we should have been top of the table at the end of the day, but we are going to be 5 points behind arsenal now!!! u heard it here first.
-
no way... he deserves a ballon d'or.
-
another brilliant performance. oh wait!!!
-
oh dear!!! november is here!!! how does this happen every bloody time. what a hopeless performance. newcastle totally deserved it. frustrated us in the 1st half and then simply ran thru us. cech- dint have anything to do in the 1st half. could not have done anything for both the goals. did his best to keep the score 0-0 when cole so mind-numbingly fucked up. 7/10 ivanovic - one of the 2 players who seemed to care about the game. but simply could not do anything to influence it. 7/10 luiz - he should be played against strikers like bendtner only. shambolic in the 2nd half. even ameobi went past him.nothing i can say can be worse. 5/10 terry - MOTM. CAPTAIN. LEADER. LEGEND. would have been 4-0 without him. though i still dont know if it was him who lost the man for the first goal.9/10 cole- another mediocore winger OWNED him. bertrand should get a chance to prove himself. at this moment BERTRAND IS A BETTER LEFT BACK THAN COLE. townsend, naismith, salah and now sissokho. disgraceful performance. 1/10 ramires - felt he was decent. did his bit of running but lamps had a complete shocker today. on a personal level, he was man-marked by tiote everytime we started an attack. 7/10 lamps- this has to be one of the WORST performances i have seen from lamps. absolute shocker. what percentage of his forward passes did he complete. 5/10 hazard- except for the first 5 minutes he was poor. especially against a full-back that played 120 minutes against city in the mid-week. 6/10 oscar- another one that was subdued. simply could not do anything substantial. was still the best of our trios. 7/10 mata- very poor. could not get any purchase against his full-back and hopelessly made us short of any width by coming central. he needs to stick to the game plan. 6/10 torres- i actually cant remember the moment when he touched the ball and we retained possession. he was full of running and closing down but pathetic in every other way. 6/10 subs - etoo- should have scored. should have flicked the ball to hazard instead of shooting. simply ot good enough. 6/10 willian- was very good since he came on. if jose wanted to play any1 from the mid-week game, it should have been him. 8/10 schurlle - another one full of running. and had a good impact. 7/10

if we take 3 points today, we will be top of the table by the end of today itself... no way those gooners are winning against pool.

Hazard and Mourinho up for FIFA awards
didierforever replied to Jase's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
sure. as u say. -
i think he himself made it clear what we are doing with him. this is his 3rd year in CFC, so as to make him classify him as homegrown (cl-wise). also he has been doing great in the reserves and the CL-youth league. honestly i feel playing in youth-CL in 100 times better than playing in a championship side.

i have no idea of what is going on at valencia. but i ll like to comment on what i have actually seen. and what i have seen is the fact that he is a decent player and will get better with age (unless he is totally hampered by injuries). also avb was not the only one who trusted him. rdm went into a season with just 2 cdms out of which one was romeu. RAFA on the other hand chose him ahead of mikel in the short time that romeu was fit before he had his injury. so that 3 out of 3 managers in chelsea that he had a chance to play for.

no argument to this or the other thing i posted to you. the only thing u r able to write is "u have no idea"... just goes on to show u actually has an idea and who does not. -
matic too was considered to be "no where near our required quality". but when given a chance, he has become "should be bought at 40mil" quality player now. josh is 20 right now. his career has barely started and u call it bust already. romeu already has proven that he is there-thereabouts. if u r telling me that romeu cant play a squad role alongside the likes of rambo, mikel, alonso/witsel, mvg... i ll have to say there is something wrong with u cos just a season ago he was deemed to be good enough to be one of our main cdms when we had only rambo, mikel, lamps and romeu as our options. moral of the story - we dont need to buy a squad player for 20-40mil. our players are good enough to do the job. jose has said that chalobah could already have made the squad.

