meh!! whu are giant killers, and we are no giants at present.
-
we could have bought rakitic instead of cesc. or in the recent past one of schneiderlein or schweinsteiger!

fair enough, i get what you are saying, but what i dont get is how or why it has been so. oscar or hazard or cesc or matic are not the first bunch of players to play a fair chunk of the season. lamps did it for years. neville, scholes have done it for years. if you are talking about fatigue i have to disagree. if you are talking about niggling injuries which dont go away, maybe. but more than injured, these players look disheartened. uninterested. for all the talk of backing jose and jose being the best manager in the world to the last person in the squad, most of the players look like they dont give a shit about the manager, the club or the game. and i am talking mostly about attackers - hazard, cesc, oscar, costa, pedro. they dont look like they are enjoying their game. so i dont know if its injuries or just something mental.
-
he is still "burned" out? for fuck's sake he got his summer off - 2months. we were done with the league 3 matches before (1month) and he has barely played any football this season (2months). i guess i am burned out too playing that match last year for my college team. whats even sadder is the fact that i wish he starts the game against whu as i dont want to see cesc in the starting line up. :sigh: things i do for love chelsea.

a good away performance. european away nights are never ever easy. look at bayern. there is a bigger difference between bayern and arsenal than there is between chelsea and kiev at the moment. i honestly thought this was our best performance this season and infact our best performance in a long long time. we defended brilliantly. we attacked well and we deserved a win. begovic - nothing to do in the first half but made a couple of good saves in the second. that palm away was a life saver. 8/10 zouma - a few poor moments in the first half but after the nervy start he was absolutely brilliant. how many points could we have saved with this obvious solution. :sigh: 7/10 GC - flawless. covered JT a couple of times. wonderful last ditch tackles. a brilliant performance. 10/10 JT - was solid most of the game. a poor clearance could have killed us. 7/10 azpi - man oh man!!! this guy is too good. owned yarmelenko. absolutely owned him. 10/10 matic - "awful". for me despite his apparent "awful" start to the season, this should have been his 4th MOTM performance (city, palace, everton and now kiev). this is what happens when you dont have mister no balls along side you. i have been saying this, and i will reiterate, matic's "loss of form" was as much his fault as the defensively incompetent partner that he was given. had a brilliant performance and he should have scored too. 10/10 ramires - oh dear. his youth coaches should be given a kick up their asses. there are 2 aspects of a football game - attack and defence. rambo needs to learn the former. cant count the number of times he won the ball by a tackle or an interception or this or that. and i cant count the number of times he lost the ball straight away due to a poor pass. that pass to hazard on the counter which was just a bit behind him killed the whole momentum of the counter. he should have crossed the ball well on 2 occasion specially when their left back slipped and lost the ball. nonetheless we have found our midfield 2. be it against bournemouth/watford or city/untied. simply cos when cesc play in the mid 2, we have to score 3 goals to win a game, playing rambo, we might be able to do that with 1.attack - 2/10, defence - 10/10 cesc - a "decent" performance by his standard. did not lose the ball as much, held the ball better, passed it better. but no where near good enough. should be dropped. 6/10 hazard - showed some glimpses of the old hazard. a few. still a long way to go before we can say he is back. unlucky not to score. 6/10 willian - another awesome performance. his setpieces have become so good that its unreal. honestly, where the fuck has this come from? his overall play has improved too. so sad that most of the attackers (cesc, hazard, costa) were average. 8/10 costa - aerially - non-existent. hold up play - nonexistent. link up play - dont even bother. the only good thing was around and closing down. but even that was useless cos cesc could not be bothered. a very poor showing. 4/10 subs - oscar - subpar. but looking at our condition, should get the nod ahead of cesc for whu more cos of cesc and how he will get bullied on and off the ball by whu than anything else. 5/10 win against kiev at home and we are almost through. getting to the next round is important more than the position. but some positive signs. i honestly can take away more positives from this draw than that win against villa. COME ON CHELSEA!!!
-
on merit, cant see anything other than bego zouma GC JT azpi matic rambo willian oscar hazard costa (just because remy and falcao are both crap).
