on yellow but you dont take them off unnecessarily. torres was the BEST PLAYER ON THE PITCH in the 2nd half. to take him off would have been stupid. he dint do anything violent after the 1st yellow. it was a 50-50 air ball, which torres had every right to go for. infact i would have been worried if he had not. he dint lead with his elbow or tug at jan's shirt or kill him or anything. he just went for the ball. the red was a poor decision but to sub him off would have been worse for him. also i am sure, like in the post-match conference, the first thing that mou would have said to him would have been "this is the torres i wanna see every match"

there is nothing confusing here. if hazard had been the more threatening of the winger then townsend would have been deeper in his half trying to help walker out. also hazard is a winger. he HAS to provide "support" to cole, specially if he is unable to help in attacks. actually this is nothing new in football and is pretty common knowledge if u actually watch football. so.... oh so players like ribery dont help out in defense and shine in the offensive part. we had robben, joe cole who did exactly that. i dont care if hazard's can do this or that. football is a team game and in the end the only thing that matters is if the TEAM wins or loses. this statement of yours He's an offensive player in the first place, that should be his main focus in a game. is a really poor one. jose is building a team for the long run. he is building a team around a philosophy. and because of that we had benched our best player of the past 2 seasons. so it really does not matter how comfortable hazard is with tactic A or tactic B. he like the others has to adapt and learn and do it quickly. also " but he's doing more chasing after it than getting it which takes away his joy" . hazard plays for chelsea fc, its not the other way around. we are not going to change our game play because it does not fit a particular individual nicely. jose is trying to make a far more complete player out of him.
-
fuck them!!! HE IS OURS.

i think i covered all the injured guys. pod and ox should even make the list of first teamers. arsenal are as good (or bad) with verma in their defence as without him. arteta is one that bothers me as he is class but that would mean wilshere/ramsey out. santi - as i said before, i dont think santi would be a starter with ozil in the team. look at the front 3 and look at their defensive frivolities. santi-ozil-walcott/gnabry would be eaten alive by most of the counter-attacking teams. so even he is an iffy. how did CC be any criteria for judging a team?? i mean seriously? everton have 9 points off 5 games with a home match against newcastle in hand, and the way newcastle have played so far, i can say they will have 12 in 6 which would make them go 3rd in the table. even a draw would take them to 6th/7th which is everton's normal position in the league. so how is everton poor/bad is beyond me. also everton are the only team in PL so far which has not been beaten.