Hazard and Mourinho up for FIFA awards

so??? what has that got to do with ballon d'or 2013!!! ribery was the best player in 2013 and deserves ballon d'or. otherwise lets give the ballon d'or to maradonna or pele cos they are considered to be the best players ever. -

ben arfa can do things mata cant or schweini cant or yaya cant. but that does not mean u put him in a ballon d'or list. the ballon d'or list gives u the players who have PERFORMED best in the last year. not the ones who have the most potential or cant go give a defender night mares in one match while being shit in 10 others. consistency of performances, level of performances, everything is taken into consideration. let me try this another way (and for the last time) by your argument. if say, MESSI, played absolute CRAP in a year scoring 5 goals, assisting 5 goals(just as an example dont start getting edgy cos i said, every1 precious messi scores just 5 in a year), so he should still be in the list!!!!???? why because he is still a better player than all the others in the world, right?? so irrespective of his performance in the year, only the best 23 players in the world should make the list, not the best 23 PERFORMANCE-based players??? your argument makes absolutely no sense. hazard is better than dribbling in mata, and has better speed than mata and has better this or that, but what has THAT got to do with football. MATA put in the performances that were better. he was our best player of the year, in a team that had hazard, still he was our POTY for a reason. the reason being as simple as MATA played better. -
2-3 years away? i think romeu and josh were 2-3 years away even 2 years ago. they are not magically going to become "good enough" to play for the first team in a single day. remember what romeu had done against city 2 years ago? we have a lot of potential in our youth players and that potential will come out only if they are trusted and given a chance to prove. look what matic has been able to acheive in 2 years' time. also mvg is already good enough to play. if he was not then tell me why mourinho took a decision of putting his name in the CL squad but not essien. this cleanly indicates that mou thinks mvg was more than ready to play a part for us this season itself. so as i see it, next year we will have mikel, rambo, alonso(?), mvg with the option of romeu, josh and lamps or essien for the squad role. there is no place and absolutely no need to go out and spend big money on a midfielder (that is if we get alonso, if not then splash the cash on witsel).

if it had been some1 like kalou who would have had a game like kdb did, then my oh my!!!, hell would have risen on this forum...
-
great. hope he lives up to what we have seen of him...
-
we have the likes of romeu, chalobah, josh, ginkel on the fringes along with rlc and baker in the academy, why do u want to buy a squad midfielder. plus matic will come for close to 30-35mil. no way. i would rather that jose trusts our youth.
-
ok. A+ team and A team . the points is, its very tedious to keep writing "i hope willian, etoo, kdb, mata, azpi, bert, essien, mikel get some playing time"... every time.
-
after what happened yesterday, we SHOULD be winning this. newcastle played their first team, 120 minutes of hard-fought football and in the end were knocked out. they have to be tired and a little de-motivated. plus we have been on a great run(touchwood) and our first team have had a nice week's rest. we should not be dropping any points here.
-
another away game... wtf!!!... that too if we get southampton, that would be a real hard match. i would have taken the mancs at home rather than southampton away right now. the mancs are so far behind and have so much ground to make up in the PL that none of the managers would even have had the balls to risk playing their A-teams. and our B-team is definitely better in quality than either's. on the other hand, southampton will play their first team, and it would be interesting to see us cope against there fast, high pressing game. i just hope we win against schalke, top the CL group, so that our B-team can get some playing time.
-
no. would be a poor signing. would be another stop-gap signing. he will turn 32 in never, will be back from a 6 month lay-off, moreover if we buy him, i dont see us buying a long-term solution in summer as we have some options in this area in rambo, lamps (maybe no extension), essien, mikel, mvg, chalobah, josh. for a short-term solution this might work but not the most ideal signing for me specially considering his age and recent injuries. better would be to sell ba and mikel in the window, generate some funds (if needed) and buy bender/witsel.
-
the draw will be after tonight's games or after the southampton-sundeland game?
-
MOTM for me. should get more of a look into the 1st team.
-
???? how??? arsenal's GD is 11 and ours is 10. if they draw and we win by 2 goals we go on top by GD. if we win by 1 goal we would be 2nd as arsenal have 20 goals compared to our 16.
-
tricky fixture. i feel we lost 3 points here last season due to defensive short-comings.this time around i hope we can thrash them and continue this great run. the team i would play is cech iva cahill JT bert rambo lamps hazard oscar schurlle torres. the same one that started against city.