-
he has been "AWFUL". and once again a certain poster has been made to look like a moron. this is what happens when matic has a good midfield partner alongside him. has absolutely bossed the mid so far. just waiting for rambo to be taken out and cesc the great to show his uselessness as a DLP again.

RLC is a professional footballer, playing for a team like chelsea. are you telling me he cant play 90 minutes? if yes, then jose's judgement is way more worse than i thought before. dont say that he is just 19. i have seen 19 year olds play 90 minutes twice in a single week and still fit enough to play a match. again, why is not cesc benched? what has he done to guarantee a first team place?
-
sorry, dude, cant agree with most of what u said. baba was good in 2nd half. did not a single mistake or give any leeway in the 2nd half. what creativity are you talking about? when was the last time cesc did anything creative or "control the tempo" etc etc as people claim he can do. what difference would would RLC/musonda/boga/baker have made against villa if they were playing in place of cesc? i honestly think they would have been far far better. if jose loved the club, he would have kicked cesc out of the team a long time ago. his continous inclusion of cesc in the main team smacks of nothing but ego and favouritism.
-
dude seriously? so RLC not being in the squad after being subbed for no good reason after 45minutes now means that he is probably injured? and that too after the presser? come on dude, even you know the truth, why not just accept it. and even if RLC is injured, cesc is playing as a no.10 unless rambo is on the wings. why is not oscar starting in place of cesc? cesc has been warned? seriously? its been 13 matches of absolute and total shit and he has been WARNED? again with judging baba. lets talk about his 2nd half performance. tell me about it. i think we have gone through this before. you are a good poster, but your jose favourtism is clouding your judgement over some issues which are GLARING towards us.
-
no jose has not dropped iva and cesc. the only reason baba has played is because iva is injured, no other reason. iva could and probably did cost us 5-10 or maybe a whole season and he still would not have been benched, just like cesc. how many matches is cesc going to cost us? i am sorry, but he has done nothing on MERIT. if he had done things on meritocracy, the first 2 people to be dropped would have been iva and cesc. you can keep changing X/y or Z player and nothing will change when you are unwilling to change your tactics, your attitude, your ego and at the least face your problems head on. ps - cesc starts, RLC not even on bench. that JOSE for u.
-
goal-scorer, assist provider, good crosser, good passer, good dribbler, good pace, brilliant work rate brilliant movement brilliant understanding of the game. for me, he is the epitome of jack of all trades. he can as easily play LW/RW as LM/RM as CAM as ST.
-
muller is one. and for me, he is one of the best players in the world. people talk about messi, CR and then talk about hazard, neymar, suarez, bale, sanchez. sorry, but i would take muller ahead of all of them in my team (obviously except for messi and CR).
-
"I speak with him every day, it's quite strange the media knows something I or my club don't know." "He has to give us more than Diego Costa. We normally play with one striker and I always go for the performance level. It's a direct competition - the best one plays. It can be tough." hahahhahahahahhahahhahaha.. nice one jose, nice one!!! i needed this pick me up.  ps - its not about diego but the obvious culprits here - iva and cesc
-
each has his own strength. as a dribbler and on the ball player, hazard is miles ahead of bale. as a player who can decide games, bale is miles ahead of hazard. if it means getting a big pile of cash along with bale (the pile of cash to be spent on throwing out cesc and buying a proper CM), then i am all for it.
-
i am sorry, but this hazard exodus is even more of a joke. i mean we have a player like cesc right in the middle of the park not giving a fuck for most of the match and jose is singling out the only world class player in our team!!! seriously jose? why was not cesc benched after his defensive fuck up in that corner. or when he completely slept and failed to mark his man for soton's first goal. double standards and more double standards.
-
brilliant point. simple cant argue with this. the only thing i would like to say is, baba is still a pretty unknown entity for most of us. no one can make any sort of judgement on him based on his 3 performances. his villa performance can best be explained as a jekyl and hyde performance. he was pathetic in the first half, and quite good in the second. i feel, he needs to be given more chances. if he cant prove himself, then slowly blood him in. and if he actually puts in good performances against kiev and whu, then why not continue him? the point with baba is that the only person who actually watches him week in and week out, has made some massive blunders in the window, and in the games this season. the person who actually knows baba inside out (or should know baba) also thinks that cesc should be playing 90minutes every game. so the only way to actually judge baba, is for him to get some more game time.
