against everton, their analysis would have made u think that we had drubbed everton 4-0 (which should have been a case). i think the motd analysis is very fair in general. norwich deserved a point yesterday and deserved a some focus.

but we wont be selling our best player. i mean we can get 30 mil (easily) off just ba, marin, moses, kakuta and i seriously doubt they are anywhere near our plans. we already have 6 WC AMs and the likes of piazon coming thru. so definitely expect these 4 to be offloaded. lamps, essien is a maybe but lets see. but we have a LOT of options in this department. i mean rambo, lamps, mikel, essien, mvg, josh, romeu, chalobah. plus i think we will buy witsel/gundogan/bender or some other WC DM. so i do expect a lot of off-loading in this department too. etoo i feel wont be given an extension. he was a stop-gap and will remain so. we will definitely buy a WC striker next season. torres being sold is wishful, but i hope that comes true. lukaku as a 2nd striker and a WC striker (rooney) as the 1st one, would be ideal.
-
atleast he is boosting his re-sale value.
-
i feel next year, we will get back on some of the investments we have made. marin - sold moses - sold (or one of the current 6 AMs who are better than moses) kakuta - sold. ba - sold mikel - sold (?) torres- sold. lamps - retires/free agent essien - free agent etoo - free agent with the wages and the money generated by these transfers we can easily buy a high profile ST and CDM and bring back players like lukaku, josh and romeu.

i feel, even if it had not worked, jose did make the right calls. there is a poster above who says "jose reminded him of rafa" and i say that is utter bullshit. jose had the balls of taking the risk and going all out for the win. all rafa would have done would have been like for like changes, and we ultimately would have dropped 2 or 3 points. jose knew that it would have been his head on the block if norwich had scored in a counter after taking off cole, yet, he made the right decision of going for the 3 points , as he knew how important a win would be. simply shows that he puts the team ahead of himself.

MOTM - jose mourinho. brilliant subs. took the risk and it damn well payed off... reminded me a little of how it was done in his first stint here. calling DD off the bench in a lot of games to change matches... good old mou.
-
will be interesting to see who jose plays in this game. after this match we have some important and relatively tough games on the trot. 19th - cardiff (h) 22nd - schalke (a) 27th - man city (h) 2nd - newcastle (a) 6nd - schalke (h) so this is a relatively easy game compared to the other games and they come thick and fast. so probably some squad rotation in this game. cech azpi cahill JT bert rambo mikel willian kdb schurlle torres (if fit). also with the other title "pretenders" and "contender" having tough fixtures, it maybe our week to open up some gap. pool play away to newcastle. tottenham play away to villa, united host southampton and city play away to west ham. so i expect atleast 3 out these 4 to drop points. will be interesting to watch jose's team selection for the game.

yes we can, but jose has already said that we wont.

was not that good. only really good "mata" moment was when he played that awesome ball to oscar who shot the ball closer to the thrown line than the goal. was unable to control the game too. very unlike-mata performance.
-
i voted for willian as MOTM simply because he had big-big role in the result of the game and both the goals. remember that he started the counter. but i feel there should be an option to vote for jose too. but not a good performance from the player. cech - 7/10 - normal performance. could not have stopped the goal. otherwise his handling and shot stopiing was brilliant. Cole- 5/10- another hopeless performance. the no. of times norwich played behind him in the 2nd half was just amazing. should be dropped. JT - 7/10 - was a wall and dealt with everything that was thrown in the box.but the only time he dint, we conceded. has to take the blame for the goal. luiz - 7/10 - could have stopped the goal. was ahead of pilkington but dont know how he dint get his head on the ball. but cant blame him. his distribution was decent but his runs were stupid especially with iva free on the right. iva - 7/10- was pretty solid. dealt with the threat of the norwich winger, and also joined in the attack. ramires - 5/10- his worst performance this season. simply could not assert himself in the match. for the first time, some team played the ball around him and was successful. lampard - 6/10-got over-run in the mid when norwich turned on the heat. has lost a lot of speed and simply cant handle counters. mata - 6/10- poor performance. his only good moment was probably that awesome pass to oscar which oscar shot almost to the throw-in line. was not at all influential. oscar - 7/10- got an early goal, but have to say, he had a game just like mata. not many "creative" moments. schurlle - 7/10- started as winger, went to wing-back, then to left-back. brilliant workrate. was much more an attacking threat than oscar and mata with his direct running but his decision making and shots were horrendous. ba-7/10 - was our best player in the 1st half. but simply went AWOL in the 2nd. was a much better direct threat and should have got on the score-sheet atleast once. that rambo low-cross miss from 4 yards was particularly embarassing. hazard - 8/10- was a threat since he came on. the finishing was not particularly good and he still has to work on it. willian - 9/10- dint put a foot wrong since he came on. defended well on the norwich counter and big-big role in both the goal. .
-
THANK U, JOSE....
-
hahahah... LOLMAX...
-
THIS IS WHAT WE NEED OUT STRIKERS DO... HOLD THE BALL FOR THE AMs TO SHOW THEIR CLASS... COME ON!!!
-
he ll get the first goal of the season in PL for our strikers today.
-
ba for etoo, only suprise...
-
^^lol troll... line ups??

