should be trusted more by mou than has been the case. GC has consistently performed wonderfully and has not done anything wrong this season (aguero's goal was cech's mistake, not GC's). moreover GC-JT partnership looks solid and wonderful. dont see any need to break it up without a reason just to give luiz another chance.

damn shit!!!! these 2 games could have been so important in making him a real contender for cole's spot.

brilliant result and brilliant performance. 3 goals and all from our strikers. dint think there would be a match in this season where i would be saying that. with this result and the basel result we just need 3 points in the next 2 games (maybe not even that if bucuresti keeps taking points off other teams) and we will be top. the perfect performance to answer all the critics about our last match. here is my player rating cech- another "cechesque" performance. dealt with all the crosses masterfully. made A good save. 8/10 iva- full of running, full of energy, got himself into a number of good positions in attack only to be let down by the standard of cross. should be doing better in that aspect. 6/10 cahill- wonderful performance. that tackle from the outside of the boot in the box was ORGASMIC. showed why he should be partnering JT and SHOULD BE SELECTED AHEAD OF LUIZ. also GC-JT get another clean sheet to their name. co-incidence???!!! i dont think so. 9/10 JT- solid. specially in the first 5-10 minutes when we seemed to be all over the pitch. made some important interceptions and in general was SOLID. 8/10 azpi - started the game poorly but finished it wonderfully. the number of interceptions he made and the no. of times he got the better of draxler was amazing. 8/10 rambo - its getting so repetitive and boring to say this for all of his performance "NOT LIKE A BOSS, BUT THE BOSS HIMSELF". his run for the 2nd goal where he simply took the CB along with him, showcase the amount of work he does for the team. 9/10 mikel - love him or hate him, he gets the job done. he IS a better DM than SFL specially against big teams where we need that stability in front of the back 4. 7/10 schurrle - has been better than hazard this season and this performance showed exactly why. he is not trying to be a playmaker and he is not trying to do fancy stuff with the ball. whenever he gets the ball, he runs with it towards the LB, makes the apt runs and works awesomely for the team's defence. 7/10 oscar - the perfect link up guy. he is the key to our transition from defence to attack. he is the key to us defending as a unit by marking the opposition midfielders out of the game. good game. 7/10 willian -MOTM. what a buy he has been. BLOODY BALL OF ENERGY!!! him, rambo and oscar just simply dont stop running. amazinf workrate, amazing runs, provides with the width when attacking and the perfect pacy counter option when defending. between him and MATA on the right-wing, WILLIAN SHOULD BE SELECTED. 10/10 etoo- good link up play, good hold up play (suprisingly). the 2nd time he has got the better of a keeper. and the finish to his 2nd goal was top-notch. 8/10 subs: ba - good goal. i have no doubt that he ll be starting against wba due to the physicality factor. suprisingly dint look rusty to me. 8/10 kdb- decent 15 minutes. does not help him to get in the first team but still hope to see some of his class that people talk about. 7/10 lamps - not much to say. great chip/pass to ba. my only problem with the match was that bertrand dint get a chance. he was good against cardiff, he was brilliant against arsenal and definitely deserved a chance today. hopefully he starts this weekend.

luiz wont make the match-day squad itself. ake starting for this one would be a real shocker as he just played and captained the chelsea u 19 team to a win over schalke.

as u said, "he is not in a great form" and add to that the FACT (not a myth as some1 people like to call somethings) that these are the stats of PL2012-13, adds no good to luiz. our win % has probably been worst among any player in the squad compared to luiz this season.

the most amazing thing happened to me on sunday. if there if any indian around, he/she ll vouch for me when i tell u that football is not that popular sport around here. specially in the generation older to mine (i am 21). its only now that football has started getting any popularity here and it is still light years behind cricket. anyways to get to the point, my father and i were just watching some television on sunday and i switched on eveton vs tottenham for sometime. after watching for 10 minutes, my father looked at an everton player and exclaimed, "THATS YOUR PLAYER, RIGHT?". he was obviously refering to ROMELU LUKAKU (who else), and he had thought that lukaku was actually Didier Drogba (who he knows, i simply love). it was a pretty nice moment for me.

if we win against schalke then the group will be chelsea 9 points basek 7 points schalke 6 bucuresti 1 then even if we lose to basel basel 10 chelsea 9 schalke 9 bucuresti 1 last match will be schalke vs basel and chelsea vs bucuresti. i seriously cant see basel winning at schalke especially when their own qualification is on the line. we should be winning a home game to bucuresti anyways. so not to get too ahead of myself but if we win this match the pressure will be all on the other teams to make their moves rather than on us.

yup. its good we have to only play 4 more matches in november. out of which 2 are at home. if we win both the ones at home, the away match at basek becomes almost inconsequential unless they beat schalke away from home, which is not gonna happen. the 4th match is whu (away), thats going to be one disappointment...

tbh i still feel GC-JT have been very steady and very good. they have played hull, villa, united,fulham,schalke, city and conceded just 2 goals. and while we are saying that GC needs to sort his shit out, i feel he has been very good. the aguero goal was NOT his mistake by any stretch of imagination. if u give me a chance of taking a ST at an acute angle against the near post of cech, i would take that. against arsenal and schalke he was good and steady. its just the DL fans that feel GC is a patheitic defender who has no technical ability etc etc.

azpi-iva-JT-bert. at this moment, this will probably be our best back 4.

i dont see barca doin it cos u dont see them losing. they have 31 points in 11 ganes, what does that tell u. now look at united and city. and see them for an example. defenders like rio totally out of form has been benched for evans (just one example). jose is an exceptional manager and u expect him to know his own trade (and he damn well does). moreover, these are profesional players who can see more than us fans, what is going on. who is in form and who is out of it.

every big team in the world, CHELSEA,BAYERN, BARCA, RM, UNITED, CITY etc etc have a big squad. bayern have an equally bigger squad to us when they have 4 league games less to play and 1 domestic tournament less to play and all this is done not wothout a reason. when u want to win trophies, u have to win majority of the matches. u cant afford to have an out of form CB (luiz), an out-of form LB (cole), a highly constrained and way past his prime CDM (lamps), play against a team like newcastle at st. james' park. there are better options than what these guys can provide us with right now. GC, bert, mikel have already shown they can. schurlle has set the scene on fire and deserves to be selected ahead of our not in top-form yet POTY for the last 2 years, mata. this is the sacrifice we have to make for being the title challengers. we cant provide the players with their own sweet time to get back into top form to clinch top 4, cos we have to win the other matches too to win the league. for eg- against schalke, i see no reason why any of mata, luiz, cole, lamps should start.

what is the point of having a big squad with more than able replacements if we dont drop those out of form and replace them with the players who definitely look to be better? as well play with players like marin and benayoun so as not to have any hope of the team ever changing.

nned to win to atleast get this CL qualification out of the way. need to re-gain all the lost momentum and prove the point that we wont be having another winter slump. cech azpi CAHILL JT bert mikel rambo willian oscar schurlle torres. schurlle should start ahead of hazard as he has been better this season. willian has been great too, his performance against arsenal and even his 20 odd minutes today were fabulous. mikel deserves a chance over lamps and cole needs to be benched for a bloodu month after the game he had today. cahill over luiz should be a MUST in every must-win game from now on.