-
nothing i saw in the last 45minutes against villa showed that baba would be banged by payet. it will be a massive struggle. but i would rather watch a 21 year old playing getting the appropriate experience than watch a 31 year old player who 99% wont be with us next year.
-
i would take rambo's hopeless passing over cesc's "i cant even start to give a shit" attitude.
-
you forgot to jot down the most important aspect.. their heights!!! very poor of u alex
-
so are wba and newcastle.
-
baba had a very good second half. compared to the first half, the only reason i can come up with for the difference in performance is nervousness which is understandable. so i cant judge him on this game. and i definitely cant say that jose is right. the point is we kept a clean sheet. if iva had played, grealish would have raped him. ps - iva has got his shit together? in the last 2 games he played, he was man-handled by brahimi and was dancing to the tune of tadic.
-
the worst chelsea player on the pitch AGAIN. or wait, technically not again cos iva beats him to it. now since there was no iva, cesc happily took what has always been his. another game full of missed passes, useless in defence etc etc, as his is his norm. eden has been benched as he does not do the "job" and yet this moron keeps on playing. as for posters saying that we need to change our system for him, i am sorry, BUT NO. the only player for whom we should be changing the way we play is hazard, not cesc. cesc is a CM, a CM who cant defend if his life depended on it. sorry, but no CM should be needing the support of other players to do his dirty work. as barbara mentioned, he cant change games on himself, then why would i want a defensive liability right in the middle of the pitch where the games are won or lost? he is not mata, he is not ozil, he is no where near the hazard we know. those are the players who can turn the match on its head. those are the kind of players who despite being liabilities, can still be the difference in a good way to the team they are playing for. the way villa were dominating us, was shameful and embarassing. honestly, i dont even get why people say cesc controls the "tempo". no he does not. there is a reason why someone as bad defensively as him is a CM and not a CAM. he cant hold the ball, he cant shield the ball, his decision making is slow, he is ponderous on the ball and more often than not, he loses possession when pressed. the only time he can "control the tempo" is when the team is a man or 2 down (arsenal). even the slightest inclination on pressure (newcastle, palace, soton) and he is SHITE. total and utter SHITE.
-
in a real world we should start with something like begovic azpi zouma JT baba matic rambo willian RLC oscar costa.
-
the only positive - we won. except for that, nothing. begovic - nothing to do really. 7/10 baba - atrocious first half. very nervous. but a very good 2nd half. defended well in the 2nd half. and we did not concede with only 3 tall players despite villa having some set pieces. hmmm strange. 2/10 for the first half, 7/10 for the 2nd. JT - covered brilliantly for baba. was really good. him in and iva out, and we keep a clean sheet. who would have thought, right jose? 9/10 zouma - another brilliant game from the young man. 7/10 azpi - why the fuck does he give so many fucks? i mean take a leaf out of cesc's book. on a serious note. brilliant. iva would have been raped by grelish and we would have dropped points for sure. 9/10 rambo - poor passing. but brilliant pressing. his tackle won the ball for the 2nd goal. decent performance. 6/10 cesc - and the fraud does it again. yet he plays 90minutes. the last play where he simply slept on the ball right outside the villa last 3rd was a perfect example of his game. shit. poor. atrocious. and yet he keeps playing 90mins. 2/10 willian - single handedly keeping jose in CFC. brilliant in every aspect. our best player since january despite great minds like gilvorak saying that he is bang average. 10/10 RLC - dont know why he was taken out. good pace, good pressing, has some good skills with the ball. needs to do a bit more in tracking back, but when the person replacing you is cesc, u have to wonder, was he worse than cesc in covering, oh hell no. 7/10 pedro - selfish. poor. but needs to be given time to settle in. 5/10 costa - one of our better players on the pitch. not for the goal or the OG, but for a change he wanted to play football than fight. 8/10 subs - matic - mid looked far far more ecure with him on the pitch. surprising? not for me. we still have not scored a goal from a proper attack. anyways, a win is a win.