this season is ssooooooooooooo odd. united have been absolute shit. but if we lose tomorrow, we have 11 points in 7 games compared to 10 in 7 from united. anyways with city, pool, united winning today and with tottnham playing whu at white hart lane (no way they drop points) and with arsenal in the form they are in currently, simply cant drop points tomorrow in any way. last week the draw against tottenham seemed like a win because of othr result. tomorrow a draw would feel worse than a loss because of the results.
-
with pool, city, united winning today and with tottenham playing west ham at white hart lane and with arsenal in form, tomorrow becomes a must-win.
-
his "attitude" was fine. tell me how some1 has a attitude problem one day and on going to another club, everythin simply goes fine. and this is not a summer transfer with 2 months to settle and all, it was 1st jan-chelsea and 2nd jan-liverpool issue. sturridge is a player who wants to play and prove what he has got. and that is the right attitude to have. his desperation to play and prove coupled with his striker instinct or "selfishness" on the pitch was very wrongly construed as attitude problem.
-
everton in general were poor or rather were simply over-run and over-powered by city.
-
that is a very pessimitic and prejudiced way to look at things. the first goal that lukaku scored against newcastle was a counter with defenders out of position as u have shown but u dont take into account how that came to be. it was lukaku's ball to mirallas on the right which got him into that position. etoo was 4 yards from the goal but could not score. his 2nd goal against everton was from a long ball from howard and a mistake from newcastle but u still have to finish them. tell me how many of everton's defensive mistake were we able to finish. i dint watch the west ham match so wont comment on it. the kind of goal lukaku scored today against city, has been scored many times over and over again by a special guy named DD. hell he just scored a similar one against juve in CL. a lot of times when playing city (and other big teams), our striker will find himself alone upfront and cech and the defenders will feel the need to hoof the ball to release the pressure. and at that point it is upto the striker to produce something special and lukaku did do that today. can the 3 we have do the same? i really doubt that.
-
as soon as i finished posting my reply to choulo, i had edited it to make myslef clear and compare him while playing to what happened to everton when kone came on. dude, the point of having a striker in such a system then changes. today lukaku had 1 half chance which he scored, and one 25% chance in which naismith failed to trap the ball and it was him vs a joe hart, who was always going to get there first. point is does torres provide us what lukaku cant (raw physicality to get into the face of defenders, speed, to convert long balls and half chances and be a poacher in the box and to provide an outlet for our AMs and iva to cross in the box)? i honestly dont think so. and things that torres provides, we have in abundance from our AMs (fluidity, link-up play).
-
hahahaha.... nice one...
-
and how is that same as "stranded". lukaku had no outlet when jagielka and distin cleared the ball to him. and yet he held the ball well enough to bring them into play. twice lukaku got the ball and started a counter and was fouled poorly and kompany got a yellow for that and silva should have it the first half. as for the torres discussion, our AMs play the way they are being told to play. if torres cant combine with them then it is due to his lack of quality and his shortcoming. it has nothing similar to being stranded and totally alone the way lukaku was today.
